Oh my god. Of all freaking shifts it had to be this one. Yeah I was the detective. I had lost sight of Juan earlier and when he came back it had seemed like he was shooting in my direction so I got confused and shot him. What are the fucking odds lilten makes a video of my worst moment.
It's all good lol, this game is really chaotic and you shouldn't be blamed for getting confused since your enemies and allies were wearing the same armor.
I was the operator Echo in elite, commander didn't formulate a plan so everyone agreed to follow me and raid armory, but we split up like 10 seconds into the raid lol, thankfully it worked out.
I think once you play a lot, you realize how rinse and repeat nukies tend to be so it gets easier to predict things. Of course, it is a sandbox game and nothing is ever quite the same, but the overall goal is.
10:08 This game is side-splitting! I love this style of video. Should have given a SecHUD to the detective! 17:14 I still think that there should be greener text for a nukie to escape alive to train the next generation, because the syndicate is losing very valuable field experience there
@@snarst I'd rather pay one instructor than having to pay full training costs based on speculation and guesses ecery time (plus, the nuke team probably gets half beforehand, and half to next-of-kin if they win, so it's not much savings). You know, the Aurora4X kinda deal.
I think the game would be amazing to include a shift (round) replay function to see what the hell was going on. Certain jobs in the game are unable to see some of the shenanigans other players get up to. But this is a pretty demonstration of a Nukie round. Thanks Lilten!
You can, google, " ss14 round replay" and click the link, navigate to the round you want to watch, and download the zip. Then use the launcher to view the replay.
YO! I was the kobold at the start of the video and the one with the red E knife, our second kobold 12:34 actually got revived and almost revived me as well. It was really interesting for my first time playing Nukies
I was actually in this round. Managed to, though stupidness, get BOTH of the nukie monkey's cyber pens and managed to down both him and another nukie with them before getting shotgunned in the brain. You can see my body at 6:23.
Oh shit I was in this one, I was just an engineer and the entire time I was plugging spaced rooms, eventually nuke got armed so I knew we were fucked and a technical assistant I was helping on their first round got left. I had escaped on cargo shuttle with QM and 2 other people
This could've gone better for crew if 1. Security responded to nukies being called out sooner 2. Warden wasn't in a coma 3. Security flanked the nukies instead of trying to fight through armory 4. Det didn't kill HOS Overall though the nukies played fairly well, and these are all observations from an outside perspective.
or if a single one braindead cadet would flank nukies and attack them with stunbaton. Never underestimate cadets, they sometimes appear more robust than they seem to be
They should make the death nettles do more of a burn damage thing to keep them effective against armor, like in SS13, where they have the damage of an E-sword but require gloves to use.. not sure how it'd play out balance wise but, the crew seems a little helpless unfortunately.
This is cool and all but will never top the best flukie round i was part of. So the nukies started war and used about half of their tc on reinforcements, they parked the ship at evac and rushed out with chinas killing lots of people (i died from ensuing spacing since station didnt have enough suits) and all the dead people had nice surprise of maybe 10 (propably more) nukie reinforcements with webvests on stand by. It was fun rushing in while yelling war cries with fellow troops, sadly we had no evas and died due to spacing caused by the china. It was fun for once see nukies actually dock on the station and release waves of poorly equiped troops on the station. Sure, its cool to be elite operative and all that but nothing will beat the shear rush of raiding the station with whatever youre provided with alongside your fellow troops. We need some team deathmatch modes in ss14 or variant of nukies which is just assault team with preset weapons and more numbers.
The nukie/crew matchup often seems to favor crew, but if nukies are even a bit above average and go for armory it's nearly a guaranteed syndicate major. The strategy is simply too strong.
it favors crew? How? Two people with two pieces of c4 have wiped the entire station in this clip and their entire strategy was "bomb amrory grab gun shoot red people" and that's it. Nukie armor is beyond busted and the only crew weapon with any actual chance of killing a nukie is the shothun. Not to mention the self antaggers who disrupted sec to the point of paralyzing them, like in the clip here which is far from a rare occurence. The only REAL thing holding nukies back is dudes from eastern europe with dial up internet playing them on US servers.

its actually a really enjoyable for of SS14 content. this was a good idea to make.
very cool idea, you should do more of those, it's nice to get a broader perspective on group antag tactics/how crew can respond
