It means "to believe", as he also sings in Hebrew. The meaning here is to believe in love, "Ahava" - which also is a cosmetics company in Israel. One can see their logo AHAVA® ("Love®") in the background on the promotional video which was made for this song. The song is not just about erotic love between two people but more about love over nation boundaries and between the various versions of the Judaic Abrahamic religions (therefore including Christianity and Islam), which is also depicted in the promotional video. But ahava also means much more (or much less!) in Hebrew than it does in most languages, it also means things like obedience, as in obeying the Patriarchs and the 613 commandments in the Holy Book of the Talmud that must be obeyed to render G-d's love, or the "love" of the Great Sanhedrin (the religious court system/the politico-religious government). Ahava is conditional, which Love in truth usually is also with Westerners, although they may not realize it. But Westerners may also have a notion of unconditional love, as with a child's unconditional love for her mother, or the love a pet dog gives her mistress, etc. In this case, probably the most valid interpretation of "leha'amin" to believe in the possibility for "ahava" love is if "shalom" peace is obtained between nations or peoples. But as with other Hebrew words, "shalom" means more and less than Western "peace", because shalom includes an element of dominance: When there has been a conflict and shalom is declared, it also means that the defeated part is immobilized or pacified by the victor's supremacy and therefore the battle ends; so it's subjugation, also. Therefore the wars between peoples must end, but only with battle, and when the enemies have been subjugated, there will be conditional love, conditional peace and reign supreme by the victor.
