  • Defence ministers of India and U.S. recently announced an enhanced defence partnership known as INDUS-X, and we will soon witness India’s new defence roadmap. But while US is preparing to offer its cutting-edge weapons technology to India, the irony is that it hopes to use India itself as a weapon because India is the silver bullet U.S. needs. What’s the truth behind US’ helping hand?

It is not the silver bullet that USA sees in India. It is the sacrificial lamb that they always looks for. Whether it is Pakistan, Afghanistan or the latest Ukraine. They always looks for a sacrificial lamb.

@@ZeroResurrected The fault lies in the monetary system. The current system only knows consumption of resources. It does not allow to nurture the resources for the future generations. America and the European world is the sole responsible for this system. They are the root cause for the problem. China is not a dangerous country. It pretends to be a monster but it is does not has the substance or the intention. Historically chinese are peace loving people. they are the sufferers of their own leadership. A change in European world monetary system will bring peace and harmony to the world than the change in the chinese leadership. China is now a prosperous country. I do not think they spoil it for the sake of a war.

The partnership with India has more to do with both countries having China as a potential adversary.

U.S is typically trying to flex its soft power by requesting India to join nato.
    1. The main aim of the U.S is to get India to stand with the west and condemn its long time and loyal partner Russia. Since India being the largest exporter of petroleum products it will be easy for the west to get subsidies eventually reducing a part in their battle against inflation.
    2. Also, a part of the debt which the U.S owes is taken from India.
    3. If India joins the Nato then they have to dance with the rhythm or to the tune of the U.S which will directly affect the sovereignty of India.
    4. Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq are the best examples of why you should never trust the Americans. Even though these countries are run on the basis of theocracy, the U.S is the main catalyst for the rise of theocracy in these countries.

Don't misunderstood....the US has never needed India for anything. India and the US are the two largest democracies in the world. And the US requested that India join NATO plus, is because they share western values. Just like Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. But the US don't need anything from India.

The US and NATO and Ukraine brought the price of Russian oil down for India in which India is GLEEFULLY profiting from, yet Indian attitudes towards the US and the EU is bellicose. Russia has an agenda to subjugate its neighbors in Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and other countries in Africa. Libya, Afghanistan, Syria, and the Central African Republic are some paramount examples. The best example would be Ukraine. As an American my thought of warming relations with India at this time is a big mistake. NATO does not seek membership from India. India can deal with China and Pakistan on its own. Your trust for me is the same trust I have for you.
One last note; inflation in the US is less than 6% and that's without any help from India. Oil imports to the US is less than 2% of its consumption. In some other countries, inflation exceeds 100%. It is for that reason the US Dollar is the worlds reserve currency.

      1. Russia offered discounted oil to India long before the price cap was introduced by west and at that time EU was OFT largest importer of oil from Russia.
      2. Europe is also benefitting from cheap oil that India imports..... guess where does Europe gets large amount of CHEAP refined oil from... India and that refined oil is made from the cheap crude oil imported from Russia.

It's not twisted. India is a partner with both US and Russia. It's not good to pick any side b/w them. Besides India is not interested in any kind of military alliance. India is the only big country in the world that can act as the bridge between Western allies and Eastern allies. Let's say India picks a side among two sides, which would only lead to more instability in the world. The side India joins has a high chance of winning
