I don’t blame you for thinking thatk but apparently 1000 people die every year because buses accelerate and brake too fast, according to TfL an announcement could stop that, dont know how
It's happens to me when I take the bus *Doors close* *Bus moves* 5-10 secs later Please hold on this bus is about to move Me: OMG ITS ALREADY MOVING!!!! TFL: OH SORRY WE WILL FIX IT!! Me: yeah like in 2 months!!
*gets on and doesn't hold on* *Doors closes* *bus starts moving* *falls from the stairs, breaks arm, leg, back* "Please hold on. thE bUs is aBOUt tO mOVe"
In Budapest they say “Please always hold on as the vehicle may need to break suddenly” and its usually just after it stopped suddenly and 10 people fell😂😂
Do we really need to be told this? The names of the stops is handy, but this is just silly - it's like the bus has become our parent, like it's telling us to put our seat belt on
@@frozenxavier819 The thing I didn't like about it was there was some kind of emphasise on the "hold on" it was like "Please _hold_ _on_ while the bus is moving" and it just sounded... Off
The his is very useful! Sadly my mum fell on a bus and was rushed to hospital as the bus jolted too abruptly. Glad to we they're doing something to reduce the amount of accidents.
I take the bus a lot in Australia, to school and home and I usually stand, I think once a year I get 100 injuries from falling and bumping. We should have more double Decker buses in Australia and some sort of announcement!
If they are that bloody concerned; all buses I know the drivers has the CCTV monitor veiw of the gangway and decks. *JUST wait for the boarding passengers to sit*
Absolutely ridiculous. I am trying to imagine the setting where this decision was taken, most likely a senior management meeting. Because usually, there is someone, somewhere, taking a decision and an action is then put in place. Was there no one else in that meeting to stop them ?
Has anyone noticed that ever since they have had this announcement on the buses, the drivers are even more harsh while driving on the road??? When they swerve from left to right or stopping and going, im swaying even more than before...
On the subject of badly timed announcements, why, at Lidl and Aldi, do they announce the opening of a till and ask customers to begin queuing there, and a few minutes later announce that they need somebody to staff it? Surely it would make more sense to announce that the till is available once somebody is already sitting there.
I think it should be on a button like when it says "seats are available on the upper deck" because no one wants to hear that every single stop or maybe signs?
In Germany we don´t have this extra announcement. I think it´s really unnecessary because when you must stand in a Bus, it´s clear that you must hold on. Otherwise you fall down.
Wow. I'm so surprised that they need to announce that, there's none of that in Vancouver, there's only small sticker signs and the occasional driver saying "Please hold on" if the bus is somewhat full.
What a fantastically interesting, provocative, thought inducing piece of journalism. However will precious London commuters find their way out of this sticky mess?
Oh i hate this kind of announcements. In barcelona, some of the new buses say "doors closing" when the doors close and i find it really annoying cause every door says it by itself so normally it's like an echo of 3 "doors closing doors closing losing".
They introduced announcements like this in Berlin last year. But over here it’s just a „Dear passengers, we‘d like to ask you to hold on while the bus is moving“ as it’s played as randomly as on the London buses.
It's health and safety gone mad. We know the bus is about to move, we can hear the door beeper closing and the familiar sound of the brakes being released. Nobody will listen to the important announcements anymore because you're clogging up the airwaves with pointless bs
My friends grandad got crushed by a fat lady when a bus hit the brakes. The lady went flying into him+broke 2 of his ribs poor him...welp need safety in these buses
Do people really need to be told this. If you get hurt it’s your own fault. Imagine what our grandparents and their parents would think of shite such as this. Pathetic nanny state.
Very British problems
yet hardly any were British
No British people get the bus. The bus is for peasant immigrants.
Why is an announcement even needed? You're on a bus - it is going to move. What's next, hold on the bus is moving?
Masood Shaikh because people milk the system and people try to sue people over nothing
next: The bus is at a traffic light, Remain holding on, The bus has stopped, you may take your hand of the pole.
Unfortunately many silly people use buses and lack common sense , as does most of society
I don’t blame you for thinking thatk but apparently 1000 people die every year because buses accelerate and brake too fast, according to TfL an announcement could stop that, dont know how
This announcement should activate when the driver realises the handbrake...
Rahan omsi 2 content and more exactly, when he releases the handbrake or when the bus closes
Michael Anderson it should activate when the driver looks at the right hand mirror
id just hold and release the handbrake every second lol
I don't believe bus drivers activate the handbrake for short, urban bus stops like these though.
not the handbrake, but the stationbrake. otherwise he wouldn't be able to open the doors..
It's a bus. What else would you expect it to do?! Grow wings and take a flight to Mars?!
DrDewott yes
I want to go Mars :(
Are you assuming Ffff Ffffddd is human?
If it went on a flight to mars it would still start moving..
Wings don't make you fly in space lol
When i die and when my family surround my death bed. My final words will be "Please hold on, the bus is about to move."
Please hold on, The hearse is about to move
@@IseyWasTaken nailed it
First world problems.
More like third world.
HAHAHA i was wondering why this started playing recently lol
ok
Me too it's actually piss taking when going to college
It’s for visually impaired people
Speaker Sex C&I the one in Angels always late 😣😣😣
tbh id rather fall down the stairs then have that in my ear every 5 seconds
pattrick hurcombe dennell 😂
It's amazing that we're at the point where we're being told to hold on while the bus is moving. I would've thought it was common sense.
In Singapore, it is announced as "please hold on to the grab poles or handgrips when standing on the bus".
Not the main reason I'm hoping to get to Singapore lol
mailerdiablo in Canada. We hear nothing
In New Zealand, we use common sense.
mailerdiablo In SMRT buses, I hate the "Doors are closing" followed by beeps.
It's a bus not a train😔
Imagine if you have like 20 stops
Muhammad Afiq They don't do it every stop though. And lately, I haven't been hearing it as frequently too...
It's happens to me when I take the bus
*Doors close*
*Bus moves*
5-10 secs later
Please hold on this bus is about to move
Me: OMG ITS ALREADY MOVING!!!!
TFL: OH SORRY WE WILL FIX IT!!
Me: yeah like in 2 months!!
TheMiniGamerYT And Trains or never
TheMiniGamerYT And Trains they literally fixed it yesterday
Nebulix Network yeah
TheMiniGamerYT And Trains Innit!!

