Chilly Gonzales' Solo Piano albums for me. But this one is a new adventure I've used for work over the past 3 years. Glad to hear others feel the same about it 😌
That's awesome, that's how I felt about Emancipator. They're still my favorite band, I just have to give them space if I revisit them because it can bring up memories of my Ex. Jam on friend, stay cool
This is the first album my ex wife and I bought together for our record collection, anytime I'm missing her I put this on and drift away to the good memories I had with her. I miss it dearly.
Sorry for your loss. I am going through some tough times with my wife currently and on Thursday I was listening to SOMA FM and Spectre came on. It was the first time in weeks that I felt hopeful.
My wife is about to have a crainiotomy on wednesday. To relieve stress of what is possibly to come. I am, once again, listening to this and doing some stretching. Enjoy these tunes while you can guys, we are not guaranteed a tomorrow and this is one of the many luxuries life has to offer.
I'm hearing this for the first time and I'm in total awe. It's like the soundtrack to an old summer road trip with a lost lover.. The music is so heavenly with a sublime ambience plus melodic undercurrents like bittersweet memories. I'm expecting it to rain tears any moment.
One of my favourite albums. Instantly transports me back to a different time in my life... not a better one necessarily, but one I will always reminisce on...
I found the song Awake back in early middle school but I had forgotten the song name and the artist overtime but I remembered the album cover. I am now graduated from high school and reminiscing on the old days and wanted to find old music I use to listen to so my search began for this song. I just spent so long searching on RUclips everywhere for this song but I could not find it. I went to google and searched pastel with a sun album cover and the album cover appeared. I could not be more satisfied listening to it again. I am at peace :)
That is something I would do!!! There is totally something about this album cover that sticks with you! I was looking for "Awake" too, had this image in my head & sifted through music by electronic artists online looking for it. 🤩
I love this song so much!!!! It makes me feel so joyful and free!!! Love, Love, Love to dance with it!!!! I sometimes listen to it over and over and over again!!! Love this band, they are truly beyond amazing and beautiful 😍 ❤!!!!!!!
This album was my jam in 2017. I just listened to it and takes me back completely. Amazing how music can capture time and emotions. Oddly got a little weepy. It's good music 🥲
I get it! I tear up whenever I hear a few nostalgic songs from my childhood when life was great & my parents were alive - "Red Red Wine" gets me every time.
This album has changed my life forever. I was motivated to finally begin drumming. The KEXP live session is one of my favorite videos to refer to when I need inspiration. Rory and all the guys are Musical Magicians of sound and imagery. Thank you Tycho. (BTW Boards of Canada was my first love in this genre and is STILL very special to me).
Boards of Canada can sound like a walk in a northwest forest... or like you've walked outside in time to see a zombie plague has decimated nearly all life around you. They're great lol And so is Disasterpiece, the group who did the soundtrack for It Follows.
Jesus, I'm actually bawling my eyes out. When I was around 9-10 I saw you guys and sts9 at the summer meltdown. I was young enough to where I was blissfully ignorant and didn't think much of it. 11:07 is that part I remember the most. I was playing with some toy or something and that lead sound is forever in my mind. I'm 16 now, and Everytime I'm in a nostalgic mood, this makes me cry. So much has changed. I wish all of you the best. Stay positive and remember that your are loved.
Yes indeed, so much has changed , you are still young and let me tell you : we never stop learning... (dont wait till your 40 to do what you should have done in your 20s!! ) I can relate to your comment , this is very nostalgic now, I wish I could go back to when in first heard this . Srry to be that person giving advice ( I never thought I'd be doing such things ) please listen: 1. pay attention to the advice your parents or mentors or elders give you, they mean well. 2. Whatever it is you want to achieve, start preparing now!! And in your twenties you shape and mold your life for as time goes on we harden like clay. If I could have many wishes 1 would be to go back to my 20s... if only I would have only known then how precious that time is. 3. If you want family and kids, prepare a bit but don't wait too long get married and have kids, do it before you are 30 so your kids can have you around longer. If you want to go to college, go at it 100% if you are interested in a trade, learn all the skills and master it 4. EXERCISE 5. Drink water. Well my real point is : whatever you want to do, do it in your 20s!! ✌, dont know why I'm telling you this... maybe its regret on my part, and maybe I'm also talking to myself in a way... I have no wife, no kids, no real career, and now I find myself wishing i can go back and actually live my life... we all have a purpose in life, and I question mine... but one thing I do know : your 20s are a gift. Oh! And always always always listen to music that you love. Surround yourself with music.
This comment section is such a melting pot of youth, matured, reminiscers, achievers, those with regret, but all can understand the impact music like this has on their lives. I can say that I am in my 30’s with some regret but I do in fact have children and a wife and though you may not, your advice is very true. I miss my youth and think of all I should have done. I think of all those I’ve lost and things I’ve loved and wish I could have back. One thing that always comes to the forefront is your lifelong friends who you can’t ever replace. The ones you make as kids and grow together. They know you and stuck with you even before you’ve met a spouse or has children. The love of friendship is one of the greatest joys of life.

This music saved me when I felt lost. Just now revisited it when my baby started having crying episodes and the baby songs were no help, he loves this. I can’t wait to play this for him all the time. I hope I can raise him to feel that life is beautiful and precious like the way this music makes me feel. Now I am the one crying typing this, it makes me feel like I wasted so much time feeling negative or sad or worried about others. My baby is only one month and I’ve been distressed about the father, and I’m realizing now that he will never stand a chance on our wavelength and he doesn’t deserve my energy, our energy. I made this soul inside my body while he ran away and is using someone else just like he used me. I like to think he never had a soul, how can someone drown into someone just to drain them of all they got, lie, manipulate and leave with a piece of them and leave them hopeless without answers and repeat the cycle. Only this time, his plans were flawed, the universe called him to me to make my pathway to my ultimate form, motherhood. He left me with a piece of him instead. My world, my son. No one has ever put it to words in such a perfect way.
When I was in university I listened to Tycho so many times to stop myself from mastrubating.
If only these artists knew what they got us through with their music.
Thats what comments will do
They know. Their music helped them get through it, too.
Especially my discovery of them through a dear facebook friend that works in advanced technology who advised me to retire a little bit
Tycho is truly a genius, never have I binged entire albums for years without getting bored except for his creations.
I started listening to Tycho back in March 2020. Their music helped me during the lockdown. My dog and cat too.

The last wall. Trade.

Try listening at 1.25x speed.... completely changed it for me... the slightly higher tempo...I struggle to go back to the original tempo
Oh man this is cool
Buen viaje, si es que llegaste aquí para tener un buen viaje a otro planeta🤙
I really don't like Nickelback but this song is nostalgic as hell.
