Why does nobody talk sbout the 1080ti? It has 11GB VRAM, and it outperforms the 3060 (in raw performance). And it's only like 180-250€ here in Ireland, and it's even cheaper in America but VAT is high in Ireland. So...
mostly agree with everything, even though we will never see eye to eye on the 4070ti super vs 7900xt but its good to see AMD has solved the problem with the 7900xt thanks to price drops and I think the pick of the mid-range is the 7900gre, that card is something else, it doesn't even lose out that much if at all to the 4070 at RT, really love that card. Good to see you acknowledging the ARC gpu's for the value they bring especially the a580 as drivers have taken to being faster than the 6600 for less money,
It’s pretty nice to see All-Intel Gaming PCs and graphical rendering workstations entering the market, it’ll definitely encourage some more competition with NVIDIA and AMD in various areas of hardware/software development.
@@Mc_Whitty Similar to what AMD did with the integration of Ryzen and Radeon, I suspect that Intel will develop a driver management app that integrates both Core and Arc as the GPU series becomes more and more prominent in terms of performance and compatibility.
Do keep in mind that a 10% increase in GPU price for 10% more performance is really good because your system cost is not gonna be anywhere close to 10% more. I just got the 7900 GRE a day after it released and it's been really good.
Just got a 7900 GRE -the sapphire pulse version- and even at 100% workload it doesn't reach 65 degrees, I bought a new pc after many years of using a i5-6600k and a gtx 1070 and I'm super satisfied with the performance this card gives.
Holy shit! I watched this channel a ton when I started building my first PC in 2018, then your videos just disappeared from my feed. Cool to see you again!
It's bizarre to me that no one is talking about AI software use cases with graphics cards. I bought a 7900 xtx because of the VRAM and how dependent stable diffusion is on it. But it turns out AMD cards have TERRIBLE software compatibility issues with almost all AI applications. Yes I game, but I also do creative stuff for my work. An AMD card is almost worthless for my work. I don't understand why you youtubers keep ignoring this fact. You're recommending cards that just straight up don't work for one of the most popular use cases in the world right now, AI. Now I have to worry about selling my 7900 xtx to get a 4080 or 4090.
We recommend graphics cards for gamers first, hence the titles of these videos having “gaming” in them. What creative work do you do though? Video editing? Animating? 7900 XTX should do quite well for video editing unless you’re dealing with LOG H.265 4K footage on the regular from a high end camera.

I have a question Scattervolt. What GPU would you recommend to me since I don't play AAA titles. Mainly Jrpgs and indie titles. I was thinking of getting 7800 xt, but do I really need to spend $500 if I'm not playing AAA titles?
As someone who, for work, exclusively uses Nvidia (my company pays them), I don't understand where gamers fit in, looking objectively. I can't see any Nvidia GPU being anywhere near a top 5 spot. Great company to own stock in, awful company for gamers. Microcenter now has amazing bundles that allow you to build with 7800x3d and RX 7900 XTX for as low as $1,700 using all high quality components from top manufacturers. That said, I know you have to mention them, I get it.
Yes sir! Amazon had a super random deal! It showed up in various amounts over a few days (15, 17, and 18 % off). Looks to be full price again now. I originally bought it at $1,095, saw it at $890 about 2 days later after I watched your $2000 build video about 8 times to get hyped... and after it arrived, I messaged Amazon and they price matched and credited the difference to a gift card directly to my account!@@ScatterVolt

Great help, merci ! It's getting very difficult to pick the right hardware at the right price, in this jungle. Keep on the good work, I'm already going to buy an ARC for casual gaming and video editing. You are the only one pointing this : ARC is good for creatives. Thx again. My wallett thanks you too... :p
I just ordered all new parts for my new pc and I was debating if I should get 7800xt or 7900 gre. At the end I chose to go with 7800xt because in my country there's 120 dollar difference between the 2 , so 10% more performance wasn't worth it. I snagged 7800xt for 480€ whereas GRE costs 600 €
I had my eyes targeting RTX 4080, but timely they released RTX 4080 super when i got the money. So i have the super version for the same buck as a 4080 but with better performance and it even outshines 7900 XTX in some games and they cost about the same. But why did i choose 4080 super over 7900 XTX? Well, RAY TRACING. If you check performance for the XTX on 1080p, 1440p, 4K ultra settings with best ray tracing quality and compare it to 4080 super. Wow XTX sucks big time. AMD is not good at ray tracing at all. Like 50% lower FPS for the same money. And 16gb vram on the super will keep me going until the next 5-7 years when its time to change computer again anyhow. So i would choose 4080 super over 7900 XTX any day.
I understand the issue with a 700+ dollar card not having 16 gigs, (4070ti) but I REAALLY think tech reviewers are overblowing the 4070 supers "lack of ram." There is like 1 game that even gets close to 12gb of usage, even in 4k. And let's be real, if you are playing in 4k, you probably are looking at the 4080 super. Maybe in a couple years you have to go from Max to a high/ultra mix of settings. Whoop de doo. 😂 Otherwise, for 1440p...the 4070 super is a really good card. Frame gen can do a LOT now. It isn't a gimmick. And if you are running any type of rt or fsr, you are gonna want dlss. And you are gonna be in a better spot than amds cards unless you want to throw another at least 100 or 2 dollars at the situation. I always hear people talking about futureproofing. But then the future gets here, and none of the plans make any sense any more. Idk. 😂 The one thing I would say is if you want a mid/high end pc, but only have a low/mid budget...something in the new ryzen socket with an oversized psu (that is set for your target oc, down the line) might make sense. If you plan to upgrade in say, 6 months or something. Otherwise, for 95% of people, you are just overpaying for something you don't need. 🤷♂️
I got a refurbished Powercolor Hellhound 7800XT for $450. I was considering getting the 7900GRE but I couldn't pass up that deal. I'm loving it for super high refresh rate 1080p gaming. I have a 1080p 360hz monitor and ill probably upgrade to 1440p around Christmas

