Did You Know In THE BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA…

- During the scene where Leslie tells Jess about Janice’s home life, they walk to a swing by a tree house. While walking, you can notice Jess has a slight limp. This is actually because Josh Hutcherson developed stress fractures in his back from him playing too many sports and being too overactive during filming. Also, shooting was done in sequence, so for Josh Hutcherson to understand just how magical things his character was looking at, they created a scale from 1 to 10. They rated Jess’ view from the treetops at a level 10. On top of that, the five stages of grief are a key factor throughout the film, and they used that to help Josh focus his performance during later parts.

I remember feeling a genuine heartbreak when I watched this movie when I was young, just like Jess I refused to believe that Leslie died when his Dad told him what happened.
I watched it for first time today, I felt the same way, I was refused to believe that Leslie died.
When you love someone it’s like that I’ve lost my girlfriend of 12 years and my brain didn’t want to believe that the most important person in my life is gone it was honestly the worse pain I’ve ever experienced and I’ve been in a car wreak
@SuperZombiepimp I'm sorry man. I hope you are able to find solace in your life
Same I also used to have a crush on her
That is first actually insightful video from you guys.
The Greatest Movie Ever Made. I grew up with the book, but the film is just MAGICAL. But I must stop it during the rain scene when Leslie sweetly waves goodbye to Jesse. After that, it's all LDD (Leslie Doesn't Die) fanfiction to complete the story...
...the story of the King and Queen growing up, falling in love, getting married, and having a family, that is!
I've recently just watched Terabithia for the first time. Honestly surprising how a "kids" fantasy movie skyrockets to be one of my favorite movies. I'm usually a sci-fi guy. But this movie just . . . It was wholesome. Cried twice thinking about Leslie's death afterwards and got misty eyed every night (when my mind is free and not focused on my usual work) for more than a week. Very funny how this movie captured my emotions despite being seventeen 💀. Now I'm reading all the good terabithia fan fiction I can find on sites like Wattpad. Honestly might write one myself.
❤ I love this!!!!😊
@@_Mayonaka. It is TRULY amazing, isn't it?❤ Go and write a fanfic... we could always use MORE of them🎉 Thanks my fellow Terabithian!

We just watched this with the kids a few nights ago. The kids were crying, it was the first emotional movie they watched and they didn’t really know how to handle that. It’s such a good movie.

Whoever was in charge of MWR (moral welfare & recreation) at Camp
Warhorse (Baqouba, Iraq) in 2007 should be fired. They showed THIS MOVIE
to already traumatized soldiers during an active military conflict.
What the heck were they thinking?
My brain when I realize that not only he played a guy in the hunger games and the five nights at Freddy’s movie. He played in this to.😮

Good movie. It was a little creepy when the teacher called Jesse to privately take him on a day trip. I was getting teacher/student affair vibes. 🤢
Do you even a more violet beauregarde like that
The thumbnail 😭😭
the best Terabithia
Why Jess and Leslie did not end up together. Why Leslie had to die😢😢😢
I'm torn on whether movies like this are good for kids or not (or anyone for that matter). On the one hand, it does show that in life, bad things can happen...REALLY bad things. It makes you think on a more profound level. On the other hand, given the fact that sad things like this DO happen in real life, do we really need to compound that misery by making up and presenting fantasy deaths like this one? I'm not so sure. I remember a girl I rode the bus with and went to school with. We talked often and were in band together. She was hit by a car while crossing a major road and killed our senior year. Nah, I'll take a movie about a happy thing any time over this reminder of bad things.
"shooting was NOT done in sequence" as it says on the idmb trivia from where you took this info
Hes my childhood crush but realized hes peeta on hunger games maybe he's old now and I'm still teenager

Leslie wasn't dead
But she was
I honestly kind of hated this movie. Perhaps not for a good reason, as far as I'm concerned it was well made enough for what they were going for, but what happens towards the end felt like a total bait and switch. It was pretty scummy of Disney to market this as some fun Narnia-esque adventure movie only to gut-punch viewers with a child death (including lots of families bringing the kids along, expecting something lighthearted). Maybe some people cried, but I was left just feeling unhappy and unsatisfied.
Too overactive more like too attractive

Please don't make these types of movies anymore.
It's not worth it to get traumatized over a movie/drama.
can someone explain i didn’t get it
...I don't understand the end..
Jess independently opened a portal to Terabithia, hoping to find Leslie there and talk to her. However, Leslie, although she did not die, but pretended to be dead to encourage Jess to do it, is not in Terabithia, since she is a superhero without a cape and saving the world somewhere else.
