This happens a lot. Drownings of children in pools are not actually commonplace, but almost. I've seen this happen in front of professional lifeguards at a public pool, not doing their jobs correctly. It's very hard work to keep people safe around water and takes a good deal of training. Which itself is not enough, takes vigilance, crazy precaution and lots of follow up in the event of a crisis.

Aaron, a truly touching film. We were fortunate not to lose our son, but he was run over right in front of our house, and we lived in a subdivision, not a busy street, but our son was run over and life flighted from our local hospital to a trauma center, due to internal bleeding. There's a whole lot to this story, and if you are interested, I will be happy to share everything, but for now, I can tell you that our son miraculously recovered, and there were several other parents we got to know while our son was in the hospital, and their stories are remarkable as well. One family had a child that had drown the same day our son was life flighted there, and their child was receiving intensive care, she had not died, and so that was good, although I'm not sure of their long term effects, but the wonderful thing about children one doctor told us was that they heal so much faster than adults. For example, a week or two in the hospital in ICU, could be months for an adult. There is a lot of good things that happened through our sons accident, and friends and family, even local dentists, doctors etc. encouraged me to write about everything that happened, but I didn't, and was just busy taking care of our children and life goes on, but if ever there's an opportunity that arises, it's still just as amazing now to remember back and retell. Thank you for your wonderful film! If you would like to know more, just let me know. Our children are in their 20's and early 30's now! I can imagine what kind of gripping guilt the brother had, I'm sure your film has touched and helped many people. ❤

I almost died when I was 12 years old in a pool. No adults near us. Pools are dangerous. Now, I would like to learn how to swim but I am afraid of being in a pool. Maybe someday…
