It was nice, apart from the noise from the tower scaring the 💩 out of me 🤣 There is Fluorite all over the place. It was pretty cool. Great for those into their geology!
Thanks for taking us along with you and letting us experience a little bit of the place you've been to! Do take good care of yourselves over there too. Have a blessed day and stay connected~
Beautiful climb comrade. Keep up the good work. You're great Northern Chubby Gurl Adventures. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day. I'm a big fan of yours.
Gooooood evening Dee! Not bad to have such wonder's and beauty close to home! Get well soon Joe, love and hugs 🤗 ❤️ The sky looked cracking and yes so good to see the rivers bursting again! what an interesting and a fab informative montage, everyone loves a montage! Some fab footage too 👌 📹 very horror movie esq 😱 Kat loved all the info 🤓 defo wise to keep away from a stone collecting Hoby, that could get problematic! 🪨 how cool was the old workings 1878 wow! Luckily we missed the graffiti, imagine if someone answered you back lol! 🤯 Thanks for the video and tour, have a great weekend, Ceri and Kat ❤️ 👍 ☕️ 🤗
It's such a cool place, and it's completely free to wonder around! Haha the montage, I think it's my new favourite word lol. I'm glad Kat appreciated the info, and if Kat said it's good I'm happy as I know she's the pro of info. It was and I freaked myself out when a flap of metal moved and I was stood thinking what if someone answered me back and that's when it happened and I just left cos I freaked myself out that much 🤣 And the graffiti was really bad. Even I was stood there thinking "was this really necessary?" Some people, honestly 🙄 Thanks for your support, I'm hoping to do some catching up this weekend! Much love to you two! 💜
Another interesting place here in the North East. Thanks for showing us all round. I hope Joe is recovering from Man Flu - a terrible affliction when it strikes! 😉
Watched this last night and loved it dee, love that stone you picked up.And i would have loved to shouted hello back at you!!.funny thing after watching the serial killer thingy,or is it ceral.never look at the manaquins the same again debs xx 💠
Hey Debs! It was a chunk of fluorite, when researching the mine, there is a vain of green and purple of fluorite in the area. I would have shat myself if I heard something speak back 🤣 x
This was a cracking video I love exploring old industry Dee mines and lots especially 😊👍 I guess it’s in the blood my dad and grandad worked in the pit Fascinating to wonder what’s under our feet 😊 The head gear looked great (not too many left now) Enjoyed Very best wishes Simon 😊🙏🏼 Hope Joe is feeling better 😊👍
Nice little gem. Joe needs some TLC and Chicken Soup. You sure he hasn't got the Rona? That clanging reminded me of old horror movies in a shed when all the farming equipment is clanging together. What would you have done if someone said hello back? I bet that stone would polish up a treat. Thanks for sharing and get well soon Joe.
It is! He didn't have the Rona, he tested twice and both times came back negative. Thankfully he's more like himself now. If someone said anything back I'd have probably shit myself and run 🤣 The rock might do it's fluorite so I don't know how shinny it would go. There's loads of laid around there. Thanks for watching 😊
New to your channel Dee - this one just caught my eye. Really cool to see where the Pit ponies were. It kind of brought that sense of real life to us. I gotta say they certainly squeezed all the minerals out of it over the decades. It earned it's keep so to speak. Well, the weather held off. I imagine they had some bleak times up there. All the best. Mark
Hey Mark! Thank you so much for the sub! There are loads of remains of mines all over the Pennines and North Yorkshire Dales. All within a 30/40 minutes drive of me. It's a great place in the world to be. This is the first mine I visited though that had so much product/material laid around. It's quite a bleak place yes, my friend lives another ten minutes up the road from the mine and when it snows up there, you're not going anywhere 😆 Thanks so much for your support!
Hope Joe has recovered from his bout of man flu, nothing worse! That Mine is like something from Texas Chainsaw Massacre! What a great history you uncovered about it! Great photos of the mine! Awesome adventure, we did enjoy it! ❤
Haha, he's getting there. A lot better than he was but it's still knocked it out of him. It was looking and feeling like that, I kinda freaked myself out to, so it was nice until I gave myself the Heebie-jeebies 😂
Loved the spooky vibe you had going on in this video Dee! Would have made a great Halloween special! 😊 👻 🎃. Interesting place for sure, loved all the fluorite everywhere,i am a bit of a magpie when it comes to anything like that🤩 💎. Funny we are watching Dharma at the moment too, about half way through, i think we would definitely have freaked ourselves out looking into these old abandoned mines too! Especially out there on your own😱😆. Hope Joe is feeling better soon and you guys have a great weekend, much love, Shell and Pete😊👊👍
I know. I should have saved it for the next week, nevermind 😂 It is! And there is loads of it. So you'd love a dog about that place. I watched it all the way through in 2 days 😂 I thought I'd be alright on me own but freaked myself out anyway 🤣 He's on route to being back to himself... Oh goody! 🤣
Never been as far up the dale as Rookhope, really must go there one day and you definitely do not want anything as serious as manful! The abandoned house sure dose sound very horror moveish is indeed, especially with that wind up there. I always think it was such a shame that ponies were used for working in the mines, what an awful existence for them. You would have got a shock mind if someone answered you when she shouted hello down that mine🤣. An interesting and creepy look around the old mine, cheers Alan
I didn't even know the place existed until I went up to Alenheads to my friends. And absolutely not! Joe still isn't up to full fitness still. I'm pretty sure there was a bat flying, I thought it was a bird 🐦 at first but it didn't move like one. That flap of metal freaked me out in the end, when I said hello down, I thought "you idiot, what if it calls back" then the metal flap made a noise and I was just too freaked out to hang around then 🤣 And yeah, the poor ponies. Although generally I do think they got well looked after as they were probably expensive to replace and train. Thanks Alan! Have a look up there, it's pretty cool.
I'd have shit myself is what I would have done if it had. Even when I editing, I was listening to see if I could even hear anything faint 🤣 I'm such an idiot 🤣

Hello lovely lady 🙋🏻♀️ please tell me you kept that stone…..don’t quote me on this, you may need to get a second opinion from other RUclips folk or a jeweller but I think it might be an amethyst?? 😮 I was once told you do something with the full moon with them and they give off magic powers but let me ask Sir Google and I will get back to you Insta style 🤭🤣 enjoyed the creepiness of this mine and the fact you creeped yourself out! Hope Joe is ok 👌 p.s love your hat ❤️🥰🫶💃
Ello! I think the stone is purple fluorite. Apparently, the mine had a vain of green and purple fluorite. And quite a lot of it is scattered about. And that is true about the moon. My friend who's wiccan told me that. So all the types of precious stone she keeps and depending on what they are for, get charged by the moon. And yeah, I have a tendency to do that, I have quite an imaginative mind 🤣 . Joe's on the way to recovery, hes still got some left over cough which he can't shift bless him. Hat is from a company called Zani, highly recommend! Do lots and lots and lots of different colours! Take care you two! Much love! 💜
