it´s still a small business even tho she gets a lot of orders. Business that aren´t as big as Adidas and stuff like that are called small bussineses. Idk if you know Shekou, but even tho they have almost 250 thousand followers and they are famous they are still a small bussines.

This is awesome! When you go to the post office, have they ever been mad because of how many orders you bring in I always hear that they get irritated for mass amounts.
i was gonna get some cool clips of me dropping these off at the post office but my parents left without me 💆♀️ but i don’t think so, since we just throw everything in the bin and run away before they see us 💃🏻💃🏻usually i don’t go to the post office though, usps let’s you schedule pick ups so i just put the stuff i want to mail out in my mailbox (i used to just put everything on my front porch but mailman got mad abt that lmao) and they take it when they deliver stuff

yep i have a deeeep mailbox hahha but if it doesn’t fit you can also schedule the pickup for your front door!

I want to have a store like this but I can't draw to save my life lol. I wish someone would make a video series for those of us who want to start a shop. I mean like from the very beginning. It's so overwhelming. I think we've all watched all the videos on the equipment and stuff we need to start like sticker paper, a printer, etc. It's the products that overwhelm me! Like imagine you have zero products and have to start from there. The series would need to be doing all this on a very slim budget. I know eventually we would get to where we would know which products were selling good enough to have a bunch ordered like this, but in the very beginning when we haven't sold a single thing yet, then what? Like we need to make some shop stickers and thank you stickers and who knows what else. Like I said, it's just too overwhelming lol.

Hey, this might be a bit of a weird question but I am kinda curious about where you let your stickers be manufactured/ who your manufacturer is. I've seen many sticker shops produce their stickers in China and I'm always a bit hesitant about supporting that due to environmental but also ethical reasons.
Hope this question is not rude or insensitive. I'm really just curious.

she won’t disclose her manufacturer but recommends alibaba for bigger orders. also in her pinned comment she mentions a point about manufacturer
i also read through etsy’s policy and they say you have to disclose your production partner if you didn’t manufacture the items on your own. however the amount of information disclosed can be changed to private and only certain things will show up. but i believe on the item listing one should at least be able to see the descriptive title and location of the partner if the shop owner abided by legally compliant policy. you can read more at these links if you want to look into it.

as a young person who would be alive as problems with pollution become increasingly apparent, i do want to try my best to limit the amount of plastic. i had been reusing bubble wrap that came with stuff that manufacturers shipped to me, but my friend just had a random roll of bubble wrap that she was likely going to throw away one day bc most people don’t need a giant roll of bubble wrap, so she gave it to me and that’s what i use now. (i literally posted this on my ig story a couple months ago, carrying a roll of bubble wrap around the neighborhood so if you don’t believe me 👄 it’s in my story highlights, i’m sorry my friends are weird lol) the cardboard that i use to back everything is from boxes that i’ve collected from stuff i bought. i just cut the parts that aren’t like covered in dirt into the sizes of my sticker sheets.
everything in my sticker-only orders that i pack in envelopes is recyclable/biodegradable. i would love to reduce the amount of backing card stock/cardboard, but even with what i used in this video, a few of the orders got bent during shipping.
it’d be great to use no plastic for orders containing keychains/pins but at the same time i’m sure no one wants to receive broken products. before, i did not use any extra bubble wrap on the keychains and a customer ended up receiving it cracked down the middle. of course i cant say this is good for the environment since ultimately the bubble wrap will get thrown away, but i’m still working on this and hopefully one day i’ll find a more eco friendly way to package keychains and pins.
(i’m really sorry about anything you guys ordered that got damaged in the mail! i started this shop about 3 months ago so i’m still trying to figure things out. i’ve sent replacements for anyone who provided proof, so do contact me if it happens.)
i recognize that there was a lot of plastic in the package in the beginning of the video, but i can say that i save every single one of those plastic bags so i have a giant stash of them in my closet from the past couple of years LMAO. it sucks but again, the products are shipped to me from manufacturers and none of us want them to arrive damaged. the best i can do in this situation is to save the bags and reuse them for other things.
lastly, as a (normal?) human being, i obviously don’t want to spend money when i don’t have to. if there’s no need for me to use plastic, i wouldn’t waste my money on that. cardboard is fricking expensive too (if you want to look on like amazon, it’s like a tiny pack for 20 bucks) so i’d rather reuse than buy my own 🙏
i hope this doesn’t come off as me denying my responsibility. i totally understand that i have many places to improve on to potentially reduce the amount of waste. i’m still in the process of learning what works and what doesn’t, and for now i’m trying to make the most out of everything by saving & reusing things.

@@bethbrightman1326 well in the spirit of protecting the earth for future generations I'd rather use the printed lazercut wooden pin and keyring option or find different merchandise to sell. But hay it's not for me to judge how someone choses to run their business. I was just curious about how they felt on the subject.

Also I use Shopify for my website, they create it for me and I just print it. It’s really easy :) you do have to buy the shipping label but the customer pays for it
