Yup. The best ideas sound simple in hindsight. The basic premise and structure of the sketch do a lot of the lifting. That is why a lot of improv. comedy training involves "games." Throw most competent improv or sketch comedians into it and it'll be funny. Competent as in: Friday and Saturday night regulars at major hubs, like NY/LA/Chicago.

This is by far my favorite SNL sketch ever! And I am talking about about 40 years of watching. It's spot on if you research any paranormal stuff. As usual SNL takes a horrific controversial topic and puts perfect comedic spin on it. Ryan keeps losing it which made me lose it lol😅😅😅
The first time I ever saw the original skit, when she gets to the line where she says "they start gently battin' my knockers around", I remember laughing so hard I couldn't even breathe. I thought I was going to die in my living room! Tears streaming down my face. Kate McKinnon is easily one of the most hilarious, talented, and iconic cast members to ever take part in SNL. She'll be remembered just like Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, Molly Shannon, Cheri O'Teri, etc. Right up there with the greatest of the greats. I miss you, Kate!
