We did this journey from Chitrakote to Kanger valley which is around 55 km, This tour is about South Chhattisgarh Bastar district.
Tour dates - Last week of feb to first week of march.. To be precise, we started from Raipur on 26th feb and reached back Raipur after Bastar tour on 4th march 2022
We visited the Kanger Valley national park - Jeep charges with 6 passenger Rs 1500, which takes about 2 hours of time. In which you will get to see the Kanger Dhara & Kotumsar cave.
During 16th June to 31st Oct kanger valley is closed for tourists.
In Kotumsar cave you will get to see the natural rock formations of stalagmite & stalactite.
We had lunch near Tirathgarh falls - Chawal Bhaja, Laal Saag, Dal, Chapda Chutney (Red ant chutney) Rakhiya badi, Dona purga (Chicken prepared in leafs) Dhaba owner Danku Bhai 9399218042
Tirathgarh Falls - To reach the falls you need to walk downwards around 150 stairs. Height of this falls is around 300 feet. During monsoon you would see the giant view of this falls. There are 3 levels. It is must visit place if you are visiting chitrakote falls, you must come here as well. It is located on munga bahar river.
Sanjivani forest shop at Sanjay Market in Jagdalpur - We had purchased Forest Honey 500 gm - Rs 260, Sittopladi - Rs 85, Sardi Khansi nashak Churan - Rs 65 & Chawanprash 500 gm - Rs 245, Mahua cookies - Rs 60
We also visited a handicraft shop in jagdalpur, which has wide variety of dokra artwork, wrought iron.
After that we saw a chariot which is used during Bastar dussehra festival near maa danteshwari temple.

Thanks Harish ji. Chhatisgarh share boundary with Malkangiri dist. Of Odisha. All most similar with Malkangiri traditions and food culture. I belongs to Malkangiri dist. Tendu is Kendu(leaf for bidi making), madhiya a tribal drinking food, Dandak is DANDAKAranya( Dandaka+Aranya), Red ant is chappda. You have try the local food culture that was. Oh God, finally aapne red ants ki chutney try kar li. Bastar and whole of adivasi people eat it. I was born in Rourkela because of which I have heard about all these things. I, being strict vegetarian, was very conscious not to eat food at any of our friends house. My friends used come to my place to eat but we never ate at theirs.
The food was so tempting.. my next to go destination when I come to India next time.

Harish ji excellent Vlog, we people who live in metro cities keep looking for healthy food, low fat, low carb, but see how beautifully the smaller places have preserved the old eating habits which are tasty as well as nutritious. just wish and pray to god that these locals do not get corrupted by butter/cheese/mayonnaise. all the best Harish ji.
I am not much for caves because I easily get claustrophobic. But those waterfalls are extraordinary! Such beauty! The food also looks interesting. I would want to try all of it - even the red ant chutney!

I'm fairly sure Sir that those rocks have not been cut due to the water flow. More likely that millions of years ago, this was probably a sea bed, or some such, on which layers of deposits were made and the lower layers hardened due to the pressure from the layers above it. Multiple such layers are also formed due to successive lava flows, I believe. I also wouldn't be surprised to learn that if these layers were studied further they would most likely yield fossilized remains of creatures from that time. Anyways, I hope there is some study done in this regard. This series has been quite the eye-opener about Chattisgarh and Bastar and the simplicity of the folks is so endearing. I'm adding this to my (ever-growing) bucket list. Thanx for bringing all these places and peoples to us. Appreciate the effort as always and super job by the team, of course.

Araku sileru, Paderu, Chintapalli, Lambasingh then move to Annavaram temple then East Godavari Konaseema region.
