We are just loving your videos Dee, they are getting better and better🥰🤩👏. We can always feel your excitement at getting to the summit, your love for the mountains comes across so much😊🙏 love it!!! You guys did so well, and what a day for it! Do you think so? 🤔 I just keep thinking who the hell wants to watch me huff and puff like a pervert down the phone when I'm walking and tell bad jokes? Hang on, I'm pretty sure there could be an only fans for this! What the hell am I doing posting this stuff to RUclips! 🤣 I think living in Finland for a while made me appreciate home a little bit more when we came back. As much as I love Finland, it will always have a piece of my heart there but, Buttermere got quite a chunk of it when I first visited last year. When I started hiking, after coming back, I thought peaks like this would be out of my league. So when I find routes which means they are accessible, I appreciate it a whole lot more. God knows what I'm doing next, although have a small adventure planned in Buttermere with Charly at the end of April... But you will have to wait for that 😁 I'm in love with the smock. If it wasn't so warm at the moment, I think I'd sleep in it 🤣 Thanks so much for the love and support 😊💜🙏
@Northern Chubby Gurl Adventures we really do think so YES Dee! You doubt yourself too much, you have a fab channel! We love seeing you get to the top of the peaks (not in a weird way mind!🤣🤣). Your humour and jokes always make us laugh, and we really feel like you will inspire people to get out there. The peaks don't belong to the ultra fit, they are there for anyone with a true love for the outdoors🥰🤩. Excited to see your adventure at the end of April😊👏. Hello Dee, I came over from Alan Metalman’s shoutout of ya and your beautiful hikes. I can’t ever see too much beautiful scenery and you certainly deliver 🤩👍🏻
Wow what stunning views on your hike! I think 3 hats are necessary, you need to be prepared. We're new here, have just subscribed and are looking forward to seeing more of your adventures 😊
Hi! 🙋 Thank you so much for the sub! Welcome to the mad channel! 😂 Maybe I should try and get as many hats as I can into one of my videos 😂 And they are absolutely, 100% an essential item! Thank you so much for your kind words and support ☺️💜🙏
That looked like a beautiful mountain day. You are doing great things and I look forwards to seeing more. Thanks for sharing beautiful places. Love from us both XXXXX
Hi Dee- beautiful hike! Did look a bit windy, but the views along the way and up at the top were worth it! I came over from Alan Metalman Outdoors channel, happy to meet you. New friend and sub from Washington State 😁 ☀️🌻🌻🐝🐝
Good evening!! The lovely Alan!! A fellow Northerner also!! 😊 It was a bit, but it's expected being up there, it's normal round these parts, luckily, I'm quite heavy so won't go far 😂 It's one of my favourite hikes, absolutely beautiful and my favourite place in the world! Thank you so much for your kind words and support ☺️🙏💜
Great minds Dee! Both of us tackling similar fells at the same time! That wind kept picking up didn’t it? You found a great route up,never seen it from that approach before! Love how honest you are about mistaken turns, you are a real trooper! We still make them even with all the kit and more besides, very easy to do! Fleetwith Pike has to be THE most iconic fell in the Lakes, its drawn painters and photographers to its shore on Buttermere for centuries. Great choice of fell. Great music and editing! With you every step of the way, you are an absolute legend! Enjoyed every millisecond of you at the summit, might have even cried a little bit, dont tell Jill 🤣. You are a Lake District warrior ♥️
For a fat lass my butt nearly tipped over a few times due to the wind 🤣 It was a good little route. There's 2 on the OS Maps and the one we took was probably a bit longer and a little more challenging but it was just enough though. Glad we took the easier one on way back, was bloody knackered. I don't think my knees have recovered from doing down the mine road, god it's steep! But still had the best day. It is, I was pretty taken back the first time I saw Buttermere the other year and it is absolutely one of my favorite places ever. Can't wait for your video now!! 🤣🤣 Don't worry, I won't tell Jill, thank you for all your kind words as always, 💜🙏😊
