A lot of people seem to want singer buffed further, but I'm not sure how much more you could buff singer before it outshines melee barb builds. That's my only concern with singer buffs, that it would become THE meta barb build, and all melee barb builds become inferior, which kinda breaks with the goal of enhancing the class identity/fantasy that VV is going for. I much prefer singer remain the weird off-meta mage barb. I personally am fine with where it is, but i think it could be buffed quite a bit before it becomes op and causes dps inflation in the meta. I think singer qualifies as a "usable" build, which was one of VV goals with the buffs.

Looks like fun build, barb version of nova sorc/necro. Question is how easy is it to stack mf on it versus pitzerker. Also either dual wizzspike or faith merc would alleviate most mana problems.
It's nearly the same on switch. The zerker will have more MF due to the off hand main on the Zerker being MF focused (vs hoto), but the switch for both of them will likely be nearly identical. The singer will be much tankier and a little slower to clear.
did they buff this even more? I just rushed a lvl 99 barb to hell today on the ptr, I didn't have a torch or a single war cry GC and it was already doin 3k at lvl 36, it looks like, It can go to 50 with everything, I think it will hit like 4-5k dmg

Cause having to fully deck out with 9x warcry gcs n and skill everywhere on gear … the damage needs to be above 4k+ to justify all the + skills space sacrifice. Overall … a change in the right direction

Reduce mana cost to .5 and increase the radius size to match frost nova and nova. Reduce the stun length to compensate for the increased radius. No class should infinitely stun lock enemies. There needs to be some risk vs reward.
The main problem is not the damage or the mana cost, it's the damage type, it's freaking 100% PHYSICAL DMG! Until they give warcry 50% magic damage, it's basically useless in most part of hell. They can increase the damage by 10 fold it's still just a pit singer.
Concerning the new runewords, should they make a "cheaper" infinity? I feel like they should. Having so many immunes at the start of hell with no infinity sucks with any elemental class.
Nah man, either respec, new gear, run nightmare for a bit, skip some enemies, get a friend to party up. The game doesn't need to be easier right when you get to hell.
No, but I think it would be really cool if infinity could be made in more than just polearms. Feels like a wasted opportunity to not have an infinity staff. Berserker axe. You name it.
I play solo hardcore. I'm all for a challenge, but my trap assassin can't even kill anything in act 1 hell. "Just use fireblast!!" Fireblast isn't my cup of tea, saying that in the nicest way possible. Bigger area would make this very viable maybe the same damage for the current area with a half damage larger area, this would like you telestomp boss packs focus the boss and kill minions and move on could be fun 🤩
It is already viable. I outfarmed sorcs with singing and item find to start d2r and now it's getting a boost. You don't need a bigger range anything that's far away you can taunt to you.

