Nice work, John...it's coming along wonderfully!
Thank you very much Michael!!!
Good morning John 🌞 you are making good job! The stern is the most beautiful part of the ship. Excelente video 👏
Good morning Thanasis!!! Thank you very much!!! :)
Hi John it’s looking lovely 👍🐕🐕 great job 🙏
Thank you very much my friend!!!
Hi John, If I may suggest, Use wax paper on the back side of the windows. Do not paint them.
The wax paper is opaque and cannot be seen through however it will allow the light from the
L.E.D.'s to provide a warm glow through the paper. Try it, see what you think. If you don't like
it you can always change it. Just an idea. Great job so far. I really enjoy watching a Master at
work. Say hi to wolf for me. Bill G Linwood Kansas USA
Thank you very much Bill for your kind words!!! Thank you for the idea!!! The only problem is that i have placed the stern piece already in the ship... The videos are being filmed a couple of weeks before the present. I will try it in the next model that i will get the chance :) Wolf is next to me now and by the looks he is smiling :)
Hi John I am just about to start building the Montanes and I have watched all your videos , hope there more episodes to come , your doing a great job and your English is excellent if you don't mind me saying 👍👍👍
Thank you very much for your kind words Darren!!! Yes there's more to come, enjoy your build :)
John, your.free hand painting skills are on point, mine would not be as good , I know that. How much harder do you think it would be to tape and spray paint this part? I know the tape job would be involved but what do you think? I know you don't have a sprayer but I do that is why I ask.
Thank you my friend! It would be very hard to tape all that area, too much time and you won't get the appropriate result because you do not have straight lines anywhere over that piece.
สวยมากครับ
Thank you very much!!!
what you can do, is carf in the "rope" lines in with a knife, and paint it all black, then sand/polish black paint of and it should only be in the lines you carved in. or use a black gel fineliner pen and a ruler to make the "rope" lines for clean lines.
I think i'm going to do the carf lines with a knife method my self, to give it a bit of 3d look
Yes that's a good idea, it is very hard to carve the metal without damaging it. I have done it with simple paint job, i explain how in the next video but if you do it like you said i would be interested to see the result.
