This is my favorite floorless coaster in the US so far. I love that first slow heartline roll (It even takes your picture upside down) and I love how the drop dives into the rocks below. It feels insane. Also the inversions are all super good.
+Ralphoizzer The track needs a paint job badly though! Steel Force and Talon look SO much better since they were repainted. I thought they'd paint Hydra for it's tenth birthday this year, but no.
***** You really think it's THAT bad?? It's not the best B&M Floorless I've ever ridden but it's still a good ride. If there's a ride they should get rid of it's Stinger, I can't believe they got rid of Laser for that. Laser wasn't the greatest ride but it was old and had character, not to mention it was pretty popular.
Laser was a cool, unique ride. And it still had 2 inversions, two helixes, and a fun drop. Way better than an inverted version of a vekoma boomerang that's always breaking down.
Because of the color scheme on both the tracks, supports, and even trains, it's like Raptor from Cedar Point tranforms from an inverted coaster to a floorless. 🙃
I noticed that three coasters at this park have a similar to identical paint scheme to coasters at other Cedar Fair parks. This and Raptor have the same color scheme, Talon and Behemoth have the same color scheme, and Steel Force and Mamba have eerily similar color schemes AND similar layouts!
I remember when I went one year, a train got stuck on the brake run back in Summer 2010 not long after I arrived. The ride was closed the rest of the day :(
I don't understand why B&M is not using lap-bars on this ride or other inversion rides. The lap-bar gives you much more freedom. These over the shoulders restrains give me the feeling I can't move or see a thing.
i went on this at night when no one else was on it but me and my friend it was horrifying but fun and felt like i was going to a different universe it was so weird
It's a one off cobra roll. This ride in general is very unique in layout and elements. 7 in all which is only 1 less than tying most inversions in America.
@@kaiserrex9506 no, just, no. You dont even remember, talon has a loop, in line twist, immelman, 1 corkscrew. 4 inversions. Hydra has 6, 7 if you count the really over banked 1st turn.

Love the color scheme even it's so simple. THOUGH it isn't a large ride, it's real fun. LOVE THESE OFF RIDE VIDS 💪💪

mhtube01 when I rode this it was just forceless boring and rattly, didn't enjoy it
I love that it looks like a big cartoon caterpillar
I'm Sleep lol facts
One of my favorites!
Cool off ride video of Hydra! Fun floorless coaster! :)
***** I look forward to riding it later this summer...
Hail Hydra!
Soms Gaming I prefer Talon
+Cazz d'Ivoire Well someone didn't get the joke.

This was my favorite ride there! I went yesterday it was amazing!

If you took Raptor's trains and un-inverted them they would look just like these.
True never noticed that lol

Wellll cedar fair does own dorney soooooo lol
Man this ride was so much fun
So the question everyone always asks. Is that first turn a loop the answer is (YES). At 5:06 it’s clearly a dive loop so this ride has 8 inversions.
7 if you include the "dive loop" 1st turn. Jo-jo roll, "dive loop", heartline roll, corkscrew, cobra roll, corkscrew.
Color scheme similarities
Hydra The Revenge - Raptor CP
Talon Grip of Fear - Behemoth Canada’s Wonderland
Steel Force - Mamba Worlds of fun
looks like a great ride to ride on 👍
Not the fastest or tallest but was always one of my favs

I went on this and it was scary but amazing
I've never seen a roller coaster do a corkscrew first. Odd.
+The Dilophosaurus They call that a Jo-Jo roll, this is the only ride I've seen it on and it is very unique. Gives you some serious hangtime for sure!
it's called a barrel roll but at the beginning they call it a Jo Jo roll so no matter what it's not a corkscrew.
How many feet is the lifthill for hydra?
90 feet
@@vincentferrante8238 Thanks appreciate it
QUESTION : I am about 6 foot 5 and weigh about 215 lbs. Would I be too much of a tight squeeze on this ride?
not really and if you dont believe me there are chairs that let you see uf you fit
Why does it have the same exact colors as Raptor at cedar point tho
Philadelphia Chan Brothers
Scariest ride I've been on because of the first element!!!!

+cantforgetyou Because the laterals could be dangerous with no upper body support.
Is it bad I prefer over the shoulder restraints as oposed to lap bars on rides and roller coasters?
+Solar-E -Clips same I feel more protected
it would kill you
IMO over the shoulder restraints feel more better and more secure to me, but each to their own.
looks really fun
Dalilah Gutierrez 'ki
Oh it is
Is this coaster intense?
***** ok
+Blackhawk Gaming good for my first roller coaster?
+Alexandra Pagan I'd say it's good for a first (inverting) coaster.
Yes
That cobra roll looks so weird
It's one of a kind. Just like this whole ride
It's kind of funny how you've got rollercoasters named Hydra, Possessed and Stinger
Dorney park is better for water rides to me
There’s nothing like experiencing that jo jo roll for the first time. You get hella hangtime on this. But don’t ride in the middle.
United States FIFA World Cup 2022
i went on this at night when no one else was on it but me and my friend it was horrifying but fun and felt like i was going to a different universe it was so weird
Kaila Foirmentez 8 I'm going there tomorrow any ride recommendations
what is that clicking noise on the cobra roll?
Not a Freak Just a Coaster Geek it's people playing with the seat belt
ive been on both. Both of them are not scary
q++7qq
that cobra roll looks very odd
Christian Carter it’s called a Jojo role.
@@zionv2163 wrong inversion
3 years late but yeah, that cobra roll is very unique
I think because this ride was made in such a tight and compact lot it had to be made that way
It's a one off cobra roll. This ride in general is very unique in layout and elements. 7 in all which is only 1 less than tying most inversions in America.
this is literally the color scheme of raptor at cedar point
Tbh Talon is scarier than Hydra
How scary like stomach scary
+fashionbeauty4life 2 or 3 loops I think with a lot of corkscrews
@@kaiserrex9506 no, just, no. You dont even remember, talon has a loop, in line twist, immelman, 1 corkscrew. 4 inversions.

l have been on this ride befor
That looks like raptor at cedar point
Sou louco pra ir nessa montanha russa
Looks a lot like raptor to me
Wider roller coaster
Is it me or this ride almost a copy of Bizarro minus the loop?
Pretty much, they're both made by b&m
Naw, this one has a straight drop instead of a turn drop, and the cobra roll is taller on bizarro
And bizzaro doesn't have a heart line roll at the start
This is nothing like bizzaro. Only thing they have in common is b&m made them.
I love dorney park but never get on possed it is tarrafing be warned
niki baker I went on it wasn't that bad it was very fun!
Nequila Baker *possessed *terrifying
It would definitely be a one of my favorites if it didn;t have that rattle
