Although I'm not accustomed to hand-pressed paper; I've heard good things about archival pens. They're pH neutral, do not bleed ink, won't discolour or fade over time, and are not insanely expensive. My suggestion would be to ask around about whether archival pens would be suitable, and then trying it out on a test piece of scrap paper you get on a handmade trinket. I think they're also not going to bleed if you get the paper wet for whatever reason, but test it before ruining days of writing.

I feel that problem! I find that the system of organizing by topic works really well for me this far! You could also do topics for shelves and then left - books you already read and right - books you have not read yet

I also use fancy notebooks and use them casually. I find that when I treat fancy notebooks as book of shadows and then treat them like they are sacred I don't use them. When I treat them as though they are approachable I use it much more often. It helps too that when I pick out my notebooks I kinda sense what type of book the notebook wants to be, if the notebook is only interested in being fancy or for show I won't buy it. Unique and odd but its my theory.
no, it makes a lot of sense. I like to collect stationary and art products even knowing i likely wont use them all quickly and likely end up giving some away and every one of those hard resin/fake stone covered books never felt like they actually wanted to be written in (the covers make them really awkward to write on for one), and any notebooks which had a similar vibe when i held them went back on the shelf unless i intended to use it purely for decoration (id take the fake stone covers off and display them on photo stands).

I would like to support you through there, but it feels wrong if I know that it's putting huge amounts of stress on you. I would much prefer know you're happy and unecessary stress free!

This was a lovely vlog. Your black book looks gorgeous and no shame at all. My own books are far from pretty. The practical things and not made to be pretty. There messy. A mix of thoughts, reading, spell work, meditation, spiritual art, and visions. So their all over the place.
I don't think spells need to big or complex to get results. Most of my work is similar. Just a candle, a few herbs (if any), a sigil, chant, and my own energy. That's more than enough to get the job done.
As much as I love your shop, if closing it is what is right for you, DO IT! I think it's so important to put you first. So happy you were able to get an incredible break and realize what makes you happiest. ❤

Could you make a video about different plants since you have so much knowledge on them? That would be cool. I dont agree with witchcraft anymore because tho i find nothing wrong with educating oneself i think it keeps people isolated and from experiencing a natural life. Sometimes too much information is harmful but we could all use knowledge on plants 😅
That view is very interesting to me. For so many people a huge part, maybe even an integral part of witchcraft is living in sync and connected with nature. How come you feel like witchcraft separates us from natural life?

Oh yeah I also really hope it’ll work out! But my thought is… in the worst case I’ll just keep the shop open and only ship orders and don’t work on anything new 🤣🤣 and then if I have the spoons to work on new products I’ll do it again

I couldn’t find a video where you talked about this so I apologize if you’ve already spoken on it.
I’m very interested in why you don’t work with crystals anymore. I’ve been questioning why I use them and I’d like your perspective as a fellow animist.
Personally I just don’t feel drawn to it anymore. It may be because I work more and more in line with pre Christian Scandinavian practices as well as Scandinavian Folk Magic… maybe that’s the underlying cause, but even in Trolldom crystals are used. Just differently than nowadays. All of these 10 million crystals and applications for them… people didn’t know them, it’s a pretty modern thing. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t work, but it’s possible that my subconscious has signed off of that practice now 😅 I still like giving crystals as offerings sometimes (but then it’s usually simple ones like Amber (not even a crystal) or clear quartz)… I also still have them around as decor. But really working with them? Not really…

That’s my plan! My friends always have first dibs though, so I hosted a big fleamarket yesterday and everyone went home with a big bag of books. There’s not a lot left, but the rest will hit the shop ☺️

You have every right to use the tools that feel good to you, because witchcraft is done better when you feel good! Some witches tell me i'm not a real witch because i'm t😮o colorful. Let me tell you my view on me. I carry enough darkness in my soul to blackout the entire universe, but my heart is all love and light. What do you get when those two clash? Exactly an explosion of color! So that is who i am an explosion of color... doesn't make me less of a witch, in fact all the best witches are both darkness and light, because nature is both!
And besides i was born a witch, my grandmother was a witch, her mother and grandmother were and she told me many of my ancestors were witches... So according to them i should ignore my legacy because i am who i am. Life made me this way, why should i have to change? To make them feel better? Who made them the boss of the witches? We can do as we please... and be whoever we want to be!
I'm different deal with it, i won't be shamed out of my inherited practise...

Ohh the dreaded going through all books giving away keeping them day I have many books and I go through them once in a while and I have to be a little brutal mentally with myself I love books especially the older real hard cover books but parting with books is sometimes like parting from a friend but then that metaphoric friend could help someone else at least this is what I do my best to believe.
Myself if I could, I would have rooms full of hard cover books like a library I kind of wanted to be a librarian the quiet in those places all of that knowledge the smells textures both physical and partly metaphysical. The feelings and senses of the past.
I say this to many people including Content creators that I follow on RUclips always go go go is not good its ok for say a few weeks maybe a month anything longer starts to effect you starts in minor ways but over time can create having turn your life int oa tower moment .
Myself I work 4 days a week as security and asset protection I work on average 5 hours a night on those work days this helps me allot because then I have 3 days off the 1st day off is to figure out what I want\ need to do , the next two days are the days to get it done, even for myself it can be hard because other things come in, where I don't have time for myself I don't have any real friends ,dont hang around with people so that part makes things much simpler but with a parent that is that quickly approaching 80 , I live closest and am the eldest between my sis and myself also much more calm I have to help my mother out .
Back on topic yes time for self then time for friends is a must, but the self time should always be priority over anything else , it took me 4 decades to realize this always helping everyone always busy rarely having me time and when I did, I was rushed or I didnt really know what to do with me time lol I am referring to your trip and the realizations of some things ;)
