Great job with that bell John, can't believe I missed this video by a few days. Have check my notifications again to see if they changed. 1 trick I have used for drilling holes in temperamental wood is to use CA glue( thin super glue) to add strength to the wood make it a little easier to drill those thru hole for line a bit simpler. Not sure if it will show when varnish it but it is a way to deal with it. It is better than putting it in a vise and hope it comes out like it should. I do the same thing with the peg holes for the lines too. For me it is simpler but a lot longer process. Can't wait to see the finished parts for the deck .
If its possible I use the bench drill, because the chance of bending the drill is much higher with my handdrill. Also I have a better concentricity because of the better chunk in the bench drill.
It’s coming on lovely John thanks my dog looks lovely stay safe mate 🐕🐕👍
She is looking gorgeous George!!! I will thank Wolf for you! Stay safe my friend!!!
It still amazes me that these ships actually used to exist!

More nice work, John. Also good to see how you recover from those inevitable little "oopses" that happen.
Thank you very much Michael!!!
I'm glad to see that I am not the only person who has to find small parts on the floor.
@@pauloakley2052 Under the bench there must be a lot of small parts, i am sure :)
The thing in the bell that makes it ring is called the Clapper

I do not have a bench drill so i did the work by hand drill.
