    I should be sleeping but looking at a single dorm like this makes me believe I’d thrive in an environment so comfy. With that being said, should I rent some sleeping pads for when Madi and I fly in? : ) GO BESTIE GO

    I just saw your other video and loved it! Did you move into a different dorm in between semesters? Is this newer dorm for any students ? Looks really nice!

      Thank you so much!!! I appreicate the support. So basically Spring 2022 was when I moved into the Hillside dorm. I lived in San Diego the semester before that and I moved out at the end of Spring semester because I wasn’t taking any summer classes and I didn’t like the layout of the dorm. Then I moved into this dorm fall 2022 for the 2022-2023 school year. This newer dorm building is for any student!! I’m a senior and I will say that majority of the people I encounter are freshmen or athletes but I have made a few friends who are juniors. i hope this helps! 😃

    THANK YOU I've been looking for a video of this dorm for a while!! Do you have any tips on what to say in the housing application to request a single?

    • @RadRach
      @RadRach  Год назад +2

      thank you so much for watching!! I will say I was able to get a single since i’m deaf / hard of hearing and registered with BMAC. Bmac students get priority when it comes to getting a single room. I don’t really have any tips besides registering with Bmac if you do have a disibility. Sorry if this doesn’t help :(
      I haven’t asked other people in singles how they got in. I know it’s easier for the other villages because they have more single rooms than Parkside North does

      @@RadRach Thanks for the response!! That's good to know! :) I'm submitting my application tomorrow and I'm hoping I can get it! I'm hoping for a single but I'll be happy with anything in parkside north lol

    • @RadRach
      @RadRach  Год назад +2

      @@melinaraquel7 Of course no problem! Tbh the double rooms are like 2-3x the size of my room. I wish i had a double. The only reason I got a single was because my roommate last year graduated and I knew I wouldn’t get another roommate as awesome as her. I hope you’re able to get a spot in parkside north! Also the bedrooms next to the study rooms / living rooms are the largest! try to snag one of those when it’s time to pick your room

    • @melinaraquel7

      @@RadRach I was just nervous to have a roommate since I'm an older transfer student and I have weird sleeping patterns lol but I'll make the best of whatever I get! thank you so much for those tips!! you're amazing!!

    • @RadRach
      @RadRach  Год назад +2

      @@melinaraquel7 I totally get you! I’m a little older too (23) and just to let you know that parkside north does have a lot of freshman and sophomores. Maybe look into beachside or hillside (cerritos or los alamitos) if you’d rather live with more older people. Regaurdless, I hope you’re able to get a single!!

    hii i have a question about SOAR. What is the difference between the registration and orientation days?

    • @RadRach
      @RadRach  Год назад

      Hi! Orientation is basically information about your major and you have to go to orientation in order to register for classes. Registration day is the day you can register for classes! Hope this helped :)

    do you know the dimensions of this room? I want to get a single dorm next year and I will have an ESA, a cat, and I am not sure if the space would be big enough for him to not go insane haha

    • @RadRach
      @RadRach  4 месяца назад +1

      hey! i’m not sure what the dimensions are. all 4 singles in my corner were different sizes. I had the second largest one. my neighbor with the 3rd largest room had a small cat that stayed in their room. Their cat was fine but all cats are different. maybe try to go on a tour of the dorms this spring

    Hey...Thanks for the video! Was it hard to get a single dorm room?

    • @RadRach
      @RadRach  Год назад +2

      I said this in a different comment but it wasn’t too hard for me because i’m a student registered with BMAC. We get priority and then the singles are given to other people. The doubles in Parkside north are much larger than the singles though and you’ll still be able to have your own personal space
