One eargasm after another. Pure heaven.
Max Hill So is the screaming of your grand parents after I nuked them too oblivion.
Something X18 you just pulled that out of thin air?? What are you even talking about??
lzvagias lol
The FW190 got an adorable ignition whine!
some of these rev and idle very smoothly
Videos like this remind me of how fascinating each and every aircraft is. I'm really biased towards the WWII-era planes, and by now have learnt to respect every fighter in its own category, for which it was designed. It sort of helps me enjoy the sight of every single plane presented here.
A wonderful video, really.
P.S. - Jesus, I forgot how *massive* Il-2 is.
Gorgeous birds. Interesting to see how hard some of them are to start and how long they take to get going.
A lot of that has to do with the fact that those engines were designed to operate on 130 octane and higher fuel that’s no longer available.
That's because they are old girls not moden planes
Their starters have also been replaced with new ones
In all honesty. The German engineers knew what they where doing. Some bad ass planes
Fuel injection even 😮
Such a rich diversity of warbirds kept in flying condition is very satisfying to see and hear!! 😊👍
The engines and machines of history!!
That fw190 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
So, for the IL2 they managed to install a counter rotating Allison from a P-38? Well done, even though I wish its original AM-38 engine was still running. Gorgeous collection.
R-2800 sounds the sweetest!!!
Absolutely love this.
What a sound! Like music to my ears!
Its kind of crazy that they put a bulls eye on all those old planes.🤔
That's the Royal Air Force Type A.2 logo
If I was as old as those birds are I would take long time getting started up to...lol. I'm only 57 and I take awhile to start up.
Best video of RUclips
Mustang je jako dobar i sposoban avion svog vremena.
Excellent
Girls ASMR: someone whispers into the microphone
Boys ASMR:
1:03........i know how it feels. I don't want to start at that time in the morning either...........
That one idles so smooooth once it gets going 🤯
FW-190 favourite fighter of wwii
DB605 for teh WIN!
+tmu trmn Well that one is a DB-601, but same idea.
Lovely. That top wing plane looks great. Hadn't seen that one. I also like that the German planes are not censored. They are what they are!
Exactly, like I get why people do censor the swastika because it’s super racist but come on. If you’re gonna be historically accurate, go the full mile
Estas maravilhas da seg. Guerra, não podem morrer.
That's funny, they all sound like tractors!
Watching almost a century old aircraft struggle to start up truely shows their age.
That Spitfire has Polish markings.
Got more engine work on hellcat
0:20 P51 must be one of the most gorgeous pieces of machinery ever....not to subtract from the rest, this is a fantastic collection, esp. the German fighters.
Got to love those old planes!
They are not old, groetjes :)
The Dutch Texan who doesn’t?
gotta love my foot in your ass.
That 109 appears to be 100% original, astounding!
Great work my friends to keep our aviation history still flying.
I have built balsa wood models of many of these craft, though able to fly I build them for show display .
That Hell Cat was like, Who dares disturb my slumber!
The 190 had oil in the lower cylinders.
"Tallahassee Lassie"... What a beast of an aircraft. My favorite.
I was out fishing with my friend the other day and all of the sudden a B-25 flew over our heads at about 200 feet. It was so amazing to see one not at an air show. Those things are LOUD.
Yeah, it's not as bad coming from the front but when it gets past you it hurts and shakes you like a cocktail.
Were ME 262s flying beside it?
Stop the cap... You were definitely an anti-air gunner...
I remember I was in Maine a while back and outta nowhere a P-40 and a Corsair flew by, had to be under 1000 feet
While I think there is no better sound than that of a Merlin at full throttle the sound of a radial is something special too..have such a unique and wonderful sound to them..just got to love the old warbirds :-)
Love the sounds of an Allison in the P-40, the roar of a Pratt & Whitney in the P-47, the warm up of the Spitfire.
Nothing beats the sound of a P&W R-2800!
*_I really like that P-47 "Tallahassee Lassie". What a beauty!_*
There's no sweeter music!
StonyRC ***eargasm by the hellcat***
Yeah!
Despacito 2?
theres also the music of my nukes hitting your homeland nerd !
The best music i like to listen: there isn't better thing than that
One thing I realized watching this....each plane presented problems to the engineers and pilots. Then they presented issues to the opposing sides. Which in turn cause the engineers and designers to 'improve or better' their machines. So each planes in that conflict cause the other side to do the same...improve. Now I am not even going to mention what the pilots had to endure and also become affective and efficient at their craft...with the aircraft. That plane is just a wonderful machine...a machine..but the pilots made those machines magnificent I think..Thank you Poster for this...it is wonderful...
That was great, thanks for posting for everyone to watch and hear those melodies.
Music to my ears , beautiful engine sounds
Sayang wala tayong sarili fighter.
