Novice or not, it do is a fantastic work. I've seen a few other AMVs of you, they are not as good as this one but they are still good. The work quallity is more than just above average so i see a good future for you in editing. One thing you might wish to try, use more musics of this caliber. I see you use a lot of metal and that is fine, but less maleable for this kind of content. Try more rock/hard rock as sound for AMVs and you will probably get this quallity more often. One very good series to get great meterial for AMVs right now is Trinity Seven, not as silly as twintails, but somewhat silly and some great combat scenes. Add some rock to it, the kind that gets blood pumping and I'm sure with your editing skills it will be amasing.

Well, normally the others channels that make good amvs take about weeks to months to post their videos, but always do a good job, but i try something different, i don't like to let my channel be without any amvs for too long, so i made some simple amvs like the ones you saw and then i try hard on a good one like this, i think this formula works well. Of course, the problem is more with to find the musics than to make this kind of amvs and well, i'm more used to make action paced amvs, but i'm trying to vary because i like to work in this kind of video, or then with amvs like the one of Madoka Magica i made. Trying to stay away from the musics that are used in all AMVs and then some I can think of 2 good musics, one is rock, another is power metal and I think both would work pretty well for Trinity Seven, of course depending on the music you'll have to theme the scenes acordingly. One choice is Skid Row - Youth Gone Wild. Not as fast paced as I'd like but still pretty good to pull much of the good combat scenes. Another choice could be Sonata Arctica - My Selene. This one is actually faster paced than the previous one but with the lyrics it would probably take best to a darker background so more of the desperatee times. Remembering hijiri, transforming into the demon lord, that sort of stuff. Hope this helps.
I haven't watched anime in 4 years, and when I heard about Twin Tail, I couldn't resist. It's absolutely incredible! Great job on the AMV