@@northernchubbygurladventur7539 thanks Dee! It always surprises me how easy it is to go wrong when following OS maps, we did the same thing, on Fleetwith Pike and had to ask a wild camper for help. We presumed they knew where they were going because they were wearing all the right kit, they didn’t, they were really clueless! Ultimately I resorted to my Garmin etrex 32x which showed us that we were about 600 foot off the path. By the time we got back on track there was little daylight left. Great video, looked like a windy one! Cracking views at the top, and a lovely clear sky it's one I've never done but is now on my list 😀 thanks for sharing look forward to the next one 👍

Loved the start and so pleased that you, not only made it but made it on a real clear day, as (imo) one of the best views in the Lakes over Buttermere from there. You did right going up from the slate mine, I have been 'up the nose' twice and it is a lot harder, as well as obviously longer, loads of false summits and a few bits of hands and feet, not the cheat way, just the sensible way. The jacket looked really good and I was waiting for that baseball cap to fly off lol but it did look really windy and that wind at the beginning of the week was baltic. Great achievement on such a gusty day, real pleased you all got the views your efforts deserved. Fingers crossed you move goes okay, cheers Alan
It was a real punt. Its one I've been so desperate to do but been plucking up the courage and when I saw the weather had to be clear, thought bugger it. Going for it. Haha, I was having to hold on to me hats like and a few times I nearly got blown over, which for someone who weighs so much, shows how blustery it was 🤣 Thanks Alan. Me too, I hate moving 🤣 Thank you so much as always for your kind words and support 😊🙏💓
Thank you so much for the support ☺️🙏💜 The Lake District is a beautiful place, so much here, this is definitely my favourite 😊. Take care and see you soon!! Dee 🦄
I know!! I was getting messages all over going why is it 2 hours of blackness. I thought my goth side had somehow got mixed in their 🤣 Thank you for the support and kind words 😊🙏💓
I love it when someone refers to height in meters but adds the imperial conversion. Very considerate. It sounds very windy up there! Great views & amazing scenery! Nice hike! 😎 I wouldn’t mind having a go at that one myself sometime xx
It's a fab walk. We took the "easy route" although quite steep out the start gate. I know you can go from Buttermere and scramble up the nose of Fleetwith Pike, I watched some videos and decided I like my limb's in one piece 😂 But highly recommend visiting. It's a fab place and you can squeeze in more peaks too if you wanted. It was quite a windy day, I felt it a few times and I'm not exactly "light" to move 😂 I think the metric and imperial measures are because my friend in Finland, I was having to translate stuff all the time so it's just a habit now 😂 Thank you so much for the support ☺️🙏💜
Thank you, I hate moving but needs must. It's a fab walk. Still challenging but great for those wanting to tick off a biggy but without the scary scramble from the front end. Hope you're both well 💓
Absolutely fantastic!! So glad you ticked this one off - You smashed it!! What gorgeous gorgeous views too, wow! Love the terrain, what a great day for a hike! Well done lovely lady, love your positivity!
It's fantastic views. We could even see the coast. It was everything I hoped it would be, shame about it being so gusty but can't have everything. It was pretty good going, it wasn't too bad. A bit boggy in places but there's been a fair amount of rain lately so I'm very grateful to get the sun. Thank you so much for your support and kind words as always, 💜🙏😊 Hope you're doing well
@@northernchubbygurladventur7539 Incredible that your smashing those goals though, wow, deffo has an atmosphere when its boggy but just looking out at the top was wow! :) hehe, doing great thank you :):)
Oh my goodness you guys are so brave. I saw that wind blowing through your jacket as you were hiking up there. Please be safe I was starting to get nervous. The view is so worth it. You guys are truly living life true thank you so much for sharing. Love and light from your friends in small town Appalachia Virginia🌈💙🙋🏻🐶🐱
Thank you so much for your kind words and support 😊💜🙏 It is very much worth the journey up there for the views, and it's the UK, we are used to the wind 😂 plus I'm quite heavy so not going to go very far 😂 We do our best, we work a lot so we like to make the most of our free time when we're not working. Hi to Appalachia Virginia 👋 💜
It was, even for a big lass there was a few moments I was like, I'm guna tip owa here 🤣 It was amazingly clear, we could see the wind farms out to sea! It's still a fair old slog up out the mine though but definitely glad went that way. 😊🙏💜
One of the best views in England that, so glad you got to see it. The joy you showed in reaching the top reminded me of the first time I topped out - such a rush!
