The switching app doesn't work anymore. I could probably buy a cable without a microphone pin but it's stupid that there is no software solution for this. On PC you can always just pick your input device
I'm sorry this was not helpful at all. My phone doesn't switch to earphone mic and keeps using phone microphone during whatsapp voice notes and recording videos and YES my earphones have a mic. I saw this feature in settings where we can toggle between phone mic and earphone mic but unfortunately have not been able to find this feature again. I was hoping you'd mention that and how to access this setting but instead you kept beating about the bush as to how to check for a mic on your earphones.
@@Rayenn_19 bro i think i just found a way!! I had an earphone with 3 rings. The last ring is of mic so What i did was i didn't put the earphone jack all the way up. I reached to the 3 ring and lightly touched it. Then i tried to record audio it worked!!!. You try if its works for you or not
One thing i noticed was the audio that i recorded was great but when i open yt then the yt audio was downgraded. And then i put the jack all the way up the audio was back to good but the mic stopped working.
