Very helpful video, man. I haven't really been using any of these midi insert plugins built into Cubase much over all the years I have been using Cubase. The step designer is a way better workflow than a lot of other ways of doing this. Instant creativity over getting bogged down in BS.
Bro I watched most of your tutorials, and in those goa series I was expecting some pad sounds. In goa trance very often is used gated pads and I didn't found any advise on them in your tutorials. Maybe if you can show how to make pads with advanced gate effect patterns what vary and changes giving nice rhythm to track. In my opinion pads is most difficult part in track creation.
Awesome series so far! I liked that you made a worse version of that melody by playing around later, shows you are human like the rest of us haha. Thanks so much man please keep going with the goa series! :)
The efx that you added: are they on the channel ikself or did you use an return channel? Asking because of the dry/wet ratio on the delay. Thx for the all the videos you put out! Working with hardware myself and giving goa trance a shot and I found many usefill tips in your video's! Thank you very much! ^^
Hey awesome Goa trance series!! Can you go a little more into details how to make a Goa trance kick and bass? I don't have the plugins you used, so I couldn't really recreate it yet. I had a lot of fun with SH-101 though! Thank you for this free plugin tip! I love it! I also use fruity loops so I sometimes have a hard time to translate what you did into fruity.
I haven't used logic in a while, but I remember the built in stuff had sequencers which you could route outside of the plugin to other MIDI channels? or am I wrong haha
Hey Dash, your video has given me new things to think about. Thank you for being so informative and humble in your approach to music and sharing your knowledge. Im really excited to apply these ideas to the track I'm working on right now. I was also wondering, what mic and camera you use to record your videos. I am about to start making videos and have been doing lots of research, but I'm keen to hear others' experiences. Cheers! And keep making awesome videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks man, I'm glad to inspire! I'm using Logitech C922, I think I may have mentioned before it was a C920 but I double checked because I wanted to invest in another one and infact it was a c922, it was a bit cheaper and just as good it seems :) I'm using an sE electronics X1 but I got this one to make vocal/musical recordings if I need, I'm setting up a studio for my girlfriend to do videos and I've been testing her Samson C01USB - it's super affordable and actually not bad for speech stuff
Thanks! You can get similar effects with a lot of flangers, maybe even the built in one in your DAW, but Serum's one has that extra "bite" when the feedback is high :)
@@DashGlitch Flanger shopping isn't something I've ever taken the time to do tbh, but it's nice to see some bloody subtlety on the production side of things for once.
I have Serum, but have no clue about how to download the (standalone?) effect engine you are talking about. Anyway, thank you for a great tutorial as always :)
Hello my friend thanks for all you do for us psytrance musicien ! I juste would like to know if it’s possible on a future to mâke à vidéo on the style of DJ ANTRIX ?! Thanks my friend
@@DashGlitch Oh, sorry :) The music's awesome, but can you consider wrapping bundling tracks up in a mini-album or an EP? Since I've stopped buying CDs 3 years ago (no place to keep 1k+ plastic boxes :D) almost 100% of my purchases is on Bandcamp, but I refuse to get single tracks (or even 2-track singles) because they clutter the collection to much and with almost 300 releases already I'd prefer to be organised. And I don't mind paying for the music I like :)
Dash, i love your Goa series! Keep em comming!
Thank you! Most definitely, we're taking a break from this series for a few weeks, then coming back ;)
Flanger + cutoff + delay -- what a good idea! Only thing i miss in your videos is you headbanging to your music :)

Thanks and same to you! Make it a productive one :)
I was glued to the screen throughout. Thank you! (:

Nice. Bitwig has a couple of step sequencers, but I’m working in Logic Pro again, now, so I’ll see if I can remember if it has a step sequencer

@@DashGlitch Great! Thanks for all the info mate. Much appreciated!
This bass arp remind me Anne Clarke - our darkness (total eclipse rmx)
That recorder button on StepDesigner...Daaammmm. How come I missed it. Cheers
That flanger was very nice

Blue Arp is another great FREE Arp VST
What do you guys think of the Roland Gaia sh-01 for psytrance? A good choice?

Do you have your music on Bandcamp, please?
I actually do, I should probably put links in my videos right 😂
It's not in this Goa-style, i'm still experimenting here, I am planning on putting something together tho :)

@@Artek604 I've just replied with a link above, thanks for the support, you can grab the music free if you'd like :)