Thank you so much for your kind words and support 😊🙏💜 I have to agree with you on that one!! It's been a bucket list hike for a little while and one definitely worth the wait. Can't wait to do it again. And yeah, that feeling is one I will never forget!
It's a fab walk. Not too bad for beginners either who are wanting to tick of a big old hill in the lakes. Just need to be better at navigating than me 🤣 Thank you. I hate moving but needs must
Dang! Stupid YT eating our comments now too Dee, really loved this video, you all did amazingly mazing the summit! And what a day for it, how are you finding the OS maps app? We are looking for a new app and not impressed with Kamoot so far 🗺🧭🧐 The views were to die for and thankfully, no on did! Love the name, Dee-3-hats, wild West mountain cowgal name! Massive congratulations on summiting, what a feeling! Loved it, thanks for taking us along, have a great week, good luck with the move, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 👍 🗺 🧭
I have no idea what is going on with YT at the moment. I even set it to accept all comments in case that's what was causing the issue. I really recommend the OS Map App. Pay for the premium subscription though, it's like £20 odd for the year and you can download the map to your phone to use off line. I'm just terrible at planning and following 😂 even though I uploaded the map to my watch so it would buzz if we were off course. But the buzz on my watch isn't the best. You can also print maps of routes you've made at home too. Haha!! My friend Irene had a complete meltdown, she thought it was a sheer drop on the other side of the cairn, she was literally crawling over to it and Joe had to help her keep her upright 😂 Haha! Joe was thinking I'd brought a change of costume as well. He wondered what else I'd keep pulling out the bag 😂 Thank you, it was so good and still feel like am on cloud 9 even though I'm now full of cold. 😭 Take care the both of you! Thank you for your support and kind words as always 💜🙏😊
Hey Dee this looked lovely! I’m saying 3 hats are necessary for the 3 emotions you feel when climbing a mountain Hate- for the steepness to get up there, Love - the feeling at the summit, Exhaustion- on the way back down….if only every mountain had a zip line! Well done my lovely! How you feeling? Hope it’s not the dreaded covid lurgy! Get well soon! Great video! Thanks for sharing! 👍❤️ Jill xx
Absolutely!! See there is method in the madness for all the hats! 🤣 Oh god, yes a zip line and then I can just collapse and look like a corpse being flung down the zip line 🤣 and have a note pinned to demanding cake! Speaking of cake, cake in the slate mine cafe is 👌 I feel like my head is a giant pimple which needs popping! Not covid, it's probably a cold from being stood out in the freezing wind on Saturday night... Too busy gassing with just a thin top on 🤣 me own fault. Thank you as always 💜🙏😊

Well done Dee, it’s great to see how happy you got when you got to the top, it makes all the hard work worth while I commented earlier but I can’t see it so god knows what I’ve done there Speak soon xx
Bloomin RUclips was on one. But then I had to delete the first upload as for some reason there was an extra 2 hours of just blackness at the end of the video. So had to take it down and sort it out. I was so chuft. This is one where I thought I may have been out of my league a little bit but from the slate mine much more manageable than I thought. If I had to come up the nose of it, I don't think I'd have made it. Thank you so much for your support and kind words as always 💜🙏😊

The Lake District is a beautiful place, so much here, this is definitely my favourite 😊. Take care and see you soon!! Dee 🦄
Wanted to pop back over and re watch this one. Dang editor. Great video.
I know!! I was getting messages all over going why is it 2 hours of blackness. I thought my goth side had somehow got mixed in their 🤣
Thank you for the support and kind words 😊🙏💓
@@northernchubbygurladventur7539 I let it run for awhile in the "black" figured why not.
@@BravestoneHikes I feel like a missed opportunity there. I could have let it run and put some subliminal messages or something in there 🤣
Thanks for your sharing. 🙏Nice video
Thank you 🙏😊
I love it when someone refers to height in meters but adds the imperial conversion. Very considerate.
