Update: Two days ago, I bought my second Ken doll here in Houston at the toy store (forgot the name); he is Fashionista Ken 204, and he was the only one left! I just love his man bun, and his paisley shirt and shorts combo; I also didn't realize he has a strong muscular build, so, he can only wear stretchy pants or stretchy shorts, lol. Yesterday, I went to JCPenney at the Meyerland Plaza here in Houston, Texas, and I bought Fashionista Ken 175 with his 70's/80's inspired striped shirt, and there was also a Ken 212 with his prosthetic leg, but I didn't have enough to buy him. Also, I also saw three Ken 154 dolls, but some kids took them before me, so I ended buying Ken 175, since he was the only one there. And also, I went to a nearby dollar store, and I saw some Genuine Ken orange basketball uniforms, in the knockoff doll section. There were ten of them, so I ended up buying all ten of them! Maybe I might do a basketball Ken project these days. 🏀🏀
Those background cards can be put together to make nice wallpaper for Slate’s apartment. If I could get any more dolls, I’d get #162 (the Black guy) and get him out of that silly outfit ASAP 😂🤣😂 This was a very well done comparison and review!!! 👍🏼
Really cool Ken Fashionistas dolls, the new packaging is handy and could even display the dolls back in the packaging if you wanted. The outfits look great but agree am not a fan of the PJ style pants with the stars, cool to see another Ken doll with rooted hair. The plastic shoes with sock are a strange idea but they still look ok. The purple sports shit and shorts look good together. 😍💗💪
Awww finally a guy reviewing barbies not acting girlish!!! I'm glad I found ur channel and ur reviews are amazing! I'm in love with the black rootend guy that I named Luther, but cannot find him in the stores. >_< I always find the other two (the slim boy I named Vladimir cuz to me he looks slav like russian or polish and the strong guy) and they are always double or triple together with the lilac hair boy I named Trunks for obvious reasons. 🤣 I dun like barbies of today since in my opinion the faces are not so pretty like the ones in the 80's and 90's, but now it happened the opposite with ken, vintage ones always had the same faces while the actual ones are very interestings, just a pity their clothings are so poorly made with everything printed on instead of real pockets, buttons, zippers etc like in the past, but clothes can be changed with something else. 😉 But the worst thing to me it's their stiff bodies with no articulations. It would be so cool if they had twit and turn waist, L shaped arms and bendable knees like vintage guys. Btw still a great review thnanx.

I love that you played around and tried the different clothing pieces on the different dolls! I have #162 ordered from Amazon and can't wait to get him! I was crazy about him the first time I saw him, because his rooted hair looks really good and he has a really handsome face mold. I don't care for the slim guy so much,but maybe if his hair was darker he wouldn't look so blah. And I was going to bypass the husky guy, but you just may have convinced me to get him! lol Thanx for another informative and fun review! 🌹

That 80's retro stuff looks great on you!!! I was a teenager back then, but even then I mostly wore a mix of classic and vintage stuff, (Old motorcycle jackets and vintage tweed sports coats over simple black, white or striped tops and Levi's 501s mostly! I also had this long, swirly army trench coat I used to love when I was a fashion student in the late 80's. And a vintage black dinner jacket from the 40's I used to wear over a white t-shirt and ripped jeans.) I pulled out a faded denim shirt I still have from back then from my closet recently and wore that over a striped t-shirt and khaki chinos and everyone thought it was new! LOL But those are 'classics' I guess. I definitely wasn't a 'cabana suit' guy! LOL ... Love the fashions and design of these guys here! It was cool how some of their outfits had a really similar print to what you were wearing (I love your themed outfits to whatever you're reviewing!) And of course, I love when they fall over! LOL... Don't playline Barbies and Kens come with stands anymore? They used to come with all but the really budget dolls when I was growing up.
Not sure if you’ve seen them in Canada yet, but some of the previous wave of fashionistas (2019) are being put in the new packaging. The back of package card shows the currant wave, but they have new art for the front card.
I will try to get the slim Ken twice. One to put on the Made to Move/Wheelchair Ken and one to put on the Broad Body. The Broad Ken is nice too. now i think i need him twice so one can donate his body ^^
i put barbie clothes in my packaging, then the next day i put my hand in it to get one out and the plastic wripped up the side so be carefull reaching in its not as tuff plastic as it looks
These afro-centric ken lips are too light . Kali storm got rid of those lighter lips and it looked better. Mattel should have made the lips a little darker.
Just interested in #162 and because of his regular body and a little bit of hair??......haha. Call me superficial....No comments about the "attires" at this stage.
I love these I actually got the Malibu 61 ken,the rock barbie as my first barbies but as my first doll it was the River kendall rainbow high doll also the Malibu 61 ken is suppose to be wonky well from my experience the bags are a great thing but I already have 6 bags but anyway I do feel like Malibu 61 ken is curvy or just curvy by the thighs as none of the ken pants fit him just the shirts fit.Also I know I was really late to the party as mattel went down in quality
