I need a hug from Benison right now ☹️ he’s such an amazing guy! The world needs more people like him.
I have always loved Benison's personality. He seems such a sweet heart. A podcast may be his niche. Good job my guy!
Nicole your grandfather sounds like an incredible human being
benison seems like just the sweetest human
PETITION TO HAVE PLACHY IN A TRY NOT TO EAT EPISODE📣
Done!
lol that was easy
He was invited to be on it a few podcasts ago.
kimchi kimbap is good
Benison does look like he has nothing but positive vibes and is easy going type guy so I bet he does have a healing touch to his hugs.
Benison is one of my favorite React personality on the channel.
I have always thought this, but Benison looks like he is such a safe space. I love any video he is in he meshes with any reactor he is with, I love him so much.
yes!!!!
Need more of these!!! Maybe add different Asian casts members on as guests. Would love to see Vietnamese, Filipino, Malaysian, Taiwanese, etc foods!
This is awesome, lot of history and personal memories
This was so educational. I really enjoyed it.
Bennison needs to come back and just swap stories. He has such a positive personality but too much time in this episode was focused on the food to let his glory shine.
It seems that there's an overwhelming opinion that we could all use a Benison hug. I agree! There isn't a person on the planet who wouldn't benefit from a Benison hug! The same goes for both Izzys, Jayse, Jaime and Martine. They all seem like such good spirited, kind people but especially Beni. Dude is just amazing! And sometimes, the right hug can just make the world a little brighter.
i mean, unless someone there comes from a middle eastern background....
The Caucasus is a linguistically, culturally and geographically diverse region. The nation states that compose the Caucasus today are the post-Soviet states Georgia (including Adjara and Abkhazia), Azerbaijan (including Nakhchivan), Armenia, and the Russian Federation.
With that said, i love these shows.
Exactly. This right here. I have "fun" explaining this to folks when the convo comes up. Most of the people we call Caucasian are in fact not. Its interesting the reason why, for lack of a better term, "white people" are called Caucasian is because the person who coined it had a fetish for Caucasian women and people. He considered them the most beautiful and stuff and highest of the high so therefore "white people" aka Western Europeans and the like had to descend from them because it jived with the brand of elitism and racism at the time. Funny enough true Caucasians weren't really considered "white" till way more recent then folks realize. When the numbers needed to be boosted for the census all of a sudden Mediterranean, true Caucasian, Slavs, and Middle Eastern people got considered "white". The guy who came up that use Caucasian is Christoph Meiners. There was also another guy named Johann Friedrich Blumenbach.
Being a Montana boy myself, there's been a few times (not all the time) I've had huckleberry lemonade, and it's really good!
fun fact missed: kimbap is a variation of sushi that catered to the monks as there was a huge buddhist movement in korea. the options used were veggie friendly as monks are vegans. side dishes called banchan came to creation from buddhist influence as well
At 13:00 Nicole should have finished the quote from Finding Nemo “Fish are friends, not food”. 😂
Great video. I always love mukbang talk shows. I'm surprised Nicole didn't bring soju. LOL
Next time!
love this episode
I just want to say I love that u post these at about 6 am pacific, cause I live in the Midwest so it is perfect for the drive to work and the first bit of my shift ❤❤
I haven't missed an episode because I love it
Same here!
Great cast choice! First podcast I have watched whole way through
Great episode! Love you all! Thanks for the giggles!
My favorite podcast so far...I want to eat everything that was on the show except the natto. :D
Love the podcast...Please keep going
I love this concept so much and I love that Nicole has a sushi looking necklace it's just so cute
This was a great ep 💞. Looked like all really good food, so jealous
A dessert I've tried (and made) was the Japanese Christmas Cake. We had missionaries serving over there visit our church and I made a gluten free version. It was delicious and I even learned the Japanese name. They told me it was very close to tasting like the traditional version.
Love learning about these cultures and foods. Beni is ADORABLE😍
Awesome Episode.
Loved this episode!! Plachy for Try Not To Eat and more of food stuff xx
React podcasts are soooo healing to listen to ❤❤❤
Wow love it❤❤❤
I know everyone from react channels. But I prefer this format. It is so f*cking sincere. I love it. Keep putting these out.
