Edit again aha: he really liked watching shin suffer and yea but i dont think we know the whole backstory yet since shin seems pretty traumatised by him but everything doesnt seem to be at a traumatising level but idk just a guess aha

Imo i think he also adopted that manipulative behavior due to his past friendship with Midori. Often abuse victims adopt similar traits to thier abuser mainly for survival inside and out the relationship. Shin tsukimi was probably never like this and due to thier abuse and his low survival rate in the killing games he adopted Midori's name and manipulative behavior as a means of survival. He doesnt really actively enjoy it but he kinda has to do it

I ship SouShin but I don't see it as anything healthy really. A more abusive, manipulative, complicated relationship that I wouldn't mind for the story (I also love KeiSou because I'm a woman of culture but angsty SouShin is good too).
