Aly performs more serious while aj is more free. It also helps that the latter has the solo harmony so she can be more expressive and high energy. Aly has to keep the lead tone.
i’m pretty sure the original song was from Aly that’s why she sang both choruses. it was about her breakup with Joe Jonas so she probably feels the lyrics more than AJ does.

The concept of redoing this song now that they're older sounds like something that wouldn't make sense- or shouldn't, but holy damn is this insanely great. Them being kids when first seeing this, me being a kid growing up singing this, to them as adults rocking the shit out of this, and me being adult recognizing how much they and we all have grown, ugh I love this. There is such a badass vibe and I wouldn't expect the lyrics to still make so much sense, but actually, how do they hit harder now, haha. My sister and I were bribed into going to a Hannah Montana concert by my moms friend who was going on a date with this guy who was taking his daughter of roughly the same age to see her. We got there, found out the daughter didn't like Hannah Montana and only went because she was told we liked her. We had pretty good seats so we all went along with their shenanigans as they both pretended to know us kids with getting things they thought we liked. Lol, anyways, we heard that at the Hannah Montana concerts, the Jonas Brothers were guest playing with her so we were waiting for them but then they announced Aly and Aj will be performing. At first, we were a little disappointed but once they played this song first, omg, we fan girled the rest of the concert. If it wasn't for them, all 3 of us would have had an ok experience watching someone we weren't into as our first concert experience. Thank you Aly and Aj!