I upgraded from using a 12 y old Hp dv6000 with integrated GPU to a laptop with rtx 4060 for just 800 bucks and I am super duper happy! Don't get a rtx 4060 if you have something like 3060 or 2050/2060 already however if you were someone like me who had this potato system, 4060 is a great pick imho
4070 super is overpriced. Biased, NVIDIA right now is not good for budget, if you have the extra money, buy from NVIDIA, but AMD right now is the way to go with the 7800xt 7900 GRE and the 6800 xt. As well as the rx 7900 xt that just dropped to $700
I think a 6800, 7800XT, 7900GRE, 7900XT would be fine for most people. 7900XTX it's great and chonky. 4080S and 4090 the pricing is too high at this point. If I were buying all over again ignoring the 7800XT and 7900XTX I have would likely go for the 7900XT.
I love how Nvidia doesn't have a under 500$ option it's almost like you get the dogwater 4060/4060ti or make a 100+$ jump to a 4070. This is why I will always be AMD they don't price trap you as they have good gpu's at every price range.
I really hope you see this. But I’m going 7900 GRE on my graphics card. But I’m stuck on either the sapphire nitro + or the Power Color Red Devil version and don’t know which would be the better of the two considering they’re the same price. I’d appreciate your input a lot please :)
Skipping so many things that that 3050 can provide to certain pc builders and certain games it performs well on being that they are optimized better for Nvidia. I agree with everything except the fact that this card is dog shit. It’s really not. The amount of new cards under $200 is small and especially those that are reliable. Just remember that 6gb 3050 can play all the new titles. Not max settings and with dlss it’s decent and dollar per frame it’s worth it. I am thinking abt getting a rx6650xt but for the sapphire pulse rx6650xt its price is around $350 but there is also a brand name "PELADN rx6650xt" which is gng around $300 know even tho the peladn card is $50 cheap and white i never heard of peladn brand so should i go with "sapphire pulse rx6650xt" for $50 more or "peladn rx6650xt" for $50 less and white color ??? Pls i need help the brand "peladn" is new for me and im worried that there maybe a performance issue
There won’t be a performance issue
@@ScatterVolt thanks mate really appreciate it :)
Why does nobody talk sbout the 1080ti?
It has 11GB VRAM, and it outperforms the 3060 (in raw performance).
And it's only like 180-250€ here in Ireland, and it's even cheaper in America but VAT is high in Ireland.
So...
Also my built had a rx 7800xt, And i still got the rx 7900gre. And gave it to my friend who had an rtx 4060ti. Ik Im such saint fr 😆. For free btw
mostly agree with everything, even though we will never see eye to eye on the 4070ti super vs 7900xt but its good to see AMD has solved the problem with the 7900xt thanks to price drops and I think the pick of the mid-range is the 7900gre, that card is something else, it doesn't even lose out that much if at all to the 4070 at RT, really love that card.
I'm still holding out hope that intel drops a banger of a gpu with amazing drivers.
I ordered a 7900 GRE nitro for benchmarking!
@@ScatterVolt For me its a little less benchmarking and a lot more Warzone lol
Just got a 7900 GRE -the sapphire pulse version- and even at 100% workload it doesn't reach 65 degrees, I bought a new pc after many years of using a i5-6600k and a gtx 1070 and I'm super satisfied with the performance this card gives.
The lower end 40 series cards are terrible. The product quality is just sub par.
I hope we get a 4060 super and 4060 ti super to fix all the problems and replace them like with the 4070 super and 4080 super
Appreciate that you considered a lot of budget ranges.
It’s what I’ve always been known for!
I love your content, can you make a 900-1000$ build with Ryzen 5 7500F and a rx 7700xt/rx 6800??
Holy shit! I watched this channel a ton when I started building my first PC in 2018, then your videos just disappeared from my feed. Cool to see you again!
Welcome back Sebastian!
I recently bought my very first PC, pairing a 7900X with a 7900XTX. Took months of savings, but the result is worth it
Does it have any heat issues?
@@theepicboy556 you mean the cpu or gpu? In any case, I barely see them pass 70°C in any case, and I live in a tropical country, my room has no air-conditioner
Scattervolt... what is this. U uploaded right after i slept,BRUHHUHHH . I just saw this after breakfast. 💀
Hehe
Pretty informative video and the recommendations were on point. 🏅
I agree the best bang for your "overpriced" buck is the 4070 super. I recently got a 4070 super founders edition it's freaking awesome at 1440p and is also really good at 4k of course with the help of dlss and frame gen.
Nvidia graphics cards get more valuable as they go up in price haha 😅
