  • The Youth Climate Summit - the first UN climate summit for young people - will provide a platform for young leaders to showcase their solutions and meaningfully engage with decision-makers. This historic event will take place as part of a weekend of events leading up to the UN Secretary-General’s Climate Action Summit on 23 September. The Youth Climate Summit will feature a full-day programme bringing together young activists, innovators, entrepreneurs, and change-makers who are committed to addressing the global climate emergency. It will be action-oriented, intergenerational, and inclusive, with equal representation of young leaders from all walks of life.

    I'm just curious in all these hours (between this video and others) did anyone question the global free market economy, our monetary oriented society, infinite consumption paradigm or even capitalism at least?

    Globe need to awar under developed countries pertain to climate.
    According to me, it may be wrong, they don't know even about climate.

    That snowboarder is worried about her kids asking what is snow? Grand solar minimum will give them so much snow they will be hungry and cold and asking mom, what did your generation do giving us this ice age

      A grand solar minimum would not trigger another LIA; in fact, the maximum 0.3°C cooling would barely make a dent in the human-caused global warming over the next century, likely between 1 and 5°C, depending on how much we manage to reduce our fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
      DO YOUR RESEARCH

      S A I have done my research, and unlike the climate alarmists I look at the historical temp, water level, and average heat graphs that start from the late 1800’s that show that the average temps are decreasing, the oceans have consistently risen 2.8mm per year over the last 100 years. It’s unfortunate that all the climate alarmists models only look at measurements starting from the early 70’s and continue to have tunnel vision of a one sided view point. Science is about evaluation of different view points rather than a single rhetoric. Ye IPCC said in the 80’s that we had until 2000 when the oceans would displace millions of people from rising sea levels. Never happened and still not happening. Al Gore said that polar bears would be gone by now, but they are at record numbers. Vikings used to farm corn and barley in Greenland. The earth has not warmed. Do your research rather than relying on fake propaganda. The Chinese have the oldest records of annual weather dating back over 1000 years. The truth is out there, and you will learn if you read facts rather than listen to BS

      New Forest New Forest The planet's average surface temperature has risen about 1.62 degrees Fahrenheit (0.9 degrees Celsius) since the late 19th century, a change driven by increased carbon dioxide and other human-made emissions into the atmosphere. Global sea level rose about 8 inches in the last century. The rate in the last two decades, however, is nearly double that of the last century and is accelerating slightly every year
      Because of habitat loss caused by climate change, the polar bear is classified as a vulnerable species. For decades, large-scale hunting and habitat loss because of climate warming raised international concern for the future of the species, but populations rebounded after controls and quotas began to take effect, so you’re right, the polar bears are not extinct, but that is only because the measures taken to try to save them.

      S A 0.04% of our atmosphere is co2 and less than 3% of that is caused by human activity, and this is controlling the thermostat of our planet? The sun plays a much bigger part in our planets temperature, as it has done for millions of years. Tell us SA, what is the ideal average surface temperature for human existence?

    • @salbrecht7328
      @salbrecht7328 5 лет назад +1

      New Forest New Forest The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) says average surface temperatures on Earth rose 1.71 degrees Fahrenheit (0.95 degrees Celsius) between 1880 and 2016, and that change is accelerating FAST.
      the sun and the amount of solar radiation reaching Earth are very stable. Even during the Maunder and Dalton grand solar minima, global cooling was relatively small - smaller than the amount of global warming caused by human greenhouse gas emissions over the past century. The science is quite clear that the human influence on climate change has become bigger than the sun's.
