If having him take over makes her happy, then dont hate, be happy for her.
It is good that broken relationships are mended and families are stabilized. It is what God designed. Unforgiveness is of the devil and we should not entertain it. I am happy that they are mending their fences. If you are a genuine supporter, be happy for what God is doing in their lives. Give love a chance.

Bri I’ve been here for a long time now. Out at the farm, during the birth of the twins…and, what I want to say is I’m so very proud of you for your unwavering commitment and dedication with your faith to hang. To keep trusting and believing all things would work out for your family!❤ During that whole time I never heard you talk negatively about Art & clung to the belief you guys belonged together! God bless you both & your beautiful children 😊 You are truly an inspiration to me!

I strain my bacon grease through a paper towel. I then use the greasy towel to wipe my cast iron pans after washing them out. The water gets absorbed by the dry parts of the towel & the grease seals the pan for storing.

My potatoes are sprouting too, in my cellar. You’re right, it is satisfying to feed journey families things that we grew and/or preserved. Tonight for dinner we had home canned vegetable soup that I added frozen peas and cooked ground beef to. Some I grew and preserved and some I didn’t. It felt good to know I worked hard last summer to provide for my family in the winter. Thanks, Bri!

Oh my gosh I want to make potato soup now. A winter favorite of mine and hadn't thought of it yet! loved this. The cabbages look amazing and so exciting to still be able to harvest from a winter garden. I am in a cold climate and one year somehow carrots got left in the ground over winter. And when I found them in the spring they will pretty good still. I was shocked. hugs

My kids all think I'm crazy. They love their chef knives . Way too big for me.The tiny paring knife is great for taking the core out of onions and peeling potatoes.

Bri and Al ~ I love this video, and I especially love what you said at the end, Bri, regarding not comparing yourself and your garden to somebody else’s. We need to remember that the goal is to have sustainable food that is fresh. And wholesome and healthy. It doesn’t matter if somebody has more than you or the variety looks better than yours or they had more produce… The point is you took the time to till up the Garden, prepare the soil, add fertilizer, and plant your rows to the best of your knowledge, and care for it until harvest time by watering and weeding, and even covering, if need be from early frost, etc. You ran the entire course and was successful and that’s all that matters. I think the worst thing we do in life is compare ourselves to somebody else. I think women are exceptionally bad about that. I thank you for reminding people not to do that.😊❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
I grew up on a farm and I’ve continue to have gardens whenever I could in my adult life, and I did not know that broccoli could stay sweet or even sweeter when the cold begins to stay in; I thought your carrot looked marvelous, and I didn’t know you could keep them in the soil until you needed them and clearly your food is because your children are eating it raw and they normally won’t do that unless it’s exceptionally good, especially at the age of your younger half of the family is.
Your potato chowder looked so good and Hardy in these cold days we are having and I wanted some so badly I’ll have to make sure I get some needed items from the grocery store next week.
I truly love your channel and I want you to know I think you’re wonderful parents and I always feel better after listening to you talk, Bri❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ I also love how much compassion and kindness you guys showed to your children openly and how much respect you give them. I think that’s something that’s missing and a lot of parents, parenting, book of do’s, and don’t!! Children, deserve respect and kindness. Just the same as we want from adults to talk to us. Yelling and screaming at children is not acceptable and I’m so glad that is not a part of you guys home life❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

One of the things about putting water in the bacon grease would make it likely to sour, spoil! something i did couple times with time constraints, wanting to make potato soup,or casserole, fried potatoes, etc, instead of peeling them while raw. I wash, put in pot of boiling water and barely precook, then pour off the water, run under cold water or just drain the first water. After sitting few minutes the peeling just pulls right off without even peeling, and less work! It still tastes good whichever way using.

Carrots...they can be frozen in the freezer and do well so they can be frozen outside as well. Also, the roots will absorb moisture out of the soil and that keeps the cellular walls from bursting and rottening or becoming mush. That's why 😁

Hello Bri. I watch a channel by the boss of the swamp on off grid homesteading. He has some cabins and one he has a skirted cabin and it stays cold under there so he took a steel truck took box and buried it in the dirt up to the lid and puts his garden harvest in there and it stays far longer. No rodents can get to it. So I was wondering if you could bury one under where you put your vegetables.
