    I do appreciate the simplicity of how your VERY clear about the specifics.
    I've been looking at RVs for *years* so I'm pretty familiar with the "lingo", but even with that. It's nice to see some few people (like you, who've been in the industry for a ling time) that can still speak VERY simply.
    I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates this.

    Thanks for another informative video Chuck. You do a great job of explaining everything so that customers who may not have experience with class 8 vehicles can learn, but also for those of us who have been in the transportation industry for our work, can see the newest technology available to us. My wife and I are just starting to plan our next phase of life, and plan on working with your group when we get ready to spec and purchase our rig.

I’m in the SF Bay Area (California) but I’ll be taking the quick nonstop on SWA out of OAK to Boise if that’s where you’re located (and if not, then I’ll figure something else out). 😁 I will be selling my house next year and moving into a new Super-C full time. Yup!!! I’m serious. Looking forward to meeting you up there and designing my new home! I’ve waited years to do this, now I have to be like a kid waiting for Christmas as if today is January 1st and it’s a whole year away. That’s okay, I can handle it. Hah hah! How much lead time do you recommend for me coming up for the very first time all through financing (although I might pay cash unless you guys really want the financing done through you like car dealerships do, doesn’t matter to me), designing, building, and delivery? Should I do it one year before I want the vehicle delivered? Or less time than that? Thanks in advance.

Remember, the biggest yachts in the harbor are the least used. I want to say to my wife, let’s go to “where ever” for the weekend and not make a big deal about planning, home care, or what ever.

    • @badgerpa9
      @badgerpa9 3 года назад +4

      The tandem is a drive axle the tag is not a drive axle, it does help support overall weight. The tag only steers at low parking lot speed usually. If the tag has a dump you can use that to turn in tighter circle also. The bus coach will have a tag also. If you knew this already sorry, most do not understand if the rear axle has an outy belly button it is a tag non drive axle.

    Marc

    • @c827q
      @c827q 3 года назад +1

      I'm just talking about the RV not the combined length of the RV & trailer. I believe that in order for the RV to be RVIA compliant they can't go over 45 feet overall. I know that Showhauler won't go over 45 because they stated that in a video and I doubt Renegade will either.

    • @badgerpa9
      @badgerpa9 3 года назад +3

      Check the federal regulations for vehicles and you cannot go over 45 feet on the chassis. Check your state it could have a shorter dimension for state roads. You can google the state and DOT laws and rules and pdf download them.

      My Texas RV license is a Class B, 26000 lbs or more GVWR, but no more than 9,999 tow GVWR.

    If you install a Cow-catcher bumper on your Freightliner how will you open the hood for service? Love to get a coach with the DD-13 engine!

      the deer guard (cattle catcher) is on a set of hinges so you can release the pins and it folds down out of the way of hood.. i have one on my freightliner semi.. no probs

    When towing these super Cs it seems to me that the overhang is very close to the ground as opposed to a box truck on the same chassis. How do they lift them without scraping?

      There is a towing channel in califoracate that has towed a couple super C and showed it, I do not remember the channel, search towing super c maybe.

    I prefer this freightliner than a class A rv. But still the safety in the back hasn't improved. Still is a death trap as any RV. Are the seats bolted down with seatbelts, etc. Safety while in motion is still not talked about nor improved upon. Another semi or any drunk driver can smash to the side and will pretty much kill anyone sitting in those couch or will send flying out.

    On your coaches with the diesel and the air brakes do you have to do a air brake test on them before you start driving to check the air pressure

      No a CDL is not required for most states. Only in Texas do you need a Non-CDL -A. Check with the state where you live.

      If you are asking about each time you start out on a trip yes you want to make sure the air gets up to pressure in the air tanks. If you do a good safety before you start on a trip you will be happier and save your self problems, it is a big rig. Depending on your state you license in would determine other factors.

      @@TonyBenton0728 In Oregon as long as it is registered as a Recreational Vehicle and not used for hire you can drive it with a normal class C license, no endorsements required.
