Stefan rejected Caroline first, because he was in love, with Elena. Klaus was the first boy, who didn't treat her like something useless and annoying thing. He liked her since the first moment he knew her, and we can't say the same about Stefan. He loved her, yes, but after all those years. Care loved Matt, who only used her to somehow got Elena back. Tyler wanted revenge more than her. She liked Stefan, of course she did, but she stepped away because of Elena. She cared about everyone, meanwhile Damon said her that she useless, and stupid, etc. And Klaus told her, that she's beautiful, she's full of light, she's smart and funny. And that was what she needed. If Klaus never met to her, she would stay in the way she was, an felt herself nothing. If she never met Klaus Stefan would never see the light, and beauty in her, because she wouldn't be confident enogh to show it. She needed Klaus back then, and she needs Klaus right now.

Ah... this is so touching! I actually didn't like human caroline but the moment she became a vampire, I loved her. Her & Liz had the most interesting relationship character development.

Caroline best character in TVD. She handled everything with so grace and dignity. She earned everything on her own. She never allowed anyone to taken her for granted. Two characters in TVD is my all time favourite: 1. Caroline. 2. Valerie Tulle.

Caroline is the only reason I watched this show. Like I gave up half way through season 1 and then Caroline turned in season 2 and my friend convinced me to give it another shot and I'm so glad, vampire Caroline was everything.
Edit: It still hurts me that Caroline never got to read that letter. I'm sure we can all guess what was in it, but it's still sad.
I've listened to this an unhealthy amount of times, to cry, to release built up emotions. Caroline and what happened to her is extremely relatable, friends, family and grief that no-one can fix - nothing can fix it and we all have to live and move on from that. It doesn't make the pain any less.

The only femeale character in TVD who developed so much and came a longer way from a shallow self-confident girl to a strong smart woman and mother. I love Caroline, she deserved better than being married and widowed on the same day. They could at least make Klaroline the endgame, but no.

PLEASEEEEEE Caroline is the best character and she with Stefan? That’s a joke cause she could’ve took Klaus to New Orleans but instead she’s with Stefan and he is only with her because he doesn’t want to be the only one alone. She deserved Klaus that didn’t only love her cause he was lonely but loved her cause he thinks she is a beautiful, smart, and intelligent woman.
