Not trying to complain, but when I did this, the strawberry caused a lot of mold. I think you should sprinkle cinnamon on it before putting soil on it.
it only works with organic strawberries. The regular ones you buy at the store are full of chemicals and pesticides. you will be really lucky if you get any that aren't organic to grow.
It works with normal strawberries. Place the strawberry slice onto paper towel until it's dried and gently brush the seeds off. (Dried strawberry smells AMAZING btw) Place the seeds on top of soil it needs light to germinate, moisten and cover with plastic wrap/cup. Keep moist and warm. It will take a while to germinate I think mine took like 3 weeks or more so start indoors if it's too cold outside. Granted your strawberries will be very different to the og strawberry but that's fine. Bonus points you can harvest the leafs, clean them, leave on the counter to wilt(couple hours). Roll them between your clean hands and shove them in a jar and leave it for a day(this is oxidation which is how black tea is made), dry them out and you have strawberry leaf tea that tastes pretty okay. You can also use fresh leaves but they taste more grassy.
Although I'm sure this could work in very fortunate scenarios, this video is BS clickbait. Those strawberry plants he's showing are bare root bought from a store which are probably propagated from runners at a nursery and not seeds. It's incredibly difficult to grow strawberries from seed and usually not worth it.
Just a warning for anyone wanting to do this, these seedlings take 1-6 weeks to sprout. Definitely something you might wanna plant inside before the season starts.
@@mrguy127I’d hope you’re in a hot country, winter is months away. But then again I live in Canada. Or you might be in the southern hemisphere, I don’t know,

Use organic strawberries! Regular, commercial-grade strawberries have tons of pesticides and horomones on them to prevent them from spoiling and theyll rot before the seeds sprout. Itll take about 3 weeks to see any seedlings. Keep it moist but not too wet
@@gregorysantana7000I watched another short about this and it said it could take up to 6 weeks. It's strawberry season here and I plan on trying this.
Love growing strawberries we put ours in hanging pots to stop the slugs and snails getting at them right now we have 6 fully flowering strawberry pots 🍓
@@Vixinaful they all took about a year to fully grow but most started flowering the same year as they were planted (around 4 to 6 months later in mid spring to early summer)
Instead of putting the strawberry seed immediately put them on a piece of napkin and let them dry out on the sun for 2 to 3 days then you gently caress the strawberry until all the seeds, falloff and plant them
I bought 2 strawberry plants when I was a kid and they grew all over and produced so many strawberries! This is a much better idea and gets the same results. He is amazing!!
My mom says that she remembers that you are danish for some reason. When I ask her “why?” She just says “I don’t know..”. And now I’m confused- are you danish?
The white part of a strawberry that’s where the leaves come out, so you do not want to cover that you want to cover the roots and barely cover the top or just let it be at the same height as the soil
If anyone is contemplating actually growing strawberries, they need A LOT OF SPACE because the plants branch out into new plants and then those branch out too.
Well..Looks like I'll be having strawberries this summer. I'll now have tomatoes, garlic, paprikas, orange bell peppers, honey melons, avocados, two mango trees, dates and now strawberries aswell. I love this guy.
Make sure the garlic from the grocery store is the variety that grows best for your climate. You can still grow it but it may not do the best. Getting garlic for your climate is an amazing investment and if you leave some in the ground it'll make baby garlics and you'll never get ride of them.

i picked so many strawberries this year in my garden i could not eat them all or give them away faster then i could harvest them it was mad this year. love from Uk south.
I’m not sure if it matters because if you think of the natural cycle of the plant - it will drop to the ground, rot, spread it’s seeds and they will grow into a new plant. I could be wrong but it seems to me like it will still work if it get moldy as long as the seeds make contact with the soil.
Commercial strawberries use pesticides and inhibiting horomones to prevent spoilage, so the fruit will rot before the seeds sprout. Use organic strawberries and keep the soil moist but not soggy. Sprinkling cinnamon can also help prevent mold from growing
