Typically something you would NOT want to do if you are just doing a standard bike wash, but if you are just about to do a complete clean and full rebuild it's fine. The concern would be in washing away the grease/lube from all the bearings (Pivots, hubs, headset, etc.) which you definitely do not want to do, but since Marshy is about to pull apart, clean, re-lube and re-grease every single moving part, it's all OK👍
worldclass vid of a worldclass bike of a worldclass rider and his worldclass mechanic ;) Thx! I couldn't see which WD40 lube has been used for the bearings and some of the axles. Can anybody help me out? Thx 🤙
@@wd-40bike79 What's the benefit of using a chain lube instead of bearing grease? He's using chain lube for wheels' bearing and grease for headset bearing!

No issue it’s preference - metallic it works better when it’s hot and heated up it lasts longer but wears the rotor more - resin works better cooler lasts less and doesn’t wear the rotors much
Alexander Jendreck Greg came from motocross. That’s what he used to do there. Every time he wasn’t able to decide which one to use Marshy would put a combination of metal and resin.
From 4:54, are the spokes retightened without a tensiometer? And not in a truing stand? From 17:03 onwards, is this how the lateral movement is checked? I'm disappointed, I wouldn't have thought this of such a team.
Wow what an honor to watch the Goat and his mech work on the bike, which I am surprised weighs in at 39.5 lbs
Congratulations for the 2021
Congratulations Greg on the outstanding race in Portugal!

Nice Video!! God Job!!
I thought every mechanic hates those high pressure washes

I was asking me the same question. At 2:55 I think I see WD Bike wet lube
@@marcod6773 I also tried to recognise which lube it is. But wet and dry lube look the same. I couldn't read it properly.
Yes guys, its Bike *wet* Lube
🤟🤘👍
What kind of lube is that? The one that you were using for the hub bearings.
It's the WD-40 Specialist® Bike Wet Chain Lube
@@wd-40bike79 What's the benefit of using a chain lube instead of bearing grease?
He's using chain lube for wheels' bearing and grease for headset bearing!
@@frenzgraph Chain lube makes the hub noisier, more friction. More grease = softer hub.
Always wondering
What's the thing underneath the screws of the rotor is, or at least why its there🙃
they are washers for two screws at a time, so they don't bind to the rotor by heat
@@gogovitch66 did he using 203mm front and rear?

what´s that air cap on fork? llli?
How often does he do this kind of rebuild? After every race weekend?
How long is the total time it takes him to do all that?
isso que é bike topp
But how do you remove plastic shock cover????
Why did marsh leave or get replaced?
Is that axs?
Hey Endeavour. No, it's not Sram AXS but a Shimano Saint drivetrain ;).

what kind of tire pressure gauge is being used.
looks like Topeak.
V10💘💞🔥💪✊✌
Wheres the Goldwing with the bike tools
what’s the front tyre pressure?
They get inflated to 3 bar / 45PSI and let them sit with that pressure as long as possible. The final pressure is set right before the run.

Good bye bearings...
Nah he opened and regreased them after, so it's all right
No le veo muy fino a este mecánico 😁 Y será un crack, pero hay detalles en el montaje que no son muy profesionales🤦🏻♂️
