- Join me and the fam as we took a trip to London for the Christmas event - Croydon Winter Festival, Fun rides, Ice Skating, Santas Grotto, food stalls and bar.
The event is on Mitcham Common and is on until the 6th of January, £9.99 for 4 hours unlimited riding.

Always nice to see David and fam get a chance to ride during the slower season. Oh that was a very cool coaster. Too often it's either a juvenile size only, the bigger ones are so much rarer. Very glad David got a chance to ride it and to show us. BTW, they have something called camera muffs, these fuzzy things that help protect against wind noise. I've seen a few vloggers use them, not that his vid suffered in any way by wind noise. Just something to maybe think about. Anyway, I like Orbiters, but funny enough I can't do Techno Power/Remix rides ie., floorless Oribiters. I get dizzy with those.
It's actually kinda cool that David was out of practice. Then you really feel the forces that you might otherwise have gotten used to. Loved the face cam on the Ranger. That was fun. It's been ages since I've been on one like that. Though I went on an Eyerly Loop O Plane a few months ago, sort of the precursor to the Ranger. That ride cycle went on for so long, We just chatted with the people in the other passenger carriage while upside down. "This is our life now" It was pretty fun though close to being too long of a cycle. I've actually found the Ali Baba rides not as intense at least in the US. They are converted Inverter rides here. Those rides had many issues, thus the conversion.
Yeah, it was a shame that it was a little empty. I love the idea of a holiday fun fair like the last vid I remember going to Oktoberfest. One night it was cold and rainy, yet absolutely rammed as you might say. Everyone huddling together in the beer gardens or riding rides. I might have been enjoying an adult beverage while watching this vid and decorating an xmas tree.As always love the enthusiasm, David is truly the kind of person you would want to show you around fun fairs and theme parks with his eye for details.

I know you will get into the swing of things.It's obvious how much you like them. I try to get on rides that intimidate me, to get the credit. Oy vey, the Fabbri MegaDrop so killed me, I hate drop rides so much, lol. And I went on a super tall Starflyer and just jabbered away to my German ride companion cause I was so nervous, well it was Oktoberfest and a few strong beers got me through that, lol. David, your enthusiasm, truly makes these vids no matter if you know the back ground of the ride. Believe that. I am such a nerd for these things. I can watch them set up a carnival for hours and be very happy.

@@SlothyVlogs Exactly. You got this. That wait until you drop is so nerve racking. That is what gets me. I've been on one of those bungee ejection seat things and I was okay however intense it was. Drops, oy vey. I KNOW you will succeed because you really want to. My local big theme park, Six Flags Magic Mountain has a 400 foot drop tower I Will ride it, even if it scares me so much. I forced myself on the Megadrop. Hated it, but happy I did it., to get it over with. Tried it 3 times in a row via wristband. I've been waiting until my little cousin was ready to try the big coasters out to go to that park again. He is now ready and unfortunately loves drop rides. So I will have to ride it next year. Sigh. lol. Stiff drink I think will be needed just before. If I see you do it, then yeah, I know I can as well. It helps having someone there to share the fear. So very glad you are getting to go to Wonderland. One Day I will go.
That skymaster project one, not seen one of those for years. Used to be bigger ones on the circuit and at seaside parks. Reasonable price and good variety. Looked quiet though. Great vlog as usual, appreciate the Dec effort to seek out fairs Dave!

The fact that you consider the Sky Master as an intense ride......... wish that you'd come down to Melbourne during September and ride the Hangover. It's the same style ride, but you're suspended instead of being in a enclosed gondola ;)

There is more than one sky master at funlands funfair in Devon
In my town when a fair comes we have 2 different one's and they are funlands and Rowland funfairs. And the funlands fair has a sky master but a bit smaller so there is 2 country of I know of and we get a rock o plane to with funlands too

Another excellent Vlog mate pity about the weather not sure if people want this sort of thing in a field at this time of year had one near us last year and sadly it failed badly. But thanks again mate keeps the spirits up

Sky master, I will never ever go on that. Going upside down is my worst nightmare on rides. Bailey is so brave, my kids would just be like nope haha

We used to have one of the project X up in Scotland called kamikaze and it was a permanent ride at strathclyde park, and that was until M&ds took over

Been to this fair myself its pretty good but shame their orbitor is abit slow the billy davis orbitor is alot faster and better. Although this orbitor isnt as slow as the southend orbitor tho tbf
Hey an idea for next year is to come to cranleigh bonfire and its a full bensons one with some machines you haven't done apart from the waltzer plus they go faster than normal

Used to love going on the sky master at the Newbury fair, it had the writing “skymaster” on the ride, would there be more than one in the UK? 🇬🇧
i honestly think Stoke was the better organised of the two it had more of a warm Christmas feel like a very small Hyde Park where as the Croydon one sent more a fair in a field with a not good attempt at laying floor but hey they tried and i really enjoyed the blog

The sky master is the only 1 left in the UK as tommy Boswell sold his 5 years ago I use to travel with Tommy boswell and his sky master

Damn i don 't like the rain. The wristband deal on that fair is a good deal. Unfortunately their is not such a system on fairs in the Netherlands.