"Please hold on. thE bUs is aBOUt tO mOVe"
187 At least I tried!
Well it’s your fault for not holding onto the bars....
ikec4937 this was actually funny loool
I'm dead this happened once
I found this funny lool
In the days of bus conductors, it was common the hear them announce, “hold tight please” and then ding, ding.
How about replacing it with a chime instead and link it to when the doors actually close?
I immediately thought of Geoff Marshall when I saw this video!
Coach Jack Bolton a bus/train geek
I watch geoff
7days ago I heard this I couldnt breathe because how stupid the timing is like the bus moves 5 secs later please hold on the bus is about to move
It'd make more sense to me if they implemented LED signs that'd flash when the doors closed. That seems like it'd be much less annoying
Love the sweet silence of the buses of Manchester and elsewhere where it's sit down and chill, fend for yourself.
In Budapest they say “Please always hold on as the vehicle may need to break suddenly” and its usually just after it stopped suddenly and 10 people fell😂😂
The wheels and the bus go, round and round
It's true. I've seen it. People are surprised when a bus takes off and they get flung back.
Everything in England is broken I swear to god lol
dislike for you
danner253 Tell that to someone in Hati or North korea lol
Kacper Frankowski xD
Banksy HATI L M A O XDDD
It's very freaking annoying! Just stop with that sh*t you should've done that from the beginning.
Do we really need to be told this? The names of the stops is handy, but this is just silly - it's like the bus has become our parent, like it's telling us to put our seat belt on
Yan93 Something something nanny state
Get rid of it, otherwise it will be an endless amount of complaints...
First the announcement to where the bus is going and then, the announcement of the bus stop. Why don't singapore buses have this?
They changed it to "Please hold on while the bus is moving."
mjgirl123x now it’s gone completely
It pisses me off because she says “movin’” instead of “moving” it’s cringe to hear
Frozen Xavier shut up blud!

this is just Health and safety gone mad, I glad the rest of UK cities and towns don't have a Transport for London
CYMetro1985 How exactly for example Manchester is gonna have an Transport for *London*
well its would be Transport for Manchester
CYMetro1985 You didn't get the joke.
How stupid have we become that we need an announcement telling us a bus is about to move
The his is very useful! Sadly my mum fell on a bus and was rushed to hospital as the bus jolted too abruptly. Glad to we they're doing something to reduce the amount of accidents.
*NOISE POLLUTION!*

once a year 100 injuries?.... what?
Icydsting it just a joke, but today my bus got to pack and the bus driver had to pass several bus stops

