Thanks for this. I am working on a 2012 x3 with mevd172. It has a heavy misfire on cyl 4 and will not stay running but if the Valvetronic is unplugged the car runs without issues it will throw a Valvetronic disconnect code after a few key cycles I exhausted every idea now I guess Ill find another ecu clone it then open to see if the same problem exists.
Hi thanks for sharing, I have the same problem with my car, valvetronic not working. That's because I plug the wrong connectors on the ecu (two connectors that are the same). Did that happen to this ECU
Hi, for open that ecu without damage, need unsolder first all the capacitors ? and with heat ? or how to do? i need to repair this ecu having misfire in cilinder 1 and 6 , regards
@@autodiagobd How do you (take off, remove, etc) the white glue? I have taken out the black silicone and desolder the capacitors but still cant remove pcb.

yeah, disolder them with vacuum station
