That battle against "Ant" at the end... his army units blocked the ramp and his probes tried to escape up the ramp, but got clumped up in front of the army, so the widow mine hit absolutely decimated them. Glorious.

I'm answering the call - as a Protoss enjoyer since Brood War was released, please do a GM challenge series for us as well! Maybe something Sentry related, or did you already do that? I feel it has to be units with lots of micro potential, which fits you perfectly 👌 Whatever it will be, I know it'll be entertaining!

As a modification, I would say to allow liberators. Their anti-air splash is normally laughable, but with raven anti-armor missile, they can pack a punch. Also, their air-splash radius is massive, the same size as a disruptor nova.
That last widow mine shot was insane.
I think it's only right to just add a protoss series since you already got T and Z going. I would like to suggest cannon rush start and transition into air toss.

Cannon -> sky is absolutely delightful, but I think PrintF covers that on the skill side, and Florencio does the crazy tactics side. I'd be interested to see what Marc's madlad mind could do with Forge -> Robo as a framework.
I think ghost,marauder, medivac would be a cool combo with ghost having the increased damage against light and marauder having increased armor damage. Also the sneaky friend and the loud friend

@DavidJohnsonFromSeattle Where I live there is a stereotype that "bird watchers" tend to be a little weird and creepy (staring into people's windows and such)
Its the same here. "Birdwatchers" are the old guys laying in the dense straw at the beach, watching the "birds". Aka the children @@appliedphysicist

For the viewing experience I recommend you put n some extra time and watch the replay and include the explosions screen like a popup
This is not twitch, so youtube (rumble and other similar platforms videos are getting processed as it is to be uploaded here) videos should include these viewer experience aspects as your match progresses

So glad you're doing this. Widow mine + Raven to GM was and still is my FAVOURITE series that BeastyQT did before he left the game. I still watch the playlist, and have been yearning for someone else to try it. See new games!
Terran series ideas:-
1. Marauders & (cyclone/viking/marine) to GM (just something that shoots up to go with marauders against stalkers and cyclones it has potential)
2. Reaper(/hellion) to GM (prob quick series you could do seeing how far you could push it)
3. Cyclone Only (some interesting all ins and macro)
4. Ghost Mech to GM (wanna see ghosts go again)
5. dices or hat pull (put ideas into a hat and pull before the game starts, that is the build or use dice/dice generator)
6. Hard mode terran :- Cannot build orbitals everything else unrestricted.

Widow mines are probably my favorite terran unit to watch you use, so I'm very glad you started this series as well.
I yelled so loud at the end with the 16 probe hit that I scared my room mate and she dropped a full plate of food. xD
Not sure if you have already done it but stalker only would be cool to see. Insane micro outplay potential while still being pretty difficult if you end up in a late game.
@uThermal, I know it would add you a lot of work but if you really want us to watch the widowmines explosions without having to directly watch them yourself, you could add a split screen which you'll record on the replay afterwards, keep it up I love your content
I speculate that you held off on doing this series because beasty had done it but regardless its fantastic you are doing this series and I'm excited.

Big difference between this and Ling/Infester is that you have answers to both ground and flying units, where as Ling/Infester doesn't. IMO what ling/infester needs is a third unit that can handle air units.

Please do a tempest + X to GM series! Maybe one other unit, like zealot or sentry and tempest would be so fun to watch - feel like theres a lot of micro/ base sniping possibility with the tempest mobility buff.
The widow mine “carpet bombing” technique you did on one of your other recent videos was amazing and created a ton of chaos! I think doing random drops here and there is too easy to deal with, but mass WMs being dropped in a giant swath would be too much to deal with, even with a big army.

Love that terran series is back! I'm biased so I would prefer Terran and Zerg series and afterwards another Terran and a Protoss series. I think 3 series parallel would be confusing for you and make the videos very spread out.

Marc you should rename this to Gloomy to GM, raven and widow seems pair well to make a gloomy day
i love marauders and the only time they've been in a series is the bong cloud. please do a series with them! Maybe them and vikings or libs or something
Suggestion: Only tech lab units. It's means: barracks -> only marauders and ghosts. Factory-> only tanks and thors. Starport -> only ravens, banshees and BCs. Medivacs are exception.

How about a grinder league (MMR rank) between your various challenges? You choose a challenge account for an episode and play your best ladder grinder builds hunting for MMR. We see high level builds and find out which comps are really the most viable and which aren't

@Blank27 has a similar idea to me, I agree with adding a Protoss series as well, but my two cents is that you Should do something like war prism + dark Templar to stick to the two unit combo theme you have going
I am very curious about this series because raven/hellion to GM was hard already but now you don't even have the mineral dump unit. It will be interesting but I think once you get 5K it sounds hard.
And unpromising is absolutely a word. A good one even.
I like all the races.
However I often think the best are when you play Protos. And then Zerg, and last Terran. ( Sorry ) :p
That being said. The one series I really want to see is a Terran one.
The Valhalla one ( That is what I call it ) Only use Vikings and Thors, both can do air and ground. So I think it would be fun.
( As always medivacs would be allowed for Thor Drops ofc )

Protoss is most cool after zerg, but if its too intense, we can wait for you to finish those 2.
Always prefer the challenge to be a brutal unit-only version in phase 1, and only use the bonus units when it gets too hard. Partially so we aren't just bullying lower leagues for 5 episodes and partially because it's so friggin badass when you go all-out on the challenge. Makes the challenges stand out more from each other and creates more epic moments, too.
For the Protoss fans, you'll just have to do some 1vX challenges as Protoss, or 2v2(+) with you controlling your ally as well. 😛 a third challenge at once seems a bit much.
Ahah when Marc saw low saturation in the toss's main in the first game and thought it was a hidden base I was like no dude tosses just don't build probes at this level... but it was a hidden base after all, go figure :)

As a long time lowko watcher the biggest widow mine not I can remember is 13 drones I can't remember who it was. The Zerg saw the first mine burrow near the left gas and pulled all their drones to the right one and missed the second one come in while they were looking at the front
Was it limited to workers? I saw almost 30 zerglings die to a single widowmine in a heromarine stream a year or so ago

Man you should put one SCV on autorepair into that Medevac. I promise you'll be surprised how effective that is.
Can you do a defensive/aggressive mule game. Using them as shields, blocking escapes, stealing minerals, splash damage, etc.

This build gave me a win against a player of +3 tiers a while back...Very powerfull if you invest early in upgrades

I feel like any other strategy than heavy, heavy harassment and cheese builds will hit a hard wall on the border to GM. Prove me wrong Marc!
As for suggestions, I wanna see Swarm to GM. Rules: Random, only allowed T1 units, you cannot commit to a proper attack under 150 supply (minor harassment allowed). Medivacs, droperlords and Warp Prisms allowed without constraints. Maybe a single utility spellcaster as well.
I really like your content, but I would also like to see some other RTS from time. What is about WC3, AoE4, Beyond all Reason?
