You see it used with announcements (z.B.: Bitte einsteigen und die Türen schließen); on signs (z.B.: Hunde sind vom Rasen fernzuhalten); formal commands (z.B.: Aufmachen! Open up!); or recipes (z.B. Gurken in dickere Scheiben schneiden). I assume you would never use this form of the imperative in conversation. Correct?

hello jenny !! thank you so mush for your efforts ...i would like you to help me because my brain is tired and went off .. i understand the german dative verbs and also the accusative ...but there is this verbs that come with the dative and the accusative case in the same time , which i cant ubderstand not only how to use them but also i dont know how to recognize them like the verb "sagen and mitteilen " and i cant even find a good list on the internet that helps me ..i only found about 12 verbs but its not enough because there is many of them ...what should i do ??? i cant speak because of this ordeal ..i hope you give something that makes me happy ....thank you for your time

Merken Sie dass zu ist einen Dativ Präpositionen und nach zu wir benutzen das Artikel dem zu+dem zum.