Just got my bonus and I'm making the jump from a mobile 1070 to a desktop 7900XT (or XTX?) - pumped!!
(Don't worry, I'm not getting the reference card)
This will be life changing for you haha. Now is a good time to buy a GPU too. Enjoy!
I'm so happy I just got a brand new RX 6750 XT from Amazon for around $320 (I got a discount from my bank)
Incredible! Enjoy!
A used 3090 is available for INR 50k here (or USD 600 something). For context a brand new 4070 ti is available around INR 70K (which is around 900 USD). Is it worth it to get the 3090 at $600?
a few weeks back i was looking to upgrade from my 4060 but didnt want to break the bank on a 4070 or 6800xt with both being well over $500 at the time, well i went with the RX 6800 at $399 and boy is this thing a mf TANK
Edit: I meant 7800xt at first not 6800xt
You should be good for a long while
Hey Scatter Volt, Im looking to build my first pc and Am thinking going with a 4060ti 16gb Vram and a microcenter Ryzen 7 7700x bundle with a b-650 pro wifi and 32gb ddr5 which would be about 1000$. Do you agree with the build? Much love on the channel!!
For $1000, that is good
@@ScatterVolt good looks, Micro center has some really good amd and intel cpu bundles right now.
I have a question Scattervolt. What GPU would you recommend to me since I don't play AAA titles. Mainly Jrpgs and indie titles. I was thinking of getting 7800 xt, but do I really need to spend $500 if I'm not playing AAA titles?
At that point, it literally does not matter what you get or how much you spend
for under $200 i would get a used 1080/1080ti. If you don't care about ray tracing or power consumption then this is a great buy.
Fair point
As someone who, for work, exclusively uses Nvidia (my company pays them), I don't understand where gamers fit in, looking objectively. I can't see any Nvidia GPU being anywhere near a top 5 spot. Great company to own stock in, awful company for gamers. Microcenter now has amazing bundles that allow you to build with 7800x3d and RX 7900 XTX for as low as $1,700 using all high quality components from top manufacturers. That said, I know you have to mention them, I get it.
What to pair with i5 13400f (gaming+streaming)
thanks, i think i'll be buying the rx 6800 for ark acended.
ok this made me feel good about my gpu choice again
I got a XFX 6750xt for 330€ 4 months ago
I never thought the day I would see a RUclips video that has 99 views and counting
It's breathtaking
Grabbed the Sapphire Nitro+ RX 7900 XTX Vapor-X for 18% off! Woohoo! ($890 vs. $1,095)
For $890???????
After much deliberation I decided to get rx 6800 non xt. I got it for $389 off of Amazon. It’s had 16 gb of vram. It just made the most sense money is still kind of tight right now.
Would you recommend I get a gigabyte 4060 triple fan aero for 330usd or an asrock 6700xt (2 fans) for 350usd? The 4060 goes really well with my white themed build but the 6700xt doesn’t 😭
You gotta make a choice
Performance or Looks (that only you will be able to see 😜)
Why not paint 6700
How do you compare the 3090 vs 4060/70/70Ti? Performance and price range?
Got the msi 4080 super for $1050, $1121 after tax, first pc build ever and don't plan to upgrade for at least 5-10 years; did amd ryzen 7 78003xd as well. Saw some AMD 7900xtx issues and did not want to deal with any potential issues if you're spending $1k for a gpu anyway
Like what issues?
Almost always the issues are caused by user error, such as not properly installing the drivers, I've had my 7800xt work flawlessly since I've gotten it
I’m super happy with my RX6800. For its price, it’s just insanely fast and plays in its own league in terms of price to performance ratio.
I use it paired with a i5 13400f, which will be replaced by a 13600k soon, 32gb of cl16 3200mhz ram and it runs any modern game in 1440p high to max settings with ease. The adrenaline software is a dream as well
What's the best Ryzen processor for an excellent gaming rig.
I have a Ryzen 5 3600 and plan to upgrade soon. I was thinking Ryzen 9 5900x.
Also what's the best card to pair with one?
I have a GeForce 2060 6gb and was thinking Radeon 7800xt
For gaming, get the Ryzen 5800X3D with VCache. On the AMD 4 platform, it's the bees knees.
@@dreadtrain2846 k thanks
i saw in some past video you benchmarked the 6700 XT and it outperformed the other GPUs despite being older, and based on that i bought one for my first pc build, used but at an amazing price (200€) so, thanks for the advice
You’re welcome!
I was just about to ask, why know one ever talks about the 6800 any more and then it appeared in your hand, lol.. I just upgraded from a 6600xt to the 6800 for (384 Euros)and am loving it...
Imo the best value graphics cards are used 6800,6800xt and 6900xt. I got a 6900xt for 420.
Facts. I won’t argue with that!
Asrock Radeon RX 7900 XTX Taichi 24GB Videocard have it for 3 months now really enjoy it if you have the money go for it :) paid €999,- for it in sale

