If one is to understand the great depth of Star Wars, one must be willing to dive deeply into the Canon, the EU/Legends, and all its revisions. This period of Star Wars lore is thick with content and meaning that must slowly be consumed like fine chocolate.. best to let it melt in your mouth and be washed down with brandy. I believe essential reading must include Dark Horse's Star Wars Republic series as well as Traviss' Republic Commando novels. Beyond these works are many considerations that can be chosen at will. TCW, while great, is really the near surface lore that one must be familiar with before one dives deeply into the additional EU/Legends materials of this period. I used to read real History, but now I have taken on Star Wars and it requires... total.. commitment. Good content, man!
There is one class you missed featured in the swbf2 2005 game, there isn’t a lot of info on them tho. The rail class arcs that the kaminoans manufactured in the clone rebellion. They all got wiped out by boba fett during that battle though and were likely less skilled than the arcs that had come before them probably since lacked the mandalorian training.
I was never a big fan of Star Wars, it was always too much of that Saturday morning cartoon kinda vibe to it. That all changed when I discovered the Clone Troopers and now the only thing I like outta Star Wars are the Clones haha
If you are really into the clone trooper parts of star wars I'd suggest ya reading the galaxy's edge book series... I don't mean star wars galaxy's edge... There's a series called galaxy's edge by Jason Anspach and Nick Cole... First book is called Legionaire ... It's basically star wars for the fans of the military aspects of it
Cool Video, I just don't like how you mix the EU with TCW as if it's one harmonious thing. TCW does not fit in the EU continuity and even barely fits in with the films so it really should be talked about separately from them and the EU.
I will have to agree with you. in the TCW, ARC are just normal clones with better training and a higher rank like we see in tcw normal standard clones become ARC, and this go against the idea behind the ARC that the EU built
I did this because as far as I know that’s the canon explanation for some of the clone wars multimedia project stuff. Some fits some doesn’t. Either way; thanks for watching!
I will respectfully disagree with this, as when we look at the timeline for the animated, clone wars, it actually fits in perfect with the EU universe, as far as the arc troopers go. First as stated, the null class troopers are the ones who found general grievous in the revenge of the Sith (stated as clone intelligence, but but provides a perfect way to integrate them as previous lore was that it was the nulls). Second, TCW happens around midpoint of the war as far as I can tell. This is indicated by the fact that Anakin Skywalker is a knight, as well as the fact that every commander who has gone through the training program, such as Rex, Cody and the others, have already graduated and have been well into the war by this point. third, when we finally see ARC troopers for the first time, they are in a experimental phase 2 armor. This further solidifies the timeframe, as after the first year phase 2 armor was in testing with the ARC’s, and at that point in the war over half the original ARC’s had been killed. The deaths of half along with the increased demand for ARC’s for led to them promoting regular clones. The promoting of regular clones is why we see many instances of subpar performance from the promoted ARC’s even, with the exception of Fives. Fives was one of those exceptions where he seemed closer to an alpha than any others. So taking this into account, it’s perfectly reasonable to say that TCW falls perfectly in line with the EU universe (obviously with all the stories in the EU universe, you’re going to have some continuity errors, but for the most part, it falls in line). because we haven’t seen any of the main characters from the EU universe for the most part, doesn’t mean they can’t be integrated, and I think the door is wide open with how the universe lies and the timeframe for this to happen. Again, remember that by the point of TCW, we’re already about halfway through the war, as indicated by the above factors. I recall correctly phase 2 armor was fully integrated a little after the halfway point of the war.
@@taylorroberts8288 TCW is stated to start 2 months after Geonosis and Anakin was knighted in the second half of the war not the middle and also after Barris Offee was knighted who is supposed to be around the same age as him, as seen in AotC and all the EU. Also the concept of microchips goes against the entire characterization of the clones prior to TCW as AotC states: "the clones have been genetically modified to be less independent than the original host and to follow any order" There was never a kill switch in their brain that made them turn against the Jedi as they never worked for the Jedi, they worked for the Republic aka Palpatine and would follow any order regardless of their own feelings. Only the ARCs could chose not to follow the orders given to them. In TCW, all the clones act like ARC troopers; they talk back, have unique personalities and have the ability to defect from the republic. The clones are bread with their respective station in mind, a regular clone cannot be promoted to a commander and a commander can not be demoted to regular infantry.
Ok changes like mentioned here are good points. However. I think all the changes mentioned still do not disqualify it from being in line with the EU. The reason I say this is while there are continuity conflict, I do believe some of those can be considered more of a retcon. remember how many continuity errors there are within the EU universe itself. It’s always funny how from book to book there’s always the confusion of timeframe, the relationships, etc.. They are all good points that you made though and I do particularly like the change to the microchips. My point is due to the above things, I mentioned with some of the timeframe, and since we know that phase 2 armor was in development around the timeframe specified, we can Integrate the original concept of the ARC troopers and all the clones in general were trained into Canon. Yes, we have a few continuity errors to be such as Anakin knighting and such, but to me, a lot of those are easy to fix. To clear up any confusion, my previous post was more on the ease of which we could actually integrate the original ARC trooper lore and even the Republic commando series into the current canon as there’s enough corresponding lower between current canon and the previous EU. The one thing I would disagree with you on is the last statement that clones cannot be promoted to commander or demoted as such, as in TCW at this time, ARC’s are a promotion and have command authority, for example, Jesse, being a lieutenant. remember fives and echo were both regular infantry troops and were promoted to be ARC’s.

who was best? the alpha or the nulls ?
The nulls skill wise, but since they are uncontrollable I would say the alpha arcs. Thank you for watching!

I still need to get more into the old republic. It’s the one part I haven’t really explored, thank you for watching!
They’re good but not better than arcs
Star wars es fantasia.
