One of my most awaited figures - I am surprised that lower legs are coming from the sentry/human instead of the science officer. Apparently chicken legs are not good for piloting starships ... Thanks for the detailed review!
Boy oh boy oh boy. I only ordered Altarr and Kalian from this wave, and you’re making me second guess myself. When the preorder went up, to cut costs, I thought to myself, sure, he looks cool, but do I really need the Science Officer in every color? I stand by that fact, and I don’t need them in every color, but THIS COLOR looks gorgeous. Offsetting all that red with the black limbs is a great idea. I might have to pick one of these up when I get the chance.
Do have Slygor & Did pre-ordered The one you are reviewing , I'm going into these more with the emphasis of making space 🚀 Marines. Human beings Than the aliens Same with mythic legions more into the knights & Gladiators, Than the Other characters like always fantastic videos. Thanks for the heads-up !
Bill, this is a figure that really makes me want a starship. An A-wing, Tie-fighter, or Y-wing scale. Mythic legions has mounts, come on 4H. It would probably be in Ogre scale price range though 😏. Your kitbashes are fantastic, playing an old hit the Xaria /science officer what I called the assassin. The new ones specific for the pilot Zende and the Spexian speak well for new characters in my head cannon. I appreciate the size comparisons. ✌️
I'm so glad I randomly decided to order this with my original preorder set. Thats just another great figure I spent money on so long ago that it's basically a free toy now! (toy collector math)
Great review Bill. The red armor really does pop on this figure. I’m anticipating some Iron Man customs based on this figure for sure. I will likey use the robotic head for this pilot, just read AI use in military fighter jets already beat humans 100% of the time in combat scenarios. Unless that big brain in that alien head is more advanced, the robots are winning. 🤖
It doesn't matter what figure it is I have the most terrible time trying to get the shoulder armor to stay plugged into the shoulders. I've tried a heat gun I've tried all kinds of things and it seems like that peg just pops out of there eventually. Not on every figure but at least enough of them to where it's frustrating
As a cosmic lover I’ve gotta keep it 💯... this wave is a letdown. All the figures are just repaints AND we’ve had operative and big green for nearly a year already. And the legionscon two pack is just more of the same sadly. I’ll get excited about this line when we get some actual NEW stuff.
When Cosmic 1 was delayed, Four Horsemen decided to hold back on putting the big new wave up for PO until after it shipped. So they did this small repaint wave instead as more of a non-essential release. Oxkrewe will be the wave with the new molds. Slip this and go for that if you want new stuff.
@@DorkLair you’re right. I hope they open up a new new PO for cosmic in the next months. I’d love to see some new stuff to get excited about. This year has been Uber heavy on mythic
@@beej5 They said PowerCon would be the yearly big Cosmic reveal, so I'm not sure what we'll see this year with no PowerCon on the schedule. Hopefully they'll just reveal something anyway, maybe at a smaller show.
That red and black look amazing together, but I'm going to go with the white from the science officer to give him more of an Iron Man look.

If I had a much smaller collection of figures, this could be a fun piece to own. Love the red. Just not a figure I really need though.

I know they've explained why they aren't making human space figures, but putting human heads on the cosmics takes them to a more fun character level.
Can you pop the upper arms, legs, and head from Magnus on to this for a poor man's Tony Stark Iron Man?