Nicd vid, what gpu for my i5 6400? Ill get a r5 3600 tho, budget around 150 i thought of a rx 6600 used.

i got an RX 580 brand new on Newegg for 85 dollars from a company called peladin and the card rules. its got 8gb of VRAM and it runs pretty much any game on at least medium low settings. Its runs helldivers 2 no problem. i know they are still selling RX 580's for 100 or less. i feel like the creator of this video should have known that.
Great help, merci ! It's getting very difficult to pick the right hardware at the right price, in this jungle. So, I went for the 7700 XT, a good price for my needs : gaming at 1440p 60 fps, nothing more. So, good going for me.
Keep on the good work, I'm already going to buy an ARC for casual gaming and video editing. You are the only one pointing this : ARC is good for creatives.
Thx again. My wallett thanks you too... :p
Thank you!
I just bought a 6600 for 189 for a 1080p build I'm putting together to sell
Team green hates me
I just ordered all new parts for my new pc and I was debating if I should get 7800xt or 7900 gre. At the end I chose to go with 7800xt because in my country there's 120 dollar difference between the 2 , so 10% more performance wasn't worth it. I snagged 7800xt for 480€ whereas GRE costs 600 €
Correct choice given your prices
we can't force people to accept our opinion even if our opinion is true, keep up the good work brother😊
In my country the 6800xt is still stuck at the price from the crypto boom days at like 800 something and above dollars 😅😅😅. They never went down
Haha
I understand the issue with a 700+ dollar card not having 16 gigs, (4070ti) but I REAALLY think tech reviewers are overblowing the 4070 supers "lack of ram."
There is like 1 game that even gets close to 12gb of usage, even in 4k.
And let's be real, if you are playing in 4k, you probably are looking at the 4080 super.
Maybe in a couple years you have to go from Max to a high/ultra mix of settings. Whoop de doo. 😂
Otherwise, for 1440p...the 4070 super is a really good card.
Idk. 😂
The one thing I would say is if you want a mid/high end pc, but only have a low/mid budget...something in the new ryzen socket with an oversized psu (that is set for your target oc, down the line) might make sense.
In that case, the 7800XT is the definite better buy.
As always, he never fails to deliver on what you're pondering about! ❤
Thank you!
i love my 4060 ti 16GB best budget 4k gpu thanks to DLSS, i only super light gaming 95% pure entertainment with my budget 4k monitor Viewsonic VA2762-4K 60hz sRGB 104% HDR10.. so sad most reviewer these days only tunneling Gaming purpose..
I'm due an upgrade... waiting for Intel Battlemage before I plunge...
I like you!
The gripe would never had happened if it was called a 3040ti or some shit like that
I buy 7900xt Asus TUF rignt now and temperatures are not going over 57°c :D Thats crazy for me...but the while coin is there :( That is only thins who make me sad :(
I focused to much on the guy in the video I forgot about the GPUs. Let me re-watch it again. For the GPUs of course... 😍😍😍

6650xt vs rtx 3060 12gb at same price which one to buy !?

I would compare people who buy overpriced Nvidia video cards to people who live in New York City who pay for overpriced walk in closet sized apartments. Easily finessed by the delusion of grandeur.
Just built a gaming rig and decided to go with a new $328 6750XT. I just missed the $380 6800, but I’m happy with my choice in the $300 range.
As long as you’re happy then that’s good!
Great video!! These videos are so subjective but you did a great job backing up your opinion with reasoning and explaining where you would buy your gpus from.
