Even though I don't have ratchets as nice as yours (mostly Standly, Tekton and Gearwrench), I often polish my ratchets and I'm proud when looking at them. BUT! But when I look at your collection, I see the polish on my ratchets isn't good enough! LOL. Nice collection mate.
Awesome collection of ratchets my friend. I wish I had one of them. A small one would do. Since I am not a mechanic nor I work on vehicles. I don't have that many tools, but I need a small ratchet here and there but I bought a couple of them and they got busted my my son. Like always, kids never replace anything they brake or loose or lend with permission. But still, one would do just find. I very pleased with your success and the fact you have all these wonderful tools. Thank you for sharing my friend. Take care and be safe out there from this decease going around ok.
I love my snap on ratchets, however I refuse to have any without the USA stamp on them. Just my personal preference, although I’ve heard some people say the ones without are made overseas
I just started in this industry and gave mainly gearwrench ratchets but my mentor has all snap on and his ratchets feel smooth, way smoother then my gearwrench 120xp 😂
Nice ratchets, I'd like to have the long handled 1/4 inch ratchet eventually. I'm an avionics tech and 1/4 inch stuff is what I use the most (as well as what is most popular in aviation in general, I think).
Snap-on makes a great ratchet. I'm blessed to even have acquired such tools. I won't say all of their tools are leaps and bounds ahead of other companies but I will put ratchets in that category. Thanks for keeping those birds airborne. Take care.
Cool video and insight... question on the 3/8 bent flex headFBF80 / FBF80A can the handle be turned over for the angle to face the opposite direction ?If so would you make a short video demonstrating this ?
James Watkins Maybe. The ratchet head has asymmetric machining (one side has a circular relief for the encapsulated split washer; the other plain. I don't see why not at first thought. Thanks, I will make a video to address this. Best regards.
I have a F80 3/8ths with no USA on it at all and the font has the lower case a that looks like an o. The font is the same as your spare red handle. Would you know the date of it by chance?
Hey Pae, pardon me in advance if I am misinterpreting your question. If the date code stamp looks like a perfect circle "o" it's probably a tool made in 2010. Based on the lack of a USA stamp on the handle. Furthermore, I am going to take a wild guess and say (assuming it hasn't been rebuilt) that the two screws holding the faceplate are of a torx only design -- in contrast to the dual-pattern torx & flathead slotted screws found on the newer ones. Please let me know hehe. Merry Christmas to you!
@@YungJosh50 You nailed it. The handle has an “o” next to F80 and the screw are torx with no slot. So it’s 2010 I take it. Does the font, (same as your spare red handle in this video) match up as authentic for 2010? Have not opened it yet to see further detail.
@@YungJosh50 Also I have a Snap On 1/4” 70B. It’s different. It has the on off switch on the bottom next to the anvil and the plate is on top. Have you seen these before? Could it be a modified quick release or where these standard? When where these made?
@@paedahe4975 Hey Pae, in my opinion -- based on my experiences, the Snap-on logo was stamped into the acetate "hard" handles (let's say 2011, 2012-ish and older) versus the newer ones 2016+ which have a bolder "Snap-on" (print perhaps) logo. I can not stress enough that these years I stated above are just my best guess, based on what I have seen.
arvin mendoza Don't even bother with the non locking flex head, because with the locking version the lock button has the ability to be pulled back and to the side slightly, taking the lock grooves out of alignment with the head and allowing it to flex freely like the non locking version.
Yes Sir. The jobs I worked at provided the hand tools. Most of these are just show-queens (for now). I aim to keep them nice (for selling, or trading) until I settle into a total set I want. I do have a beater 1/4" and 3/8" that I use and abuse. Thanks for watching.
Two years almost doesn't even count. You should have to turn this stuff back in or sell it because let's be honest, you're not really worthy of these fine tools at your age, if you're not going to be a tech.
GNX157 I hope you’re kidding. They’re his tools, his money, etc. He could buy 20k in tools, never wrench a day, and be a firefighter. Who gives a shit? His life, his money. Let him be.
It's nice to see someone taking such good care of their tools. Thank you for the video.
How many times daily you polish those tools! 😂😂
Sweet layout! I just got my first snap-on ratchets myself and they feel extremely well built.

Thank you Sir.

Good tips & facts are provided on these Snap-On designs.
Very nice collection you have there
Did you realize some of your beloved snap on ratchets do not say USA on them do you know why ? I do so sad
Bro they literally say USA on the handle LOL.
I just started in this industry and gave mainly gearwrench ratchets but my mentor has all snap on and his ratchets feel smooth, way smoother then my gearwrench 120xp 😂
Very nice tools sir.
The reason the "snap on" on the ratchet looks deeper now is because they now actually machine the lettering into the head it used to just be stamped
Jason Waldon That explains it. I prefer the deeper machined look. Glad for the knowledge, thanks for the input.
Sweet collection!
I want some of that. I started working as a mechanic
You realize you have issues with ratchets right?
Besafe it' is definitely contagious
They are too nice. Needs more scratches for my liking.
Haha. Thank you. I have "beater" ones that I actually use. I admit that it's stupid and excessive. They do look nice with some use.
Assuming the ones lacking USA stamp are made overseas?
Snap On makes the best ratchets, no doubt.

you sound like a serial killer doing a review on fine ratchets.... lmao kinda creeped me out but hey nice tools bud!
nice collection
my94silva1 Thank you. I am blessed even to have the opportunity to have these.

How do you like that thllf72 with the 3/8 head. I'm thinking of making one like that as a daily driver
Hey do you like locking flexhead?

first thing you should do is throw them on the floor