It sounds very windy up there! Great views & amazing scenery! Nice hike! 😎 I wouldn’t mind having a go at that one myself sometime xx
It's a fab walk. We took the "easy route" although quite steep out the start gate. I know you can go from Buttermere and scramble up the nose of Fleetwith Pike, I watched some videos and decided I like my limb's in one piece 😂
But highly recommend visiting. It's a fab place and you can squeeze in more peaks too if you wanted.
It was quite a windy day, I felt it a few times and I'm not exactly "light" to move 😂
I think the metric and imperial measures are because my friend in Finland, I was having to translate stuff all the time so it's just a habit now 😂
Thank you so much for the support ☺️🙏💜
Wow so beautiful video . You doing awesome work keep doing . Have a beautiful day ❤️
Very nice work and inspirational. Awesome views and great video too. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you so much for the support 😊🙏
This is one of my favorite walks so far
Glad you got it sorted Dee :) Great hike in a beautiful area and pleased you did it. Loved the views . Hope your move goes well 👍😃Have a great week 💜
Thank you, I hate moving but needs must. It's a fab walk. Still challenging but great for those wanting to tick off a biggy but without the scary scramble from the front end. Hope you're both well 💓
@Northern Chubby Gurl Adventures So good. Love your videos Dee you're so naturally entertaining 😃💕
Thank you so much for your support and kind words as always, 💜🙏😊
Hope you're doing well
@@northernchubbygurladventur7539 Incredible that your smashing those goals though, wow, deffo has an atmosphere when its boggy but just looking out at the top was wow!
Thank you so much for your kind words and support 😊💜🙏
It is very much worth the journey up there for the views, and it's the UK, we are used to the wind 😂 plus I'm quite heavy so not going to go very far 😂
We do our best, we work a lot so we like to make the most of our free time when we're not working.
Hi to Appalachia Virginia 👋 💜
Looks windy but I’m glad you got a clear day 😊 it’s a lovely walk from the slate mine
It was, even for a big lass there was a few moments I was like, I'm guna tip owa here 🤣
It was amazingly clear, we could see the wind farms out to sea!
It's still a fair old slog up out the mine though but definitely glad went that way. 😊🙏💜
Marvellous indeed. Wishing you all the best
Keep it up serving us greatness
Can't wait to be here again
Thank you for your kind words and support 😊🙏💜
Great share.
Thank you 🙏😊
One of the best views in England that, so glad you got to see it. The joy you showed in reaching the top reminded me of the first time I topped out - such a rush!
Thank you so much for your kind words and support 😊🙏💜
I have to agree with you on that one!! It's been a bucket list hike for a little while and one definitely worth the wait. Can't wait to do it again. And yeah, that feeling is one I will never forget!
Nice hike. Wishing you a wonderful day. 👍
Thank you so much ❤️
It is, it's a beautiful place, certainly my favourite 😊
what a great walk, the views are stunning. Hope all goes well with your move and look forward to a review of the jackets
It's a fab walk. Not too bad for beginners either who are wanting to tick of a big old hill in the lakes. Just need to be better at navigating than me 🤣
Thank you. I hate moving but needs must
Dang! Stupid YT eating our comments now too Dee, really loved this video, you all did amazingly mazing the summit! And what a day for it, how are you finding the OS maps app? We are looking for a new app and not impressed with Kamoot so far 🗺🧭🧐
The views were to die for and thankfully, no on did!
Haha!! My friend Irene had a complete meltdown, she thought it was a sheer drop on the other side of the cairn, she was literally crawling over to it and Joe had to help her keep her upright 😂
Haha! Joe was thinking I'd brought a change of costume as well. He wondered what else I'd keep pulling out the bag 😂
Thank you, it was so good and still feel like am on cloud 9 even though I'm now full of cold. 😭
Take care the both of you!
Oh god, yes a zip line and then I can just collapse and look like a corpse being flung down the zip line 🤣 and have a note pinned to demanding cake! Speaking of cake, cake in the slate mine cafe is 👌
I feel like my head is a giant pimple which needs popping! Not covid, it's probably a cold from being stood out in the freezing wind on Saturday night... Too busy gassing with just a thin top on 🤣 me own fault.