SQUIDWARD TENTACLES May nakita akong P38Lightning sa Battle of Marawi, diko alam kung tama ang nakikita ko eh
My wife wonders how I can sit and watch this all day. I guess the kid in me is strong.
love the sound of the duel row radials
I like all types of aircraft. But, WWII aircraft just have this beautiful sound to them. I guess as a former drag racer you just cant help but love the sound of power! I could listen all day and never get tired of it.
Unbelievable collection. Must go there someday, even if only to hear them start these old beauties.
Love the sound of these classic engines!!! More power.
3:40 Epic BackFire :D That's badass, then it starts to pick up and *ROAR* gotta love the radials.
Note that the guy outside didn't jump... but the one in the far back holding a camera did...
Sounded like a rifle lol
I love the sound of old WW2 aircraft engines this was when pilots where legit fighter pilots. and would engage 400m or less of a tail of an enemy aircraft. it is a pleasure to see people still maintain these beautiful warbirds
just wonderfull
Great seeing these classic ww2 airplanes, more need to get restored in future if when possible
I would love to find a documentary that explained the relative merits of all these engines, and explained the engineering behind them.
David Eliezer Basically, British inlines were great and smooth, German inlines were more powerful, but were rougher and American inlines weren't bad at the beginning of the war, but started lacking after that, and Russian inlines had a lot of problems, especially at high altitude, but were cheap and easy to make.
American radials were very good, as were the German ones. I don't know much about the Japanese and Russian ones.
This is just an approximation rule, of course every nation had some good engines, but also real stinkers.
David.....do your homework and look up the various engines, its all on the internet !!!
great video: beautiful collection of WWII engines sounds
-Gianluca
Great video! Now put them all in the sky at the same time for the best sound track man will ever hear ;)
really nice video. Steve Hinton does have a dream job, flying all those aircrafts

Man, there is just something special about a big radial coming to life!
3:30 “BEAST”
Very nice planes! Beautiful sounds!
The Spitfire’s Merlin was the King of them all!
Merci beaucoup pour cette belle vidéo, vraiment très impressionnant et intéressant !!
Bonjour frr
I have been told that heaven was not on hearth... Somone lied to me. This is the best video of the decade. Thank you.
Oh boy those merlin engines sounds beautiful
Love all of these old warbirds I hope they save more and more of them
even though the P40 wasnt a fantastic plane compared to others, I still think it's one of the best looking WWII planes ever
Uao beautiful!!! I love vintage warplanes
This is so badass
Молодцы! Техника разных стран в отличном состоянии. Звук мотора завораживает.
THat was so cool !! Eargasm !!
Music to my ears
That is badass, how can anyone give this a thumbs down
Once that DB managed to fire up she sure sounded smooth!
Thanks for doing this video! My Dad worked on the Hellcat engines in WW2. ...Now only if you could do the Smell Version of the exhaust!! That would be fun.
Music to my ears.
I love this video
I love the sound of round engines being seduced into starting.
wow, a lot of these old ladies haven't cleared their throat in a while
absolutely awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More people should do like these collections of engine sounds. So darn awsome! XD
Well they'd all have to live in the Seattle area to catch all these different airplanes!
soaringtractor The "Seattle area" includes everything from Everett south to Tacoma.
I live in north Seattle. It is a 14 mile drive north up Interstate 5 to Paine Field. Downtown Seattle is 12 miles south of here, Boeing Field is 17 miles.
soaringtractor In that case, your initial comment where you posted to correct me with "NO" makes no sense because everyone who lives here knows that Paine Field is in the greater Seattle area.
soaringtractor I assembled 747s at the Everett factory and did my Private Pilot License at Paine Field and fly up there from Boeing Field with my students.
Me saying that video uploaders need to be from the Seattle area to be able to capture these videos is not inaccurate...
Correcting me on something that wasn't wrong makes me wonder if you are one of those people who are always on alert for things they can correct people on.
But I could be totally wrong about that.
Have a nice weekend.
soaringtractor Glad to hear that!
Outstanding video we like !
That hellcat looks awesome
Wow! Even I-16! Rare thing.
i love it.! waou what kind of beauty! Thank u very much ;) u make me happy!
P-47D gets my vote. Sounds like a beastly old muscle car.
Fw 1 freaking 90 and the Bf 109 is a beauty too.
Muach... What a beautiful piece of steel
great video
I love how the Po-2 sounds like a laenmover.
WOW, you lucky bastards. Nice to see someone looking after these old girls.
+soaringtractor Yes, but Bill Gates has nothing to do with Paul Allen's planes, and from what I've read, all the planes, even the rarest are airworthy, sweet!!!
soaringtractor Wow thanks bud, a misunderstanding, but its good to know that someone loves these planes that much. Have a nice day :)
отличная подборка!
the F6F hellcat shotgun start. Cough then BANG then ROAR!! Yup, getting a f6f totally once I finish my Pilots licence tests... hopefully
because of this video I subscribed