Hi Mr. Llama. I subbed on Twitch a few months ago, but I haven’t been back there since. Can you please enable audio and 720p or greater resolution on YT? Thanks.
this game needs a bard class with like 1 bard tree and 2 of enemy uther classes trees just think off all the cool builds & the bard tree needs to be pure buff made for teaming up bringing people together to show off your crazy builds .& as a IRL bard i always got split class in every game
It doesn't appear to matter to me what build I see these days... I just hate enigma. Llama is teleporting instead of using the bloody Barb leap skills. This just shows that teleport or having it on a char is broken.
Now you say to pump energy. Singer was my main through d2r and mana was an issue because I listened to all the guides saying not to put points into energy.
Sprit sword, Insight on merc and mana on some charms helps a ton. And yes, upping your energy a bit is not terrible in a super mana hungry build like this.
Offtopic. Like many others here, i have spent a lot of time in d2 over the years. Found such items, as man-song and metal grid. Dropped runes as high as Jah. Found 5 oculus in 3 days, and 4 druid shadow plates in 2 days. Never managed to drop a single shako. That is all.
Its kinda sad that the shout barb is the best option to lvl him. I wish blizz buff whirlwind early levels so we could have it as an option to lvl as a ladder starter.
I think we need something like a budget enigma alternative for that and maybe for Infinity. They have to be a lot weaker for sure but that would improve build diversity.
@Steven van der Kolk Frankly, the game needs to not be balanced around infinity in the first place. You can't really decrease the role of teleport, since players will always value speed, but reducing the gold tax on the Enigma alternatives that do exist would definitely be a step in the right direction. Reducing the gold tax on all charge items would be even better.
Do you think this is really safety builds? maybe relatively? I don't thinks so he don't have life leach, don't have high block rate(most people use dual HOTO) and he invest half points to energy that makes lower health and tiny skill radius can not stun missile and caster monsters and most Importantly this is still shitty damage so he can't kill monster pretty quickly that connected safety issue
I enjoy these videos but I've learned they're rarely going to be 'practical' overviews of anything. Dual hoto and enigma, huh? A full inventory of skill charms? It doesn't matter what skill you use at that point. I've put hundreds of hours into D2 and I know for a fact I'll never even approach that much gear, so watching people run around with these 'builds' to demonstrate how balanced a skill is at level 45 or whatever is useless to me.
And 95% of the players out there who can't no life d2. Like it would be fun to be that insanely wealthy but these guys are like "Oh I found four HRs and an SoJ in 500 cow runs, anyone can do it!" Most people can't spend 30 hours in 3 days doing cows. I did a little farming when d2r dropped and I don't mind a little farming but I got like: 2x shakos, skullders, travs, gores, gface, 4x gheeds, ravenfrost... on Mephy Andy and ran 250 or 300 cows (usually around 4 players with my Blizz sorc). My best runes were Vex, Mal, 2x Puls, Um. Basically a bunch of mid rune stuff. I probably played 120 hours. I think Llama's guided playthroughs are better videos for casual players. I like walking the game I just wish it was more rewarding.
I think we are all waiting for blizzard to retract, we need to level the current dominance that javazon and blissorc have for farming, we need to buff hydra again, we need more builds not dependent on full itemization, buff the bases of some skills so that it does not Everything is an amazon sorceress or assassin to start the game by farming... hopefully... hopefully...
What about a change in the stamina System ? Right now it's quit boring while it takes quite a lot of space in the UI . I imagine mana regeneration that converts x points of stamina per second into mana with the conversion rate per stamina point increasing the more intelligence your character has. Also the conversion could be increased by some factor based on breakpoints like 1/2 mana pool or 1/4 with walk/run toggling this *adrenalin* mode on or off. With this melee chars wouldn't be so reliant on mana/kill or mana leach since they normally spec into vitality which increases the stamina pool. And Spellcasters actually had a plausible reason to spec into intelligence. Chars like the cold ama/ trapsin/ or singer barb falling in between those categories helping them on the playthrough
Mana and health potions in diablo 2 can crit to restore 2.5 times the amount. Every point in either vitality or energy increases crit change by 0.25%. This is true until you have a 50% chance to crit at 200 in either vitality or energy. After that you hit severe diminishing returns i.e 500 vitality will still only give you about 80% crit chance. A barbarian just gets very small amounts of mana from even the largest mana pots so putting some points into energy to increase the crit chance is not bad if you are leveling and also relying on mana pots.
I think i'd prefer the regen from insight over occasional decrep, could throw war travs on, ist the shako, take a gheeds for 100+ more mf, im glad it's a viable build now :D
They need to make this build even stronger. Its always been bad.. I made one years ago 200 fcr and it was fun but need massive dmg buff to be viable.
They can increase the damage by 10 fold it's still just a pit singer.
i mean i feel like the other builds needed more help but hey buffs are still cool
@@brosephbroheim6428 Act3 Merc with Infinity makes so much sense
I play solo hardcore. I'm all for a challenge, but my trap assassin can't even kill anything in act 1 hell. "Just use fireblast!!" Fireblast isn't my cup of tea, saying that in the nicest way possible. I know they reworked all the traps, so hopefully the fire traps paired with death sentry or something like that can help me push through this wall.
Ah yes, man at the park mustache. Well done.
Considering what is required to make this work for mana I think down to .5 or .6 rather than .75 is idea.
Bigger area would make this very viable maybe the same damage for the current area with a half damage larger area, this would like you telestomp boss packs focus the boss and kill minions and move on could be fun 🤩
It is already viable. I outfarmed sorcs with singing and item find
to start d2r and now it's getting a boost. You don't need a bigger range anything that's far away you can taunt to you.
@@Thesteadfast I’ve not tried it but it looks like it’s kinda slow compared to nova sorc or hammers, your right you have the find item but it still leaves it in same place as it was before a pit/trav specialist.
Release date?
Hi Mr. Llama. I subbed on Twitch a few months ago, but I haven’t been back there since. Can you please enable audio and 720p or greater resolution on YT? Thanks.
I'm watching it in 1080p 60fps right now?
when a video is freshly uploaded, youtube makes it 360p and bad audio until it finishes rendering it properly for their servers
@@cerberus8867 yeah, you probably subscribed before I did. 😤😖
@@dannymac6368 just give it 10 minutes and try again
Thank you for the content
this game needs a bard class with like 1 bard tree and 2 of enemy uther classes trees just think off all the cool builds & the bard tree needs to be pure buff made for teaming up bringing people together to show off your crazy builds .& as a IRL bard i always got split class in every game
well might give the build a try if i can ever afford full skillers + enigma and 2 sojs
Wait potions can crit?
It doesn't appear to matter to me what build I see these days... I just hate enigma. Llama is teleporting instead of using the bloody Barb leap skills. This just shows that teleport or having it on a char is broken.
the base run walk and monster spacing in this game is broken. more teleport, not less.
Yeah that mana cost always killed me for the BardBarian
No Anni in the inventory. And also a +6 Warcry Rare Helmet would be the best. Combined with a 3 Warcries Amu and Silkweaves...would be really strong
How do you get +6 on a rare. Do you mean +5?
@@MrMischelito +3 Warcries and +3 Warcry
I want this. I hope blizz doesn't nerf it because this might replace my hammerdin. It looks amazing
lmfao you're merc with 40+ conc does more damage than this build.
Its so better now. But still - or give it another 30% dmg or give it more radius and it will be GREAT :D
yep dmg is way too low on player8
Its kinda sad that the shout barb is the best option to lvl him. I wish blizz buff whirlwind early levels so we could have it as an option to lvl as a ladder starter.
Hey llama can you try this build on any player count other than 1? once its on p2 its garbage just like 90% of other builds
Thats why I got upset about them nerfing aura, p5-8 sucked so just nerf an impossible build to obtain with normal play!
what im seeing, 2.4 will remain the same. Frenzy or ww barb, pala hammerdin, maybe sorc hydras... but well, build diversity....
Maybe I missed it, was this players 1/3/8?
I remember bringing this char in lod classic up to 200fcr and sniping sorcs and other no block chars in pvp

