You are correct in the fact that you don't need lockers for serious off roading, but only due to the advancements in technology when it comes to traction systems. The advantage of lockers is that you won't break your ride as fast- because there is less jerking. Additionally a vehicle without lockers will get stuck faster because you have to allow the vehicle to spin before the traction kicks in. Nice driving and great vid. 👍
Agreed - lockers are not required for off-roading. I wheeled out west in the Rockies for many years, in mostly stock CJs with open diffs. That was before the current "arms race" with factory rear/front lockers and various other off-road components. Some folks are WAY over-equipping their 4x4s these days. What percentage of Sasquatch Broncos even leave the pavement? Also in terms of entertainment, I find the videos of lesser equipped Broncos generally more fun to watch. Some of the maxed out Sas drivers seem half asleep climbing obstacles on auto-pilot, lol. It's arguably more fun having to work more with your vehicle, picking correct lines and being more in tune with what's going on because you have to.
What tires, tire pressure, and GOAT modes did you use? Also are you still on the stock suspension with a 1" or 2" lift? Really, very impressive Krista, you've become the real deal behind the wheel. There was a time when I would have thought that I was as brave as you, but I think that you have taken things beyond where I would go (especially if I knew that I would be needing to drive all the way back to Florida).
That was the scariest for me, worrying about breaking it and not being able to get home. I have a 4” spacer fabtech lift, so not stock height but still no coil overs. I don’t believe that you wouldn’t do that 😊
Great vid. After watching I need more lockers! You got guts girl! A great guide makes all the diff. Plus not having 20 other Broncos going thru all that.
When I had my Jeep, it did not have locker, so basically if you want locker on the vehicle you do not have to replace the whole differential, you can use the same differential just replace the gear which is not hard to do, and drill a hole on top for an air locker you got to have like an ABS air system on vehicle to work.
Thought I would come by and check out your page. My buddy Billy knew who your were, and introduced himself, when we ran into your group in the Maze and mentioned you were on youtube. We were the group of Early Broncos and a Cherokee XJ behind you in The Maze. What was the really loud ratcheting sound we heard when you were trying the 2nd climb after the steep drop off? We could hear it on all your attempts to get up that climb.
We think it some sort of safe guard set for non locking diffs. Had multiple people look at over the last year and no one can seem to figure out if it’s a problem?
I am thoroughly impressed as to what our Broncos can do...sure, mine can't do all that cause its stock....not lifted nor does it have bigger than 32 inch tires....but WOW!! Great job!!!
Did the Corsa turn down exhaust suffer any damage, or did it hold up just fine? Also, were you running the Corsa air intake during this trip? Awesome footage.
That was *AMAZING!* My Outer Banks *has* the Sasquatch package, with its lockers and advanced 4WD and all that, and I'm not sure I'd take it on a level 8 trail! Wow!
Im impressed by your 1st time driving but damn those tie rods are screaming. I agree u dont NEED lockers but having at least a rear locker is something that will save your vehicle from much damage
You can go with out lockers but seems like you put way more stress on everything without. Def worth the investment. Would not be too hard to add a couple ARB lockers sense you already have an ARB compressor installed. So was it just me or did you delete your latest video about the whole channel life update? Either way best of luck in your endeavors.
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV Sorry, you are right for some reason it wasn’t showing in my feed. Maybe because I already watched it. keep up the great content! New Bronco owner here.

Pucker up buttercup! You are awesome! My heart was in my throat for most of the video. There is nothing you cannot do Krista.🐶
Hahah I was picketed up and my heart in my throat the whole time driving 😂😂😂

It would take a long time with 20 broncos 😊
Great video!
Thanks!
This was awesome. Kind of surprised more people don’t go dark mode full time on their screen, looks so much better!
Looks like you got a little western out here in Utah. Its called the best adrenaline rush and such more you need to come and do.
It was awesome, I can’t wait to come back!

Let me know in advance. I will try to meet up and help guide to some amazing trails in south eastern Utah
About time, lol. BTW, the reason he could drive that Bronco up that in reverse at the end was because that's the power of Carbonized Gray. ;)
Hahaha that one is more powerful 😂

The camera work and editing is very well done. 👏
Thank you!
Awesome job and making me jealous! I’d love to do that trail and obstacles. Hoping either later this year or next to make the trip.
You will enjoy it!
Looks like you had fun. Wish I was there with you but I blew up the motor in my Jeep Renegade and I replaced it with a Chevy Captiva AWD.
Wow! That sounds like a crazy story!
@BuckleUpButtercupTV it would be if it wasn't true
You and butter cup were amazing had me sitting on the edge of my seat, beautiful view
Haha hood :) thank you, it’s beautiful there!

What did you think of being on 3 wheels rocking? Im finally getting use to it.
I’m still not used to it 😂😂 I scream every time!
Great job and great content!!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!! 😎🙏🇺🇸🌹
Thank you so much!
What axle ratio did you have in this video?
373
@@BuckleUpButtercupTV did you have any issues with overheating the trans with the big tires and stock gears?
I am thoroughly impressed as to what our Broncos can do...sure, mine can't do all that cause its stock....not lifted nor does it have bigger than 32 inch tires....but WOW!! Great job!!!
There were stock Broncos doing some cool stuff, even stock they are very capable 😊
Did the Corsa turn down exhaust suffer any damage, or did it hold up just fine? Also, were you running the Corsa air intake during this trip? Awesome footage.
Exhaust held up great and I was also using the intake! And… thank you 😊
Very nice! That OBX got some flex 💪
Oh yeah!!
Cool video
Thanks
