Just built this kit yesterday…..I did love that most of it fit together very well. The metal cage was a new material for me to work with , but it looks great once you get it on.
Good video …I should have watched you before I started on the kit!!
    Thanks

Have one on my bench right now, about 2/3rds done. Adding some extras into it, mostly the driver's seat and the box behind it, and some hoses and cables round the undercarriage. Still pretty good for it's age, but then most Tamiya kits still are. There is a fair amount of video and photo help out there, so jazzing it up a bit is fairly easy to research.

This is a very nice kit, sometimes building a simpler model can be a nice change from the more complicated ones with lots of details. I had the Hobby Boss version of this, and it had the entire engine and interior. This one could be added to the Afrika diorama I am planning to build, with a Panzer III and Rommel's Mammut command vehicle. Thanks for the review 👍

Love this kit. It was the second Tamiya kit I ever bought aged 13 (usually out of my price range). My first was the US Harley Davidson Military Police set. This video is a real nostalgia trip, so I think it's time to buy this kit again.

Oldie but goodie. It has some issues, but also has room for improvements ^^ I want too add a full interior, but can't find a proper anti-slip surface.

Do what I'm doing. Just sheet plastic, and some gear round the sides and some mud on the floor.

This was the first armour kit I did [I think] when I started the hobby in lockdown. There is a mission in one of the Call of Duty games in North Africa where you, as British troops, commandeer one, so I got some suitable figures and used them with it to recreate that scene. Had great fun with it, but as a beginner, didn't really do it justice with weathering. Plan to have another crack at it. Was great using PE for the first time - a nice introduction. Cracking review as always J, totally fair I think. It's a great kit, but then I am far from a rivet-counter.

Hell yes i MADE THIS ONE BACK IN THE DAY IT CAME OUT. A true beauty and I remember doing the then plastic anti grenade cage on the top.

It does seem that most of those older kits are cheaper than newer ones, but the upgrades raise the price of this one. Since Tamiya leaves the original year of the kit on the sprues, they could put it on the box as well.

I think I built it in the late eighties.
