    Macfarlene batwing looks more a collector piece, and spinmaster looks more a toy, but looks very well!

    • @ComicallyToys
      @ComicallyToys  Год назад +1

      Yeah! I'd say Spin Master actually did an excellent job on a toy meant for children and $40 is very reasonable for it if you look at it like that.

    Great comparison. I have both also and yes the McFarlane Batwing is leagues better, but for $250 it should be. The details are great but they could have added lights at least. Yes it's overpriced but i know i would have regretted it later if i didn't buy it. 😅

      Thank you! Yeah I would have been MAD if the McFarlane wasn't a LOT better, but it really is. I think they would have sold out if they priced it at $150, but I think fans still would have bought it at $200. $250 really feels like they are putting it into a different space of collector.
      And I completely agree. Some lights would REALLY put it over the top in a great way and probably would have been the deal maker if it lit up while still priced at $250. How do you plan on displaying yours? I'm considering hanging mine from the ceiling, but unsure for now.

      @@ComicallyToys for now I have it on a bottom shelf, it fits nice with a slight bit of overhang from the front points/bat ears. I would really love to hang it from the ceiling also pointing slightly front end down so you would be able to see Keaton in the cockpit (giggidy). Just sooo scared it might fall and not sure I want to take that chance on a $250 collectible lol.

      @@cajuncoyote2039 Nice! Yeah I totally hear you on a $250 figure dropping... That's also why I hesitate on hanging it, but I'll probably end up doing some research and hopefully find a secure way to... secure it! 😅😅😅

      😂😂😂 They both certainly have their strengths and weaknesses.... I think the McFarlane would be a much better release if it were $100 cheaper.

  • @cedfam9826
    @cedfam9826 8 месяцев назад +2

    They are both great looking but I went with the spin master. I will have to do some modding but in the end $250 was too much for what essentially a bigger version of the Spinmasters. Sure it had a bit more detail but thats it’s. No lights, no sounds or even effects. I got the Batmobile and modded it for into a 2seater. That thing is awesome. If the McFarlane BW would have been like $100, even with a bit less detail or the same materials as the BM that would be cool. To those that got both or either or I hope you enjoy your playtime. I can’t wait to hanging up mine. 👍🏽

      Nice man! Did you do a 3D print for the 2 seater or otherwise how did you do it? I've considered doing something like that too since obviously it'd be more accurate, but it's also tough because I want my Batman to be able to fit inside!

      Thanks so much! It's SUPER unwieldy to try to maneuver these things because of how big they are(and how small my space is) so I'm glad I was still able to make something helpful. Also seeing the Batwing in the Flash last week really got me happy that I bought the McFarlane one! Do you have either of them or are you interested in getting either of them?

      @@ComicallyToys Most welcome. I would love to own the McFarlane Batwing. Unfortunately, I can't afford it at the moment as I need to support my family so maybe I'll buy the Spinmasters smaller scale one, as it doesn't have the hollowed out wings.

    One thing that us important us o ce you fully snap the wings on the McFarlane together it can't be taken back apart where on the spinmaster it can so for people like me who like to display an item then put it away being able to take such a large thing apart is a big deal for me.

    • @ComicallyToys
      @ComicallyToys  Год назад

      Actually it can be taken apart! It's scary though because it feels like it might break, but when I was filming I did have it fully together, then I took the wings off of both when I did the side by side and the shot with a figure inside.

    • @marvinonstage
      @marvinonstage Год назад +1

      @ComicallyToys I tried with one of the clips in and I heard the sound cracking and was lucky. Wouldn't want to try that more than once. To me the McFarlane ones plastic also felt brittle to me where the Spinmaster you can kick across the room and it won't break.

    • @ComicallyToys
      @ComicallyToys  Год назад

      Wow no kidding! I didn't hear anything when I did mine so maybe I just got lucky then. I definitely don't have a reason to keep removing the wings though so I'll just leave it put together for now. But yea, the Spin Master is SUPER durable haha

    "Mc-Kenner" Batwing is overpriced- if it has the extra 2 seats at the back and a sliding canopy opening i would get one but comparing it with the DCC BTAS Batwing (that i have) with light up features and 1 and 2 seater option is far better - Spin masters had it not been intended for kids did a good job - and i do hope they also make an '89 batmobile as a "coffin" car - most customizers would really get that - great comparison and review

    • @ComicallyToys
      @ComicallyToys  Год назад +1

      I do agree that it's a tad bit overpriced, but I don't think it's too far off from what I'd think is a more fair price($200). I'm so jealous you have the BTAS one though! From pictures it looks freaking amazing. Did you get it at retail or did you have to pay aftermarket prices on it? And do you display it? If so, how do you display it?
      I do think if McFarlane made a straight 1989 Batwing that way more people would have bought it than this version from the upcoming Flash movie. Thanks for your support!

    No one is saying that Batman in the spin master is laying down like in a coffin. No dash no seat, I feel if they went w a smaller Batman you can justify the cost of the seat and dash being put in

    • @ComicallyToys
      @ComicallyToys  Год назад

      DUDE YOU'RE SO RIGHT. Hahah! It's totally a coffin! And actually I did an eBay search and found someone that has already made a dash and seat for the Spin Master one. Obviously you'd still have to paint it and stuff. At $30 something bucks it's not TOO bad and the cost would still be less than the McFarlane one, but I think it would take a LOT of upgrades to make the Spin Master even remotely comparable to the McFarlane.

    The $250 price is paying for the engineering.

    • @ComicallyToys
      @ComicallyToys  Год назад

      Definitely a solid way to look at it. I know a lot of collectors scoffed at the $250 price, but I think if they handled one in person that they'd understand it's definitely in a different class than the Spin Master version. They are barely comparable other than size.

    • @steffontrr12
      @steffontrr12 Год назад +1

      @ComicallyToys I just got my Batwing. Yes, that $250 price did go into the engineering of this piece. Like the videos DO NOT give this gorgeous piece justice.

      It's so true! I originally ordered it because I wanted to make a video on it, but honestly I really, REALLY like it now that I've had a real chance to look at it and appreciate the design put into it. It's the kind of piece that is really classified as a collectible more than it should be classified as a toy.

      What engineering? Does it have pop out guns? Does it have nose scissors? No! The cockpit opens, and landing gear drops. Which is cool. But 250? No lights? No sound? Just an over priced toy!
