The softop operation was a panty dropper at a long stoplight Maybe check the rear main or oil pressure sender or power steering supply line from reservoir, for oil leaks Misfire could be engine wire harness which can go bad by having the insulation wear open and ground out. All the headliners fail…upgrade with felt headliner.
Spark plugs, distributor caps, then next will be the rubber breather hoses on top of the engine, they got hard and brittle overtime and create a vacuum leak.

I appreciate that. Thank you! The engine and tranny is solid. Keep a couple hundred dollars off to the side for new struts down the road. Worse case scenario regarding the tranny, maybe a conductor plate. That’s cheap. Take care of the interior cosmetics and you’re good to go. For whatever reason…..the seat leather tends to be thinner on the CLS500/550. Not sure about the CLS55 AMG seats. A supercharger bearing once after 100k miles at some point. Change the belt as well. Regular full synthetic oil changes. And you’re good.

Just saw the leak coming from that hose. That is leaking because it will be hard and not creating a seal with the clamp

Love those sl but I doubt a 92 was around in 89 lol .. the 91 had the most hp out of the r129 except for the AMG

It actually has 322hp. The earlier year model had slightly more hp, before emissions regulations etc.
