Hi Khrystyna, thank you so much for these tips. I'm looking into getting into the HR field myself as a mid-career switch and applying for a post-graduate diploma (I already did a bachelor's in engineering, but I'm not a technical person at all and it was a wrong choice for me). I understand that internships are so important, but there's also so much competition to even get into one. What would be your advice to differentiate me from others when applying for an internship?

Hello, great video! Thanks for these tips they are very helpful. Do you think a retail manager can transfer enough skills to get into HR? If so, what Hr position do you think i can apply for with no experience? Thank you!

Hello! Thank you for your comment. Sorry for taking awhile to respond 😅 honestly if I were in your position I wouldn't apply for HR Coordinator or HR Representative positions. Some companies due want those who apply to these positions to have HR experience, but as long as you highlight your management skills and customer service skills in your resume they could give you a chance. In an HR field you do need good customer service experience. You need to know how to treat and speak to employees.

Awesome video. 1 question. whats the difference between assistant vs associate?

    • @khrystynakv

An HR associate handles higher up tasks, similar to an HR Generalist role. They are more involved in the HR department. While a HR assistant stays within administrative tasks. HR assistant is also a basic HR position.

Hello. This usually depends where you live. For example, I live in NJ. The average income for an HR Assistant position ranges between $15 to $18 an hour. Or a salary range between $19,000 to $40,000 annually.

You sound nervous, sorry if I’m wrong, but I’m interested in hr too, but I feel like I’m not a good fit because I’m shy.

Not nervous, I was extremely out of breath due to the pregnancy. And shyness shouldn't be in the way off starting a carrier in HR. I recommend to give it a try if it's something you are interested in.
