I have to say. When I was in the audience at American idol each seat had a bracelet with a light on it. That way when you waved your hand it was lit up. They weren't phones
I’ve been to concerts and some of them ask for the audience to have their phone lights on. Dimash did this in 2019 and the producers did probably ask them to do it this time.
Tom Ball is a school teacher and I am certain the flashlights and phones do not bother him. H e is so wrapped up in his performance that those things are not a bother at all

I fell in love with his voice. Like you mentioned, that tone. I've not heard a lot of his stuff but everything I've heard is great.

He has an amazing voice. He was a voice and music teacher at a school. I blame the so called Super Fans for not giving him the win. His voice is pure.
