@@pamward8569lucky for you Pam its so simple. People can have a variety of experiences when giving birth. Some easy and some very difficult indeed up to and including (although thankfully uncommon) death. In hindsight, Mal had a difficult enough time with a long labour, a failed epidural and an episiotomy.

The nurse being so nice and calm through the whole delivery really makes a HUGE difference through the process. I was super grateful to have wonderful nurses with all of my kids. One that most especially stood out when I had my second child. She stayed with me by my side while I labored without any medication at all. It was tough but she helped me get through it so much and she was SUCH an amazing person! God bless her bc I wouldn’t have been able to go it on my own without the Lords help and her! ❤
I don’t think I’ve ever cried while watching someone else bring a baby into this world.. but hearing their excitement and how strong they were.. it made me cry. Especially when they revealed her name.. She’s absolutely beautiful and congratulations on your new baby. You’re going to be wonderful parents ❤️❤️
I’m crying toooooo!!!! The way Dad treats her and the baby just brings tears to my eyes. His immediate skin-to-skin and just all around positive attitude. Mal is so strong! I'm so glad Mal's mum is there. She was so upset when she thought she was only allowed to have one person in delivery. That's awesome and so happy y'all had nurses you were comfy with.
I have 3 babies in their early 20's and I tell you when I see birth stories, it feels like just yesterday I was giving birth to them. But, strangely, seeing Mel's mom comfort her during her labor, I realized I'm closer to that season of my life now. It's so true how we tend to forget the pain we endured while giving birth. God is good ❤🎉

I am so glad you talked about how the hormones, change how you remember the pain of labor and delivery. It is what makes each child's birth story unique and how that bond is created with baby and parents. ❤

I just want Mal to know my first was so traumatic! But it does not impend the same outcomes on the next because my second was 2 hours labor 5 minutes pushing after my traumatic first!

I have watched this video over and over ❤. I love how the shot before she pushed you could see how exhausted Mal was and the next shot she is holding Adalyn and completely content. Child birth is literally a marathon, but once the baby is born, you forget everything you just went through. It’s the most amazing experience in the world ❤

Having mom who's a veteran L&D nurse and that it's not like her granddaughter being born is how she went with no sleep for almost a day and a half. Definitely had to have been a major, major comfort having her there!

We did Lamaze child birth classes. See so many young people on youtube, not doing any classes at all. Do think it helped my husband and I immensely. Maybe look into it before your second child comes along. Even though you have been through it now, still recommend. We had couples in our class where it was their 2nd baby. Congratulations!

When the epidural failed it reminded me of my mom, She told me the nurse did the epidural wrong and I don’t think she got a another one.

seeing Mal before pushing hit me hard. I remember that feeling all too well. My bp was dropping crazy and so was baby’s heart rate. I felt like I was on a different planet in those last few moments. Don’t feel bad if you don’t want to do it again. It’s intense and scary sometimes. You got your little baby 🫶🏻

So beautiful! Takes me back to my first birth. So traumatic, but so worth it. And then I did it 4 more times! So true what Mal says, holding your newborn erases all the pain. I’m 46 now, so no more babies…I wish I’d had more in my 30s. Oh well…I’ll have to wait for grandkids!

Tbh, this might be a lil weird, but birthing videos are soooo cute! Because you get to see a new little life come into the world❤. Also congratulations on the new baby! She is adorable, also , during this, I learned abt some stuff, it’s really interesting! When I was born, I had to have lots of machines, and go in an box (not like an normal box), but it was an clear case for me I forgot the name of it but yea. Also, I was on the news! They announced my birth, I saw it while I was going though old pictures. I’m so glad of Mal❤ congratulations on being an dad, Cam. I hope you guys have an great life and grow big! I'm a Mum of four earthside and two in Heaven and now a grandma of five, but seeing this really took me back to the births of my babies and it seems like yesterday although my youngest just turned 30. You both did so well, and Cam was just amazing. 😁 Also, can we all take a moment to appreciate Mal's beautiful Momma, you look like sisters! My mother was with me for all my births and I never needed her more than those times. She's in Heaven now but was always there for all of us. God bless you all always. They didn’t let me eat anything at all I think it was 24 hours before my induction appointment, all the way till after I had the baby. I could only have crushed ice and water , that’s it. I can’t believe she could have coffee on the way there, eat while she was there, snack after snack. Very odd

This is the longest I’ve waited for a baby’s birth. Lol! Checking updates everyday. Congratulations Mal and Cam!🎉 She is perfect!
Congratulations on an absolutely precious little girl. NOT to be critical, but I encourage you guys to check the placement of the car seat buckle on her. The straps need to be all the way up on her shoulders next to her neck and the buckle clasp needs to be close to under her chin, securely on her sternum. The new parenting thing is HARD, but so rewarding. Again NOT being critical. There are just some things you don’t know until you learn them and just want her to stay safe. Congrats again!

New parent tip: please ensure your cute & chunky baby is strapped in. Across the chest & shoulders. The way I see baby strapped in she could fly upwards to the roof if Cam had to step on the breaks for an emergency.
I bet that the meds really didn't do much to induce. If they would've waited a bit they'd probably be at the exact same place laborwise, but bypassing all those extra hours of trying to medically induce.