Red Bean Mochi is the best snack food I've ever had! There's no comparison for me
I’d love a hug from Benison 😊☺️
This was the best episode ❤❤❤
Shogun was an amazing show. I lived in Asiia for many years and I really miss real Asian food. Great podcast guys. 💯
I'm so happy that Kevin is so happy this episode
a hug from benny would cure my mental illness
Man!!! I need a friend like Benny!
you guys should try Hmong food. There is a big Hmong population in California, and it would be cool to here you tell people about Hmong culture and how Hmong people ended up in the states. both here and People vs Food. Papaya salad, stuffed chicken wings, Kapoon, Larb, Nava. There are SO many great foods.
The brown sauce (Bulldog sauce) is tonkatsu sauce. It is sweet and savory with a worcestershire sauce flavor.
In Hawaii, we use this sauce commonly mixed with ketchup or other enhancements as a dipping sauce for chicken katsu.
@reactcastofficial Placky, the Hawaiian food you mentioned maybe chicken katsu (not loco moco).
I just have to say i absolutely love EVERYONE in this pod. Idk it really warms my heart to watch and listen to this pod specifically because they people in it are generally Good people. Which makes me want to continue watching. Benison is sucha a sweetheart, Joe to me is like a non perverted cool dude, Nicole is just adorable and clean. Podcaster is a qt pie. That’s all I gotta say I just love you guys, keep up the good work ❤❤.
Are you kidding, biscuits an gravy, shrimp & grits, brussels sprout sliders, buffalo wings, fried chicken, stuffing, and cranberry sauce.
I love this episode..I love they bring up Hawaii because yes we grew up on alot of these foods 💜💜💜💜
Joe is right! When Plachy came into camera, I was like DAMN….dude got gains. I remember when he was a string bean
I appreciate that the chewing noises weren't as bad as i was anticipating
Benison hug tour sounds sick
Love this episode ❤
Next would be Southeast Asians. Thai, Filipino and Viet foods.
how i wish they feature an entire food from filipino fiesta...cause its an assortment of food that has lechon as the centre piece
I would pay for the hug sounds amazing
Nicole is amazeballs! Her blings are always on point, sushi roll for a pendant
Love y'all 😊
I want a hug from Benison! 😢
Joe should get those training chopsticks where there is a spring in between the two sticks to help you practice.
Elastic around the ends help
As a lifer-Hanson fan going to South Korea (and Japan!) later this year I will absolutely be singing Kimbap the tune of MMMBop whenever I eat it
Awwww now i need a beni hug in my life! Anthony make him do the hug tour haha 💖
Benison is such a king and can we get Anthony on a episode of react bullseye or People vs food?
Joe was spot on. I'm cajun and the history with our food is wonderful.
Chazuke is a simple yet comforting dish. Not sure about the “eating on holidays”. Can eat any day of the year😅
I'm with Joe on the texture thing. Even having had south and east Asian foods most of my life I won't eat certain foods due to the texture. Natto has the added factors of the smell and partially due to the fact that I don't like most fermented foods, except Vegemite.
Joe pulling a Sharen 😂😂😂
Favorite dishes from SE Asia:
Philippines: Pancit Palabok, Kare-kare
Indonesia: Lawar, Bubur/Bubuh Bali
Thailand: Pad Kaprao, Boat Noodles
Burma (I do not refer to the country by its junta name): Laphet Thoke, Mohinga
Laos: Som Tam, Jaew sauce with sticky rice
I would love to try Okomiyaki! Every time I see it, it looks so good!
Huckleberry FTW - on a visit to Missoula Montana I had Huckleberry ice cream, it was really good!
This was fun, NOTHING id eat but fun to watch 😂
I’m half polish and I would really love for you all try the cannibal sandwhich. A very specific and safe Raw beef on marble rye bread and sliced vadalia/sweet onions.
@@marydavis5234 Did you say something, miss Nobody? I guess it was the wind.
Joe is so right about Asian cinema. I more recently watched all the Ju-on (The Grudge) movies, and there's a lot of going back and forth in the movies' timeline of events. I really enjoyed all of them because of that, but that's probably because I have a writer's brain. Something that's different narratively I tend to really like.