They removed this ting
Now it is "Please hold on while the bus is moving"
Has anyone noticed that ever since they have had this announcement on the buses, the drivers are even more harsh while driving on the road??? When they swerve from left to right or stopping and going, im swaying even more than before...
In Vietnam, there are announcements only about next stops and controlled by the central building, not by timing (although it used to)
Hold on, I'm typing a reply
Shouldn't be on the bus anyways . It's really gets on my nerves
I'm screaming oh my god
An enormously huge man gets on waddling from side to side. Please hold on the bus is about to move. That's a bit insulting.
Wow thanks for this newsworthy and informitive news clip
They changed it to hold on the bus is moving or something like that, I heard it yesterday
Useless, you can literally feel and see it when the bus is moving
Bloody hell, you're on a bus, hold on to something, that sounds like the most pointless warning message ever. Whatever next?!
Not _quite_ sure why people need to be warned that the bus is about to move. . . that is, after all, what busses are _for. . ._
Instead of hiding the problem with announcements, why can’t all bus drivers just accelerate smoothly...?
People should be aware that they need to hold on
On the subject of badly timed announcements, why, at Lidl and Aldi, do they announce the opening of a till and ask customers to begin queuing there, and a few minutes later announce that they need somebody to staff it? Surely it would make more sense to announce that the till is available once somebody is already sitting there.
The bus was terminating at a stop, and this announcement popped up. Nothing was funnier than that.
I think it should be on a button like when it says "seats are available on the upper deck" because no one wants to hear that every single stop or maybe signs?
Yeah we have this in San Francisco. As soon as the driver puts his foot on the accelerator from a stop, it says “Please hold on.”
In Germany we don´t have this extra announcement. I think it´s really unnecessary because when you must stand in a Bus, it´s clear that you must hold on. Otherwise you fall down.
We don’t even have any warnings here in Melbourne (Australia)
Am I the only one who has never heard this
**when bus arrives at terminus**
'Please hold on, the bus is about to move'
Suppose it is better than the announcement coming on when it's stuck in gruelling London traffic.
Wow. I'm so surprised that they need to announce that, there's none of that in Vancouver, there's only small sticker signs and the occasional driver saying "Please hold on" if the bus is somewhat full.
In India the bus driver has to shout at the people on the roof of the bus to hold on
M Meah lol
What a fantastically interesting, provocative, thought inducing piece of journalism. However will precious London commuters find their way out of this sticky mess?
lol, "John! - all we've got is the piece about people tripping on a bus that moves", "do you want it" ?
Oh i hate this kind of announcements. In barcelona, some of the new buses say "doors closing" when the doors close and i find it really annoying cause every door says it by itself so normally it's like an echo of 3 "doors closing doors closing losing".

*Bus moves*
you've reached your destination.
*Bus falls off a cliff*
PlEaSe HolD oN ThE bUs Is AboUt To MoVe
Now it changed to:
*please hold on whilst the bus is moving*
Put a few thousand more signs up around the bus saying to hold on and then give up... Here in Boston they don't care if you get tossed around a bit
Why not either have a button the bus man presses or an automatic announcement when the doors are closing
Some buses say 'Please hold on whilst the bus is moving '.
I bet that whoever created this announcement has had *SO* many complaints.
Today it changed to "please hold on while the bus is moving"
I've heard this on my regular buses and I think they should definitely time it better
"Let's sync the message up to the destination announcements because *buses are never late* .
Where I live we have buses that announce every street and avenue that’s being passed by the bus and it has Siri’s voice lol.
The technical Glitch has been fixed for where I live but now it says that the bus is about to move 5-15 seconds before the bus actually moves
It has changed a bit.. it says please hold on while the bus is moving
It's Health and Safety gone mad. . .

What country is this bus in?
It announced before the bus moved when i used the bus today twice and how is it annoying
You don't hear "Doors closing, please stand clear" AFTER the train doors have closed
If they want to carry on cant they re-record the announcement to say “please hold on, the bus is now moving”
we dont even have this announcement in London.
When you get on the bus the first thing you should do is sit down or hold on to something.
I grew up in India and if you know what the buses are like there, they accelerate as you are getting on
Do people really need to be told this. If you get hurt it’s your own fault. Imagine what our grandparents and their parents would think of shite such as this. Pathetic nanny state.
Omg this is so scary it says it too late! Lets make a whole news story about it
i couldn't understand not one person they interviewed
What they should do is make it play when the doors are closing.
PLEASE HOLD ON, THE BUS IS ABOUT TO MOVE.
TAKE IT AWAY ERNIE! ITS GONNA BE A BUMPY RIDE!
Or just give a few seconds of the passengers to settle down or let them grab some support before moving the bus.
We actually need someone to tell us to hold onto the bus
what car is passing at 1:41 lotus or tvr?
kn00tcn Lotus Exige.
Dave Haggar lol no it's a Lotus Evora, you can tell by the taillights
they should make it if it breaks to fast and accelerating
Hong Kong buses doesn't have this announcement
Welcome to Canada .where I live buses cost too much and if you're standing in the bus is. . . moving oh well
Why have they got tickets on them and not use cards instead use rough floor to stop slipping
This happens on my buses to school
Finally I've been heading this alot of times on the bus it's annoying
