  • Paul shows his tricks to taking out the trash one-handed. Stroke survivors have challenges that many of us do not think about. Something as simple as taking out the trash requires thought and allowances made for deficits they have - such as paralysis. But many tasks can still be done, they just need to be done differently. For the first year after Paul's stroke, he did not do much to help with household chores. But around the one-year mark, he was less brain foggy and was able to walk so he started thinking about how he could do things (he was getting tired of sitting all day!). We hope this tip helps you think about how you can do things differently if you are a stroke survivor.