Love the show, watched it with my family, the Korean blood sausage. Is similar to Haggis.scotish blood sausage ❤❤❤❤
The shots of Plachy eating 😂 29:03
I remember years back now in a PvF episode with the kids they had them try natto and none of them liked it.
you're talking about Shogun, I've not seen the new one, I loved the original one from 1980 with Richard Chamberlain and Toshiro Mifune playing the main leads. Absolutely stunng from that time, it got me on to the books by James Clavell, which are fantastic
Where did you get the hotteok from? Love fresh made hotteok! 😋
They live in Los Angeles, there are a lot of Asian restaurants.
A giggly, good hearted hug from Nicole would be just what the doctor ordered as well! Unless she turns it into a try not to hug challenge where the punishment would be a good swift kick in the butt! 😂
Naaah, worth it. Bring on the hug
I love nattou! It's best mixed with rice.
And it's cute how Nicole pronounces okonomiyaki.
I love shows like this. I can't eat sushi (doctor's orders), but the Korean sushi (can't remember the spelling) sounded good. Especially with Bulgogi. I love that stuff from a local place.
wait this PVF episode they mentioned in the Hotteok section... where is it? haha
ruclips.net/video/RJmSvbTJcwA/видео.html 💚
I just noticed Nicole's necklace! Is that supposed to be a sushi wrap necklace?
Yea, it has to be
Yep!
I would dream to be hugged by Benison 😭❤️ (the ending)
crying about Nicole's mochi memory 🥲
Nicole and Benison should have taken this opportunity to show Joe how to use the chopsticks. Would have helped some of the viewers also. My bad...I made this comment before watching the end of the video. I guess I could just simply delete this comment altogether, but nah, I'll just own it.
Joe seems like my friend who doesn't like anything vinegary. Like pickles, anything pickled, any cold salads (which usually have vinegar in them), wine etc. I was wondering why he doesn't like potato salad, but it's vinegary, so it made sense. Nothing wrong with it anyway, I have a problem with slimy textured foods :)
This is making me really hungry for Asian food now!
Haha omg joe wit the chopsticks..just like me 😂😂😂😂
Vienna sausages, casseroles, pork rinds, boiled peanuts, fried apple pie with hoop cheese on top, biscuits and gravy, sh!t on a shingle, etc
Dude, I am about to scour Uber Eats and see if I can find somewhere that has these Asian dishes❤ I know I’ve had mochi before because I used to go to anime conventions all the time and I’ve even gotten those snack boxes from like Tokyo treat
Nicole!! Straight forward... "Yea they ferment them!"
I'd like to give a name to Joe's theme song this week: The Asian Persuasion.
shogun the mini series was good too 80's
Joe is starting to look like hacksaw Jim Duggan
I love kimbop, my family is Korean (I'm only a 3rd but my grandma is 100%) and my grandma and mom would make kimbop all the time but as kids we all called it roll-up-rice 😂 and it had spam, egg, and yellow pickle only and as i got older, I would ask her to make me some and I would go pick it up and bring it home and those things would be gone in one sitting....so addictive 😅....I love spam and yellow pickle
From Hawaii: ochazuke was eaten as a late night snack. An old man told me a story about his son that went to the Maineland for med school. He called his dad saying that he made ochazuke and it tasted different in the Maineland. Found out he used Lipton tea instead of green tea.😂
The main difference between kimbap and sushi is that sushi usually uses vinegar rice while kimbap is usually plain rice.
My mother used to make us okonomiyaki as a late night snack and she usually used shredded cabbage with worcestershire sauce on top.
1:51 Joe is having flashbacks of the KFC Double Down
I've had an ice cream mochi at a Kobe's we have in my city. It was the first time I'd had one. It was mango flavored and I thought it was really good!
I, as a german, knew what Soondae was by just looking at it.... Not a huge fan of the german version, "Blutwurst" when it is raw, but cooked, there is a dish I absolutely love: "Himmel und Äärd" .... Heaven and Earth... Bloodsausage, mashed potatoes and roasted onions.... may work with sooondae too...
Himmel und Äärd, Tell me more cause it sounds delicious.
I am late watching this, but I've got the strawberry ice cream mochi in my freezer. It was weird when it got half melted.
i love Japanese food and i definitely need to try Korean foood
And Benison has a voice for a podcast
So is the brown sauce like UK sauce which is a condiment like tomato sauce and we have a blood sausage made with blood and oats and fried and it does not taste like blood
I just came back from Japan. I took a cooking class to learn how to make okonomiyaki because it is my favourite, but so hard to find here.