anyone else confused about mana potions critting? 1.20 in video
WALT BRESLIN
I think we are all waiting for blizzard to retract, we need to level the current dominance that javazon and blissorc have for farming, we need to buff hydra again, we need more builds not dependent on full itemization, buff the bases of some skills so that it does not Everything is an amazon sorceress or assassin to start the game by farming... hopefully... hopefully...
Show us a budget singer build ! Let’s see how viable it is , as first you start with crap gear
No thanks devs don’t fix things like that
Every build I wanna try out uses Enigma but the best rune I got so far is a Sur...
Sad times
Mana crit? Can someone please explain
@@NorNamor thanks for taking the time to reply and explain. Take care bud.
As a sp players its more hard to find skillers than jah or ber
Farm flayer jungle in nightmare only and re roll the gc
Duress/treachury + eth reapers 'ber' + Guilaume 'cham' and bosses becomes easy too.

To be fair barbs needs the most help to be fun.
Are people forgetting that shout barb is more or less a joke character?
It look good enough now !
Who the hell knew that more mana makes potions crit more???
They need to make this build even stronger. Its always been bad.. I made one years ago 200 fcr and it was fun but need massive dmg buff to be viable. Even with the compromises you've made to mana and using 105 build for more dmg this build is weak vs players 3-5+. I always wanted this meme build to be a thing. Also sing barb sounds terrible. CRY BABA FTW.
they need buff other skill than skill which you can play. There are a lot of skills which are trash if comperison
D2 Barb = Bard
Probably the best build for nintendo switch
summoner slaps
I loved a WC barb is D2 but the dmg was always too low
I'm stoked for these changes!
buff damn Shockwave druid. hes ment to be the stunner lol