Thank you as always 💜🙏😊
Watched this and loved it,another one for my long bucket list, loved the music on this, and the views were amazing, reminds me of parts of the moors.stay safe and have a lovely week ahead debs xx
Thanks Debs, this is a hike I really recommend. I could have stayed there all day and just watched the world go by. Definitely a favorite by far!! Thank you 🙏😊💜
Nice video and channel. 👍👍 keep it up. Ciao from Italy 🇮🇹👍🇮🇹❤️🖤❤️🖤🇮🇹🇮🇹👍👍👍
Hey!! Thank you for the kind words and support 😊💜🙏
Hope you're well and take care
Well done Dee, it’s great to see how happy you got when you got to the top, it makes all the hard work worth while
I commented earlier but I can’t see it so god knows what I’ve done there
Speak soon xx
Bloomin RUclips was on one. But then I had to delete the first upload as for some reason there was an extra 2 hours of just blackness at the end of the video. So had to take it down and sort it out.
I was so chuft. This is one where I thought I may have been out of my league a little bit but from the slate mine much more manageable than I thought. If I had to come up the nose of it, I don't think I'd have made it. Thank you so much for your support and kind words as always 💜🙏😊
@@northernchubbygurladventur7539 you looked so happy when you got to the top, and we can all see how much your confidence is growing so well done and keep
It up xx
That's a stunning location to hike. Congrats on reaching the top! 👍😀 Good luck with the move as well 🤞!
It's a very beautiful spot. Even from the bottom looking up the lake to the mountains. It's a stunning place.
Thank you so much 🙏💜😊
Huge well done, you should be very proud! stunning views, looks like a fantastic hike
Thank you 🙏😊 and it is. One I've been wanting to do a long time. Also my absolute favorite
So so proud!! Definitely one I’d like to do in the future. Perfect weather conditions too x
And we will 💜🙌
Hello Dee :) First of all, I love your accent, it makes me just smile, just as your demeanour, I am just thinking: gosh that lass is awesome, I would love to make friends with her :)
And then, the obvious second thing to look at is the are, what a STUNNING view that is, wow! Amazing adventure, and I am glad I got a recommendation for your channel, because I'm here for more of that :)
Hey hey!! ☺️
Welcome to my crazy weird corner of the web! All who are a little good kinda crazy are welcome!
Haha, I'm glad you like the accent, it's unique to a little corner of England known as Durham. Not quite Geordie, not quite Yorkshire or Cumbrian. And I'm friends with anyone as long as they are cool 😉
Fleetwith Pike and Buttermere are my favourite places ever, they are just stunning and big chunk of my soul is there.
Hope you have a super fantastic week. Please take a look at the other videos if you have time to kill 🤣
Thank you for all your support and kind words 💜
Great video as always, never realized how beautiful that area actually was. Great tour and now I have to look into booking a trip myself :P
Full support to you and your channel! Like 18
Thank you so much for your support 😊🙏
I'm biased but from the peak district and Yorkshire up over its very beautiful areas. The lake district and Scotland are something else. Wales is also another beautiful area. So much to see and do. It would be great if you do!
@@northernchubbygurladventur7539 I’ve always wanted to visit Scotland it looks so beautiful maybe one day I’ll get the chance
@@MaksimOutdoors it's amazing. Glen Coe is stunning and Skye is just amazing also. Not really had much chance to explore either hiking or biking up there. Although been to the world cup mtb race to watch a few times. But the Lake District, I'd say is also a must go to place. You'll get here some day!! 😊
traveling and climbing is very fun my friend
Thank you so much 🙏☺️
Assallamallaikum Wr Wbt 🙏🙏
Thank you 🙏😊
😍😍
Great stuff👍 It's always a great feeling reaching the top. What leggings/ bottoms are you wearing here? I'm plus size ,they look really nice
It is! I was on cloud 9 for a week after this one 😆
I'm wearing a Finnish brand called Halti, they do take a while to come over but are some of the best fitting trousers I have. They are also expensive but totally worth it. I did a blog on my plus size clothing and equipment if it helps you out. The website I would recommend to look to buy them at, is plus snow and Scandinavian outdoors. Hope this helps 😊
@@northernchubbygurladventur7539 thanks, will check out your blog. 👍
