I noticed that I got a mole five years ago. Living in the PNW means the ground never freezes, and he just winters over. He moves from the front to the side yard during the summer and fall. His hills appear and disappear, and squirrels love to hide peanuts in them. Local crows have learned to mine them for the peanuts. I stomp them back down, and he keeps moving. At one time in my life, I would have killed him. I would have looked at him as a bothersome annoyance and nothing more. Now, I see him as just another member of our animal ecosystem. From what I read, moles only live 6 years, so maybe he's a _"problem"_ that will self-terminate. I think if he does go, I will end up missing him. Lifes too short to sweat the smaller stuff. Life is too short for all of us. Stay safe.
I laughed so much at his "..teach 'em what squirrels are like." And then when he describe the mole and it not being it's fault. It was cute but the way he describes things are so funny!
Bill Murray's character would totally hire you for Caddyshack 3 (if they ever made that... Boy did the sequel get PANNED! It Jackie Mason in it instead of Rodney Dangerfield, basically... Or was a limp remake of the original... Though that scene with Randy Quaid freaking out and getting violent was not bad!)

He’s not got the right accent to pull it off. It would need to be a real upper class stereotypical accent, like what Americans think we all speak like. He’s got a West Country accent. Basically our deep south is the closest translation.

In my case the moles are causing my garden to subside down a rather steep hill and exposing my houses foundations. Also because they are burrowing under the foundations of my house it is causing my walls to crack. If I don't kill every last fucker soon they will cost me 10s of thousands to put it all right. So don't tell me they do no harm!
i like ratting with air rifle i got 80 in one night best way to get rid of rats is get a big rubbish bin, bury it so the top is just poking out a bit, half fill it with water and small bottle of cooking oil, don't fill near top, put wood planks on each side so there is a path, get a stainless steel roller the ones that look like long tubes (can be found on ebay for like £5-10 for one or two) mount it on each side of rubbish bin, put peanut butter on middle They will go on the roller to feed it will rotate and they fall in and drown and unable to get out because of the oil in there too, you can get hundreds in one go
