This reaction was GOLD. So many people neglect to check out her recent vocals and assume she still sounds like she did 4-5 years ago, but she really is in a new prime. She's NEVER had so much ease.
He really gave her the perfect title in addition to "Voice of her generation": *THE Vocal Savage!* 🔥✨🔥 Christina is definitely a Soprano at her core. Not only does her head voice display that but her chest voice/mixed voice shows that as well: Her ability to constantly belt in the 5th octave, especially considering that she uses such a chest dominant mix makes it clear. It seems like her voice is at it's best in casual environments eg. sitting down with James Corden, tour (when she's surrounded by true fans). Quite a rare Light Lyric Soprano though; in the sense that most light Soprano voices are quite delicate, so to see that she's getting better in such a dramastic 😏 way after all the strain throughout the decades, is astonishing & spectacular.
I would say she is a lyric soprano. Her voice is darkened by her lower larynx but Ariana lowering her larynx wouldnt possibly give her the same volume and depth and Christina. Christina's voice is feminine, but not like on Genie in a Bottle.

It really feels like she knows her voice in and out within this era, cause from the tone, the runs, the intentional distortion and/or clarity, the vibrato, etc. she is thriving vocally. I'm super happy for her!
This is her best era vocally. Warm, controlled, and powerful vocals. 2 and a half years ago we were sure christina was over as a singer and that she wouldn't released any other strong album. There she is. An amazing tour, and Liberation doesn't need to be described.

Rhi-Rhi Cook she lipped ANOM most nights on tour, she lipped most of the candyman high notes, lipped most of her hurt performances, lipped all but one slow down baby performance. She lipped Welcome on tour. She lipped a LOT.
She really has improved A LOT of her live vocals on so many of her songs for the Liberation tour, her vegas residency, and the X Tour. It's most evident with her performance of The Voice Within this past week, which is really hard to sing and she scraps often from her setlist.
It's one of her best and most impressive vocal eras. I'm amazed at how fantastic she's sounding and the great condition her voice is in. This tour and residency is working miracles for her with the constant vocal practice and warm ups. Christina Aguilera is far from over.

People forget that Christina was always exceptionally gifted. BUT she's been a professional vocalist since she was a child. It's the only job she's ever had and as an artist her career has solely been about her voice. This woman has been getting up there with her mic ON since she was a child, consistently...for 30 plus years. She's the real deal. People can say she "screams" BUT her voice is still in pristine condition through out her entire range. She can sing her hits better now than ever. She doesn't have to lipsync or get help. Christina Maria Aguilera does this sh*t for real.
+ It's not rocket science guys. I've always noticed that Christina sounds and is at her best, while she is touring. Why? Quite simply because you are working those muscles and the voice EVERY SINGLE DAY, FOR UP TO 2 HOURS A DAY, WHILE ON TOUR. And the more you continuously do something hard, the better you get at it. Let us not forget that Christina hasn't been touring for over a decade. So now that she is literally putting that voice to work, she is reaping the benefits.

@JustTheVoice it has something to do with nerves because when she is performing in front of a thousand fans she gets nervous especially on live tv so when she is just singing in the car in front of just a few people she actually is less nervous thats all that it is its just nerves
You def need to check out her vocals from the Mexican leg og her tour where she took on her Spanish songs after 20yrs and slayed the hell out of them. Christina seriously ain't playing this time around and proving why she's the voice to beat till this date!

I really do think in 2018 she was nervous. New album out after so long, haven’t been on tour for 10 years hit with her confidence. And after the tour started she got more confident every night and with that her voice changed. She’s where she belongs and she knows that now.

2000-2010 = Her absolute prime 2011-2015 = Shaky performances 2016-2020 = She's been getting progressively better - and this tour she has been surprising me with the notes she's hitting. She reminds me of how Whitney got a bit of her voice back in 2004 and then again for a little bit in 2009 in a few performances.
